Second time we’ve gone and the fillet wasn’t very good. First time was super salty second time ordered medium well and was pretty much rare. Hate sending food back so just ate around edges.
The Foundation Room has become a "go to" restaurant for me when in Vegas. I'll always make sure my schedule will fit TFR into the dining rota for the trip. The combination of the club ambiance and the views from both the dining room (request a window table) and the veranda outside of the bar / night club make for a memorable evening. I've always used OT to make my reservations for TFR and there has never been an issue gaining entrance to this private club. Cheers!
Food was good but a little overpriced. Great view. Service was 7/10.
Very happy with the staff at the Foundation Room for my Business Dinner. I need to change this reservation several time to accommodate addition to the dinner. The food atmosphere and service was excellent. I will be back.
Little dark but excellent food
Nice place , Not great. The bar area is nice with a great view of the strip. The food was good not great.
I had been there before and was looking forward to taking my wife and another couple who had only been to LV once. It did not disappoint. Great, unique atmosphere and wonderful food. We really received the VIP treatment.
Charcuterie, Scallops, Lobster, crab cakes and halibut were all cooked perfect and delicious. Service was spot on as well. Looking forward to our next visit.
Low lights, great view, roomy bar-something straight out of the casbah/unique atmosphere. Great food and staff!
Great service, a little disappointed that the pork belly wasn't available, but was impressed that the chef wouldn't serve it since it didn't meet his standards. Good excuse to come back to try it next time!
Enjoyed our Girls’ Trip! Very impressive. Great view!
Place was beautiful !! Food was -a little disappointing , halibut was dry and cold... nice wine list.. service was great!!
The staff at both the bar and restraunt were outstanding and friendly. The food and the recommended pairings were spot on. If there was any downside I would question is that was informed in my reservation conformation call, the dress was business casual. However as evening picked up men in shorts and baseball hats were let in. It gave a confused vibe the DJ was energetic liked the feathered head dress the dancer wore an old school Vegas flashback. So the only down was the collage frat guys, who looked and acted the part.
Arrived for our reservation early but the would not seat us until our reservation time. The view was amazing and the bar area was a great atmosphere. The food was equally amazing, but the service was a little slow. They were busy due to Valentines Day, but when you are expecting top notch service the special day should not matter. I definitely would dine there again.
Very nice, but very expensive. Love the view, but probably wont return.....
Once you get out of the cramped elevator, past the incense smell and all the club goers, our initial experience was great! Quiet dining room with an amazing view, but everything went down hill from there. Our server was quick to offer drinks and take our order, but then we didn’t see him again until we complained and asked for water refills. Our table had wedge salads which were horrible. One piece of bacon and a few blue cheese crumbles over a chunk of iceberg that wasn’t even properly washed or de-cored, vinegar dressing and no tomatoes. Just awful. We ordered a porterhouse, 2 filets and a ribeye. All 4 steaks were cooked correctly, but were charred on the outside and lacked flavor, not steakhouse or Vegas buffet quality for that matter. The asparagus were huge (like tree trunks) and were very undercooked. The truffle Mac and cheese was very good and they did manage to not screw up the sautéed mushrooms. We flagged down a random server and requested our check. 18 minutes later our server brought out a stale tasting chocolate cake with a candle in it (no clue why as it was nobody’s birthday) 12 minutes later we finally paid our bill.
Of all the places I have been in Vegas, this was the worst. Horrible service and unimpressive food.
Ok service.... They must pay more attention to the food and drinks being served to ensure there isn’t anything foreign in them before it arrives to the table.
I was disappointed. I’d been several years ago and loved it. The salmon was bland. The Chardonnay and tempura coliflour was excellent. Service was just ok. He really didn’t earn an over $60 tip, but he didn’t do anything bad either. He didn’t tell us the special and I overheard him telling another table...maybe I would have done better with lobster. If the comedy had been good at the show I could have felt like it was all worth it. Only one guy was funny and it wasn’t the headliner who was clearly bitter over the political climate. A handful of customers were ‘roasted’ over and over again...It got old.
