Great ambience and very good food, well presented! Nice place to meet up with friends!
Extremely tight dining room, we were not very comfortable at all.
Our coats were checked and we were seated immediately. The service and the food were excellent. We had not been there for a few years and it was a pleasant surprise. We plan to return real soon.
I love Forno, it’s always great.
Amazing looking and tasting food. The guys behind the bar do an amazing job with the drinks they mix/pour and make you feel very welcome even if your just waiting for your table to open up! The wait staff does a great job of making you feel special even if they have a bunch of other tables. Its a little loud but totally worth it with the amazing food your served. O and they are great singers!
The food was outstanding. The service was above average. The waitress was genuinely friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. My boyfriend had the lasagna . He considers himself a meatball connoisseur. Since there were no meatballs with he lasagna, he asked if he could try one. While it was not a usual request, they very nicely brought one to him. He voted it very good.
Food and atmosphere was good but noise level high and tables too close together. A waitress walked by and apologized to my husband for bumping into him but never mentioned she had spilled sauce all down his pant leg. We didn’t notice it until we got home.
Great food and even better service. Will come again.
Calamari was tough and very salty - really not very good. Entrees were decent but they didn't "wow" us. Ambiance and location is very nice and our server was very good. Pretty stingy pour on the glass of wine. It just seemed that the food/value was a notch below the atmosphere and service. If we were to go back it would be to sit in the bar area and have a pizza, but we probably won't return for the dinner entrees.
Great service and cozy atmosphere. Pizza and salad were very tasty.
This is one of our favorite places to dine - I love the new casual environment - the staff is always amazing. Great for a quick bite at the bar or a dinner.
I love their Eggplant Parmesan - everything is fresh and farm to table.
Summer thru Fall they have outdoor seating also
If you're in Saratoga this is a must
Food was delicious.. frutti de mare, stuffed eggplant appetizer was great! Love the exposed wood, mood lighting with candles and little white lights and old iron machine parts .. romantic, lively... fun
The service was excellent ! And the food is always delicious ! Their salads are very plentiful and tasteful ! I always recommend Forno to family and friends!
We had a wonderful dinner at Forno Bistro. The food was delicious and large portions. I had a candy cane cosimo that was yummy!!
We returned the first course, fried calamari, because it was rubbery, greasy and undercooked. They did take it off our bill.
My husband’s main course, steak was perfect but overpriced ($36). My main course, chicken with a little cheese and ham was over cooked and dry,
We were disappointed and won’t be returning.
I wonder if there’s a new chef.
A great time for dinner with good friends. Specials we're creative and well prepared as always. As with restaurants where served regular capuccino is weak. Don't chintz in the espresso, it's what makes the drink.
We almost always recommend Forno Bistro as our first choice for a restaurant in Saratoga. There are several reasons. We know we can count on excellent food with a great selection, excellent service from attentive experienced wait staff accommodating special diet requests pretty lively atmosphere outdoor comfortable seating with pretty setting.
Our only concern is that because it is always so popular, when we want a very quiet dining place we may hesitate to go there but they try to find us the quietest area and since everything else is so outstanding we highly recommend Forno Bistro and love going there.
We loved it here. Sat at the bar before dinner and had fried calamari. Delicious. The servers were great and the food did not disappoint.
It was cold in there!
Excellent food and great service. Everyone was very personable and accommodating.
Always love this restaurant-consistently going d food and service
Wait staff was attentive however, I asked for some balsamic vinegar to go with the olive oil for my bread but it did not come. I had to ask twice to get it. No big deal but shouldn't have had to asked twice. Otherwise, everything was good.
The food and service were good, but pretty close quarters. Not a bad thing, just not what I was expecting In the ambience department.
The restaurant has a nice ambiance and great service. The food is your standard over-sized Italian fare. They aren't going for quality in meals but rather quantity. So if you are looking for free range chicken, local vegetables or organic options - you won't find them here. If you are looking for a large portion of standard Italian food - pasta, chicken, pizza- then this is a great restaurant for you. The noise levels in the restaurant are rather high. So, if you are hoping to have an intimate meal with good conversation - I would not recommend this restaurant. If you enjoy having a drink at the bar and socializing with people around you - then this would be a good place for you to go.
Always a wonderful experience when we go to here. Our server, Steve, was great.
Slower than normal service. It was busy though as it was restaurant week. Food was excellent as always.
We (4 in our party) went for Saratoga Restaurant week and it was a good experience. Luckily, we had an early reservation (5:30pm) so we had a table near the windows and had plenty of room. As the night wore on, the tables near the bar became full and it was very difficult to move between tables. The food was excellent and the portions/prices were fair for a 'restaurant week menu'.
Just didn’t cut it. Food was meh. Ambiance - crowded and very very noisy.
Loved the people I was with but not this restaurant.
Saratoga has so many other and better choices.
We had a fabulous time...thank you!!
Excellent service...awesome food!
The hostess did not honor our reservation at the requested time indicating that their records showed that it was for 1.5 hours later. Even after showing her the OpenTable confirmation, we were made to wait for at least 30 minutes for a table without any accommodations to make up for it.
Excellent food and service. Always consistent. One of Broadways best.
Cheerful, great food, excellent service. A bit noisy for real conversation, and kind of crowded, but We'd all go back and recommend it to others.
Food and service were excellent.
Our server Jesica was amazing! The food & wine selection was everything we wanted it to be. We’ll definitely go back!
Great! We go to this place every time we have the chance to be in Saratoga Springs. The service is amazing. Love, love, love the food!
We met friends for an overdue anniversary dinner. We arrived early and asked the hostess if we could have a drink at the bar before being seated and she accommodated us. It was happy hour so the bar was busy but we found seats and enjoyed a drink before being seated. Bar tenders were a bit slow at providing a bill before being seated. We sat along a window in a slowly filling room and ordered drinks and eventually dinner. Food was delicious, service was good but as we completed our meal our server was drawn to a new very large/noisy party and we were somewhat forgotten. We flagged another server down and ordered dessert. Our original server returned later with the bill. Overall the evening was fun and delicious but service was a bit off kilter.
We made a reservation for 6 people and were jammed into a table meant for 4 people. The food was OK not great. It was not a comfortable, pleasant experience for 6 adults who were expecting to enjoy good food and pleasant conversation for our annual visit together.
Overpriced Italian food. Dishes were cold. Would never return.
Admittedly we expected to have just an okay meal. We arrived early and the restaurant was jam packed with no seats to wait or at the bar. The bartender was extremely attentive and saw we were standing in the back and came out to meet us with a wine list. He let me sample a wine (which I didn't care for), then I explained what my wife and I generally look for in a wine. He made a suggestion and it was terrific. We were seated shortly after our other guests arrived and the woman who was our server was extremely attentive to our needs and questions. Her descriptions of the food were spot on. When she came to check on us, my wife expressed that her lamb was not cooked to the specifications she requested. The server immediately agreed and took it back to be cooked a little longer. All of our meals were very, very good and the desserts we split were as well. It is a little crowded an noisy; however, the food exceeded all of our expectations and the server was one of the best any of us had experienced (and we've been to quite a number of restaurants in our lifetime).
Love going here. The only disappointment was my caprese. The heirloom tomatoes were not ripe enough.
