Everything was amazing . Server Katie was the best ; try the scallops , so good ! Can’t wait to go back !
Great ambiance, drinks, bartenders. Will definitely be going back. Kyle is a gem!
We had a reservation for over a month. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted in the HOB and sent up to the Foundation Room. We were asked if a high top in the bar was ok (even though there were plenty of wide open tables) - we said yes, but that was not knowing that a group of about 20 people would be arriving and taking up the sofas located right next to us. Needless to say our table was knocked into several times, by people tripping over bags in the isle or getting around the large group - not off to a good start. We ordered 2 appetizers and drinks. Waited 30 minutes for the first appetizer to arrive. Our other appetizer was the tacos - our server told us she was sorry but they ran out of pita (it was 5:30 res) and had to run out to buy some. I am getting figitty now. But she kept wanting to serve us more drinks - of course at $15 - $20/drink! call me cheap, but the wine wasn't even that good, especially at $18/glass. Of course the cheaper one we asked for - you guessed it - they were out of it. My cucumber cocktail was delightful - best part of the evening. Now for the food - meatballs over ricotta with red sauce and toast - not bad, but by the time we got them, they were cold - not good. We could have used a few more pieces of toast, but at this point with the big group it was hard to get the servers attention. The tacos finally arrived and they were luke warm at best, but tasty - only thing was they kept coming back on me all night. I'm sure the people next to us wanted to die. All in all it was not the pre-concert experience I was hoping for, especially since we don't get to go down to the city that often.
Absolutely incredible food. The wings are the best ever. The atmosphere is tru
The food was expensive and not good. No one liked what they ordered.
Hmm how to say... not what I expected. Maybe more fitting for men.
This experience was very disappointing considering. It took over an hour to get our food even though we were one of the only people in the Foundation room at the time. Once served, two of our entrees were missing. We ended up having to wait an additional twenty minutes to see our entrees arrive. All in all, it was quite a disappointing experience.
the comedians were hilarious! food & drinks were great! Overall good time.
I made reservations at the Foundation Room at House of Blues. Upon arrival I was informed that to was closed. So we at at their normal restaurant. Food and service was poor.
Over all great. It took a long time to get the food.
I made reservation for four . They called to confirm. I requested the booths as i have done before. When we arrived at 6:45 they put us by the bar in high top table. I’m disabled and can’t sit in those high top tables . It was plenty of floor tables and two booth empty when we arrived. I spoke with the promoter and the manager they said that we had to sit by the door at the high top table . We couldn’t see the comedy show . It was terrible she didn’t try to accommodate us AT ALL . It’s my birthday month month I made reservations and had planned on going every Tuesday I live two blocks away I had became a regular on Tuesday nights . I’m Very disappointed !!
Fun, eclectic atmosphere
Since I’m an out of towner...this place has been on my to do list for a couple years now. Now I’m wishing I woulda made the stop much sooner...seriously a great experience and I wanna thank the servers and staff for making it such a nice experience. Food and cocktails were literally outta this world delicious. Every one of our party of 4 all agreed food item was one of if not the best we ever had, from from the steak to the French fries. Lots to experience here
Nothing was disappointing....and I genuinely mean that. Thank you all...you come with my highest recommendation.
What a jewel! Had never been before or even heard of this exclusive room in the House of Blues. The food was delicious, drinks were strong and service was nothing short of amazing and attentive. It's very chic and private...made us feel very special. The room transformed into a nightclub right before our eyes at10pm. Food, drinks, table service, live DJ, great music, dancing all in one. We felt like rock stars. It was like being at a resort in Chicago. Can't wait to return!
Private members only
Great food and service!
Nice venue but music in foundation room was too loud to hear others speaking. We had to move to a private room to enjoy our dinner and conversation
The service was disappointing for a Chicago restaurant. We ordered a tommahawk 32oz steak for two. They brought it to the table and left it to us to cut it up. It was not busy, but we didn't see the server as often as we should have. The feel I got was that they were more about the ambience in the restaurant (decor, music, etc.) than ensuring patrons had a great dining experience. I wanted to like it alot more than I did.
Food was delicious. Waited a little long for drinks and food for it to only be a few people up there but when it came it was delicious. We had vip tickets to the 9:00 show and the GM Ryan was awesome at getting us what we needed and personally walked us to our seats. It was a great experience!!!
Absolutely stunning interiors and decor
Service was little slow but dint bothered us .
All in all worth to visit
Extremely overpriced for average food!! $105 for a supposed 32oz. tomahawk steak for two that was very fatty with barely enough meat for one person. Manager was completely unhelpful! Don’t bother to eat here, there are so many better places to eat in Chicago!!
Hi there, We're so sorry to hear this. Our General Manager would like to speak with you further regarding your experience and formally apologize for this. Please send us a message with your phone number and we will be in touch right away. Thank you- Team HOB
Looking for some very cool decor!! House of Blues is your place! My two friends and I went on a Tuesday night for dinner & comedy show! We had a blast! The grilled cheese with granny smith apples sounds sooo weird but it was extremely good!
In town from Atlanta to celebrate my birthday..really enjoyed everything!!
The South City Collective were fantastic. Will be back to see them again.
Good eats surrounded by the rocknroll/blues/outsider art we've come to expect. We were here on a K-Pop night so there weren't adults flooding the exclusive rooms of the Foundation House. If you're going to see a concert here or at The Chicago Theater with a group of folks 8-20, this place is superb for quick, well-prepared finger eats (or expensive plates.) Great service.
We celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary and could not have been happier with our evening. We were greeted with champagne upon arrival and the service level for the entire evening was superb. I had a bourbon mule which was delish and one of the best I have ever had. The food was amazing...the filet was cut with a butter knife and the salmon was cooked perfectly and the size of the piece was huge! Then complementary dessert to top it off. Thanks Gary and the entire staff for making our night very memorable.
Large portions so be prepared. Cauliflower appetizer is excellent. Good cocktails... only problem was the gatekeepers had no idea where we were going. A concert was happening at 9 we had dinner reservations at 8 and they just put us in the concert venue.
A greater concern was that to leave the dining room you COULD NOT use the steps...walked down a level to exit and could not continue. A security person said you had to go to the 4th floor to access the elevator (up 2 more floors) to get to the ground... in case of fire what happens ? ridiculous... will not return until there is a devoted exit
The bao buns and cauliflower tempura are amazing! A must try. The foundation room is great with its swanky feel and great rock and roll playing in the background as you hang out and enjoy. Highly recommend trying!
We were treated so politely by everyone we encountered throughout the evening. The concierge, Ken Burroughs was extremely hospitable and the bartender/server, Neil provided us with very attentive service.
This is type of experience is the standard for which other establishments should follow.
Pretty eclectic, pretty cool. Ordered the Thai curry and roasted chicken. Curry should of used the typical coconut milk, instead had a lot of clear broth. Had the Korean Bao buns and they were non-remarkable. Food only a C+ but the service, ambiance and restaurant easily grade A. Would definitely recommend to friends.
Wow płace with VIp treatment !
Service was terrible, it took forever to get anyone to greet us and then had to get up to get attention to get service. We were there for a laid back evening but made it clear that we intended to get to a show in an hour and a half but still hadn't had our order an hour and a half later. Loud, drunk obnoxious people all around us. Not a good impression.
Absolutely phenomenal! Food was fabulous, terrific portions, and superb service!
It was too upscale for me. I thought the reservation I made was for the live music side of the house, but I was up stairs for the more classy side.