So happy with every aspect of the Foundation room. The view was breath taking, staff was friendly and made great recommendations for our party of 4.
Amazing view and food/service. A must do in Vegas
Completely unseasoned filet mignon, and was also raw. When sent back, it was still very undercooked. Had consistency of hamburger. Worst scallops i’ve ever had.
To be fair, wait staff was friendly and courteous. Nice looking restaurant with great view, but that doesn’t make the food taste good. For 200 dollars, you expect more.
I was there earlier since I was going to catch up my flight. I asked the receptionist if she could let me in earlier since I needed to catch up flight, she told me there were not any tables available. She took me in after I waited for half hour and there were many empty tables, the restaurant was less than half full. There were many tables still empty when I done my dinner.
This was our second visit and this time pre-concert menu. Everyone in our group felt that they were pampered and enjoyed the taste and presentation of the food. We loved the view, the staff was very attentive and the ambiance is amazing. An eclectic flair of elegance surrounds you.
It was my husbands birthday, and I wanted somewhere special. This place delivered. The food was delicious with generous portions, the service was phenomenal, and the ambience was unique, quiet, and warm.
Incredible views, great ambiance, excellent food and service. Expensive, but well worth it.
Beautiful view and large outdoor area. Comfortable interior and excellent food.
Reasonable wine bottles are on the menu.
Favorite restaurant in Las Vegas. I'm always well taken care of. I have yet to find a dish I don't like.
Great place and great food!
Celebrated News Years Eve’s Eve for Dinner. Was staying at the Mandalay Bay And was convenient to locate. We were treated special from the check in and with our reservation of requesting a scent free window table we received exactly what was requested. Costly but worth the whole experience. Was offered to drink out cocktail outside on the terrace while we waited for our meal. The view was spectacular.
The Foundation Room is always a special restaurant. The view is outstanding, and the food is great. They always deliver great food and great service.
Amazing lobster risotto. Simply the best!
One of my favorites in Vegas due to the exceptional ambience of the room and view off the deck of the bar. The food is always great and the service even better. Although pricey, it's a great place for a special occasion.
We were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary and sort of stumbled on to Foundation Room through reviews. It is not particularly easy to find, even when you're already in the Mandalay Bay, but it is certainly worth the look! It was too windy to spend much time out on their huge porch overlooking the city, but our window seat provided a nice view of the Vegas lights. The atmosphere in warm and "clubby" meaning rich, subdued colors and lighting. Very elegant but not at all stuffy. Now for the service. From our welcoming both at the ground floor elevator to the maître d at the restaurant to our excellent waiter, David, we could not have asked for more. David took his time chatting with us, made excellent food and wine recommendations, and offered some interesting info about Las Vegas in response to our questions. By the way, there was a big Christmas party going on in the bar (we had been warned about it at the elevator) but we were seated in the dining room and heard nothing at all - very nice. The food was fabulous. I had the Chilean seabass while my wife enjoyed a salad and their "not to miss" macaroni and cheese side. Portions are VERY generous, and David did offer to split some of the entres which he realized would be more than we were comfortable with. We finished with a great desert, compliments of the house because of our anniversary. In closing and in comparison, we also ate at another extremely popular/famous restaurant right on the strip across from Belagios. The Foundation Room beat it on quality of food and value, equaled it on service. Do try Foundation Room and be sure to allow time to enjoy. Works well, by the way if you're seeing "Blue Man Group."
Outstanding professional service, food, and breathtaking atmosphere. Can not wait to get back!
The service and view were spectacular. The fish was way over cooked.
Our favorite place for a nice meal and relax time in the lounge. We always get personal attention and great service here. The food is fantastic.
Very polite and knowledgeable staff with good food. The seafood dishes were very fresh and delicious. Nice wine selection. Views are outstanding!
