Shrimp In Garlic Sauce & Mussels Marinera Sauce
sauce of your choice: garlic sauce, green sauce or spicy tomato sauce
Delicious paella and terrific service. We had a great night.
Worth the drive. Huge menu great sangria free salad and great cooking
The atmosphere was very nice, the food was excellent and they gave you nice portions. I would recommend Fornos of Spain to anyone.
An old favorite. TBH, this time I drifted away from ordering the tried and true (any of the paellas, mariscada, shrimp in garlic sauce, etc.) and ordered some unusual items which I didn’t love as much. Don’t get cowed by the prices (which are just short of high) — the size of each dish is HUGE. Each appetizer can easily be shared by two, three, maybe even four people and I can’t imagine any situation where you wouldn’t be taking home some portion of your entree. Maybe that’s because you’ll fill up first on the (free) spicy olives, the perfectly seasoned green salad and bread. The staff was very patient and accommodating. A real plus — free valet parking in a parking-challenged area.
Old school place. Menu online is extensive and pricey. Wasn't expecting too much but reviews were good. Was very pleasantly surprised. Food was all outstanding, pretty much everything we had. Service was very good. At the end when I got the bill, I thought it was worth it. Would go back with friends or family for a nice evening out that is a great alternative to your standard steak house.
this is now my #1 favorite Spanish Restaurant in the tri-state area. Amazing menu, large portions and great flavors. The complimentary salad and olives are a great start. Valet parking makes a difference too. I would drive an hour out of my way to go back again.
the freshest and largest calamari I've ever seen and Serge really looked after me and my son, and was very kind to him
The grilled calimari and clams in green sauce were excellent appetizers. The calimari had a delicious smoky flavor. The seafood chowder was ample and delicious and the New England clam chowder was rich. We shared a paella del mar. (I asked them to throw in some chorizo, which they did.) The rice was perfectly cooked and the various kinds of seafood (i.e. clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops, tuna) were fresh. We've eaten here many times over the past 15 years. This was one of the best experiences ever. Service was polite and attentive. Our out of town guests were also surprised at the standard extras: salad, bread (including garlic bread), olives, hand cut potato chips. I can't remember the name of the pastry stick they serve with thick hot chocolate, but that was a nice touch, too.
Great place. We celebrated our anniversary!
The food was delicious.
The food was absolutely perfect. And portion sizes were incredible. Wife had the lobster crepes and I had the black rice (squid ink) with clams , mussels, shrimp, salmon, ….:. And way too much too eat!
Great service and old institution atmosphere.
Great food and great Sangria!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Food was delicious and portions were more than generous.
We loved having bread, salad (with beautiful Jersey tomatoes) and a nice bowl of tasty olives delivered to our table just after we were seated.
As usual For no’s was great. So much food!!!
Food and service was excellent
Last vacation dinner visiting NJ and restaurant was amazing in every way from the moment we arrived until we lest. We loved the attentive service and food was absolutely delicious.
Great servers, attentive. The foods presentation was poor and overcooked.
We didn’t enjoy the meal. Couldn’t eat it. They cut our bill in half.
The food was discarded when we got home, and we won’t be returning.
What can be said about this classic Ironbound institution? I have frequented this restaurant numerous times even though it’s a two hour drive. The food is outstanding and in large portions and the salad, olives and delicious breads they serve gratis are over the top! Large menu will please any picky eater. I cannot say enough about the food and service here. I have been to many Spanish restaurants in the area and this one is the very best…can’t wait to return! Still an outstanding value during this recession! Love Fornos of Spain!
Great food! Great ambiance! Great staff!
The seafood is as excellent and well prepared, not Overcooked. Ambiance was lively and it made a great place to have a gathering. More food than you can imagine!
Everyone seems to *love* Forno’s except me. I don’t know what it is, maybe because I don’t drink, but I find the atmosphere and food to be average at best. I had the twin lobster tails, and quite frankly, they were dry. I think the best part might be the olives they serve at the beginning of the meal and/or the salad. I’ve been many times, I want to love it like everyone else does, and I just don’t. The service is very good, so I appreciate that.
We travelled from Exit 2 on NJTPK just to satisfy our craving for delicious Portuguese food and Fornos did not disappoint. Our wait service jockeyed and supported the tables to ensure our needs were met. I would recommend.
As always, the food and service were outstanding. The servers were attentive and very accommodating. The food was amazing! I am never disappointed when I dine at Forno’s.
Great portion sizes, amazing sangria, food is absolutely delicious and always consistent. Service is amazing.
Always a treat to go to Fornos.
Good food, good ambiance and excellent service. Very pleased with the selection of food.
This experience at Fornos of Spain has been great! It was our first time there and we are already looking forward to going back again! Great service, excellent food and beautiful place.
As usual the food , the service and the atmosphere was wonderful.
It was fairly crowded and fairly noisy. It was a challenge to hear my table partner.
Food is always fresh and delicious. The cocktails are excellent, I had two great Cosmopolitans. The service is professional and accommodating. One of my favorite restaurants, we’ve been here two times and we’ve had a wonderful time. Looking forward to our next visit.
A Wonderful night with friends from Florida, their first time at Fornos and very impressed with the food. Dining room was a little loud but good energy and good service. As always a pitcher of great Sangria to start the night.
This was my first visit to Forno’s. The service, and food was great. Proportions were generous.
Food and service are great. Noise level is a little high, but would highly recommend it to anyone.
Celebrated a birthday here with a party of five and I can’t say anything more but the food was exceptional, customer service was excellent, and overall we had a super time. Very convenient they have their own parking right in the back of the restaurant!
Excellent service, very attentive. The food selection outstanding and everything we had was very good! Right down to dessert. The red sangria was perfect, not to sweet.
The food and the service were impeccable. Thank you so much for the outstanding meal and the delicious but unexpected surprise dessert at the end. I am so thankful for the many many memorable moments in my life that I have spent in that restaurant! Love you all and please don't ever change !!
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary; the food was good and the service too.
Great was usual.
Delicious food, old school fancy atmosphere, make a reservation.
Great service! Large portion size.
Fantastic food! The best Sangria! And of course impeccable service!
