Forcella Park Ave - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
I ate a wonderful pizza at Forcella park avenue, the pizza is very similar to the real Neapolitan one! I found the place a little bit expensive. I didn't like the service because they literally rushed us and took off my plate while I was still eating my last slice of pizza! The pizza was very good so if you miss Neapolitan pizza I definitely will recommend Forcella park ave!
We had lots of family visiting and needed a last minute reservation to accommodate 14 people on a Saturday night. We had drinks at the bar first, and the staff was flexible with when we needed to move to our table. The service once we got to the table was mediocre. They did not seem very attentive to drink refills and checking in to see how everything was. We also had an air conditioner blowing on us, and we asked that it be turned down. They didn't adjust.
Let's talk about the food. The pizza here is delicious. Everyone who had that was impressed. Everything else is just ok. We shared some apps - salads, fried calamari, risotto balls and antipasto platter - very underwhelming. Entrees are fine - but would highly recommend coming for very tasty pizza.
I've been here with large and small parties, lunch and dinner. The Delicious Sandwich and the Salmon sandwich are quite tasty. Pizza is done just the way I like it...perfect! Homemade pasta actually tastes like it is made on premises -- very fresh. Service is outstanding! I will be back.
Friendly service, poor food. Ordered calamari fritti which seemingly was all batter and no calamari. The "Kobe beef" burger I ordered medium rare and was served well done, and tasted on par or even subpar with a typical McDonalds burger. Perhaps their Italian dishes are better.
They have combined two of my favorite things, brunch and pizza, and it is delicious! There were four brunch pizzas to choose from, all different enough to make it hard to choose. My friend and I each got a a different one and split them. Sooo good! We will be back. As for atmosphere, it's a weird look and feel for brunch--kind of a goth/steampunk/nightclub decor. But who cares...brunch pizza! And really great service, too.
Forcella had a nice, lively atmosphere. Plenty of seating and very cozy. We ordered two pizzas a Margeritha and Salame Piccante. The sauce on both was pretty bland, the the Salame masked it a bit. Maybe this is how it should be? I'm not sure, but I was expecting a more flavorful pizza.
Warm inviting space with huge ceilings. Sat at the bar counter and watched the action. The risotto balls were crispy, hot and delicious, with a delicious cheese inside. The fungi pizza was also nice, CACIO e PEPE to die for:). Service was quick and efficient.Good looking bartenders
I took my in-laws here and while the food was great and the service was good, it was definitely way too loud for a Saturday at 2:00. The owner was fantastic though, and accommodated us when the staff misplaced an order. I would definitely go back, just with friends next time.
We had a group of 16 and they seated us in a nice area above the main floor. The waiter was nice and our water was kept filled. That was about it. There was no bread basket or anything in the beginning, which wasn't so big a deal. But the order was messed up where two meals came after everyone else has already eaten. There was no apology that the orders were screwed up. When the bill came extra orders were added, numbers didn't add up (ex. Two orders that were each $17 were added together to be $38 on the bill. 17 +17 = 34.) and we had to revise the bill 3 times as each time something was wrong. The food when it arrived was good but the rest of the service really let our experience down.
The food was great, but nothing over the top. The salad, pizza, and bread were good choices that I'd recommend. The service started out okay, but towards the end of our visit started to fall off. It wasn't crowded, so I'm not sure what the problem was. I'm not in a hurry to get back as there are plenty other restaurants I want to try first.
