                                                                                                                    This was my first time at Forno, so I was excited because I had heard good things. The hosts were extremely nice and were able to get us seated immediately although we were 10 minutes early for our reservation. I started off with some cocktails and the spiked strawberries. The brunch cocktails were good, but not great. The espresso martini tasted like one of the Starbucks mocha drinks so that was different (where’s the vodka??) and the glass they put it in makes it awkward to drink. The spiked strawberries were kind of disappointing and were kind of melting by the time they got to our table. The appetizers were nice, I had the calamari and the crispy rice. They were great portion sizes which made it nice to share. The big let down was the pizza mainly because it took FOREVER to come out. We were waiting and waiting and ended up telling the server we never received it. Turns out our pizza was taken to another table. We waited some more and finally received it and it was just okay. It wasn’t totally worth the wait in my opinion. It was also disappointing to see another couple get their appetizer, drinks and main entree and finish by the time we finally received our pizza when we had been sitting there way longer than them. It wasn’t the servers fault because they have food runners but if he would’ve asked how the pizza was or our meals he would’ve found out sooner that we never got it. Despite that hiccup he was nice. Forno was cool, but there wasn’t anything I had during service to really bring me back.
