   My wife and I went on our anniversary, had a great experience. We happened to sit at a table in the main dining room, which has a great overview of the corner of Davis & Orrington as the sun was going down. LeTour plays soft French music so we could hear each other talk. Our server "Ben" was friendly and attentive. Food: My wife had the "Sunday Supper," a three-course meal. She is a vegetarian, enjoyed her selections. I started with the Morrocan eggplant -- very flavorful. Then the mussels: At most places they are tiny but these were twice as large as others I've gotten in the area. They were cooked in a rich, spicy wine sauce -- so much I had enough to take home. Then the dessert, a truly unique butterscotch/graham cracker pudding-like concoction that was superb. After dessert, Ben brought out 2 small glasses of wine with a sparkler (when was the last time you saw one of THOSE???) to acknowledge our anniversary. We'll be back.

   The service was great: we were a table of 7 and they were great about picking up all the finished/empty dishes. The waitress was very attentive and the busboys were as well.

   LeTour is a wonderful quintessential Evanston restaurant. Their Sunday suppers are delightful, the outdoor covered patio is so very pleasant, and inside it's one of the few restaurants where you can have hear your dining friends and enjoy a spacious and beautiful environment. The food is wonderful, season, beautifully presented and there's always something unique, in addition to an interesting selection of cocktails. It's our hands down favorite!

   A superb dining experience. The food was the best we've had in a long time, especially for Evanston. The outdoor patio is lovely. Amy was an outstanding host. We changed our table twice to get away from the sun and a large noisy group of patrons--always the changes were well-received by the wait staff.

   This was one of the more disappointing dining experiences I've had in a while. I had been meaning to try this restaurant for quite some time, but alas I won't be returning. While the atmosphere is nice and staff friendly too, 2 out of our party of 3 were highly disappointed with our entree which was apparently due to a new sous-chef. The service also deteriorated after we had communicated our unhappiness. Ultimately, no efforts were made to make up for this faux pas and I mostly wasted $160.

   Sat on the pretty patio for dinner last night. Lovely atmosphere as the sun set. Would love it if they added some candles on each table to add some light as it gets dark. The purple party lights above don’t cut it. We ordered live pate which is always yummy, but would like a better cut of bread to eat it. A grilled clump of bread?? Odd! The mussels were spicy but didn’t have the same great flavor they’ve had on previous visits. The trout was good with a nice sauce but cranberry beans were too Al dente. A side of roasted carrots were too greasy and boring with no garnish or flavor. Pay attention to detail, folks. Just because you’ve been open for a while doesn’t mean you start getting lazy in the kitchen.

    The experience had at LeTour was made better by being able to sit on their outdoor patio. The tables were spaced nicely allowing the wait staff to freely move around the tables. Dinner was served at a leisurely paced without much delay between courses. I had the steak frites and my husband and daughter had the lamb couscous tangine. The beet salad and pate were delicious appetizers. The pate was served with only one piece of bread, which was not sufficient to finish the pate. The cherry dessert was delicious. Our waiter was Dylan and he was superb. It was a really nice experience. Will return.
