Extremely Cozy, food was very good could not complain at all.
The owner was our server and was very In tentative.
Excellent food. Wonderful service :)
The chef at Forchella is absolutely fantastic. It doesn't matter what it is, she makes all the food with technical (and delicious!) perfection.
The restaurant is small so there are very few other people. If you are worried about covid safety, find people you want to eat with and book the whole place!
Forcella was a wonderful choice for our first night back out at a restaurant.
We had a fabulous time with our friends. The food was outstanding and the owners were the friendliest and attentive ever!! This is going to be our new “go to spot” for intimate dining and celebrations!!
First time ever going. Excellent food and service!! Very small and intimate. They really care about their customers and it shows. I love this place!! Definitely going back!!
Husband & wife team made our dinner experience very enjoyable.
Four of us went to Forcella for dinner last weekend. We had a great time and the food was consistently excellent. The owners/chef were very accommodating and friendly. They went out of their way to make our experience pleasant. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, they were limited to a certain number of patrons and we felt lucky to get a table! They do not have outdoor seating and followed the state restaurant restrictions strictly for indoor dining, which was fine with us. Going to Forcella was a nice experience and we will be back! Don't forget BYOB!
Forcella BYOB is such a gem in Jenkintown. The menu offers 4 courses, and each course offers several choices. We were a table of 5, and each person at our table said they picked the best choice, which is a testament to the the skill of Chef Esther. We also felt very comfortable with how safety for COVID-19 is managed.
It is always a delight to eat at Forcella and see what Esther has come up with for the season's menu. Usually my wife and I like to share, but this time the food was too good so we kept some of it to ourselves. The red pepper spread had so much going on, and I loved the spiced rubbed shrimp.
This was our first time at Forcella. We both had the fixed price dinner and choose different items other than our main course. The food was terrific and beautifully presented. The breads are perfection. Service was attentive but not smothering. We could not have had a more enjoyable evening.
Forcella was incredible! The dining experience was intimate with great service and even better execution from the culinary team! I can’t say enough about the scallop and lobster dish. It was truly special. We were then blown away by the filet mignon dish with the shaved brussel spouts entree. We couldn’t recommend Forcella any more! It is a must try and we can’t wait to get back! Esther and Bruce are absolute rockstars!
We went here for the first time for Valentine’s Day. Food was beautiful and delicious. We weren’t hungry when we left .... the portions were perfect. I would of liked vegetables however to help balance the richness of the food however. Service was great and the chef came out to thank everyone, which was a nice touch. I know others have mentioned it, but a number of people had to leave to tap the ATM..... cash only. Don’t forget the wine too since it is BYOB, someone did and the lady at the table didn’t look too happy.
Cash only is a bummer.
Food was excellent! Hard to have conversations though as it is very quiet and people are sitting directly next to you at the next table.
Small portion, small dining area, sitting next to door distracting and not ideal when cold. I found the value disportion for the amount of food.
An outstanding experience! The food was really superb...from the appetizers to the pasta and the filet. It has to be up there with the best meals I've ever had...ever. We travel all over the world and eat at some of the finest restaurants. I was incredibly impressed with the quality of the dishes we had. We will be returning for sure.
This is a neighborhood gem that can match quality and presentation with any “name” restaurant. The five course prix fixe ($65) menu reflects seasonal ingredients and great variety. A la carte also available but who could resist having the opportunity to try so many special dishes??Chef Esther made thoughtful accommodations for a gluten free diner and made this birthday celebration one we will remember. Bruce knows every detail of each dish so well, he helped us to make great choices. What a team!! Love that we could BYOB.
Love this place! Always a wonderful dining experience!
This very small but very lovely little restaurant served me the absolutely best order of scallops I have ever eaten in my life. And I’ve eaten me some scallops. The only complaint I have is that it is totally inaccessible to people using a wheelchair. But otherwise wonderful.
Forcells BYOB is one of our favorite restaurants, and we are lucky that it is close to home. The food is consistently outstanding, the choices for each course are always creative and delicious, and the menu changes with each season. We also appreciate the attentive service.
We loved Forcella so much our first time there we brought friends this time. Everyone enjoyed their meals and had a great time. It is a very warm (friendly) and intimate spot and the menu is diverse and interesting. Everything was delicious!
Our first time at Forcella. Chef's tasting menu offers a nice selection, unlike at some restaurants, and everything we had was very good. We especially loved the Korean vegetable dumplings, autumn honey pear salad, pesto sacchetti, and the tiramisu which was the best we've ever had. I actually had the pumpkin cheesecake which was also very good but I also ate half my wife's tiramisu as she was full after the previous four courses. We brought some leftovers home and were pleasantly surprised to find another piece of cheesecake included! Service was outstanding. The husband and wife team were very pleasant and spent time talking with us. We usually eat in center city as we often find the service in suburban restaurants less than professional, even at upscale restaurants. Not here! Service and food were superb. I am sorry I have to say the ambience was not on the same level. It's a very small restaurant (which is nice) and the chairs and table settings are nice; however, it desperately needs a makeover. I know owning and operating a small restaurant is an expensive venture but what this room needs would not cost all that much. It desperately needs a fresh coat of paint, and not white but perhaps gray to match the chairs. And the window treatment needs to be redone as the current curtain reminded me of a shower curtain. I was actually shocked when we first walked in, and when I said to my wife that many people on Open Table gave the ambience a 5 her response was "Are you kidding." Yea, I don't understand that either. But we will probably go back (at least when the seasonal menu changes) because we did love the food and service, its being BYOB is a plus, and the $65 tasting menu price is reasonable. We will definitely go back more often if the decor is refreshed. Until that happens, we will not take friends there nor are we able to recommend it to others. By updating the room, the owners could make this one of the very best restaurants in the Philadelphia suburbs.
Fantastic experience. Food was amazing and the waiter was very careful about a food allergy. It was overall a wonderful evening.
A fantastic under recognized gem. This intimate, charming spot is such a wonderful experience in dining. Jenkintown and the area has no finer spot with a pre fixe and a la cartel menu that is outstanding. Ester has the perfect, creative touch in the kitchen.
Food is creative and delicious. BYO and cash only makes eating here reasonable for outstanding dining.
Bruce is the perfect host who makes you feel at home and very special.
Menu varied and is truly exceptional.
We really enjoyed dinner with this unique and creative menu. Food was very good and with beautiful presentation. The appetizers were exceptional. We loved the Korean dumplings, pear salad, and the pumpkin squash soup. You must have dessert!
We were treated to pumpkin cheesecake and the chocolate cake. The couple who own, cook and serve were absolutely delightful and friendly. Service was excellent. Conversation was easy on this quiet week night. BYO and a parking lot behind the restaurant are pluses.
Amazing. The food was delicious, service excellent. It was a bit loud, but that was a big boisterous party of about 10 people drinking Miller lites and celebrating a birthday.
Everything was excellent. Food, atmosphere, service—all just right. Thank you for a great dining experience.
What an amazing place! Went for anniversary and what a great experience. Food was spectacular, service outstanding and the small space creates a very unique atmosphere. Will certainly be back again! It’s cash only at this time, so just be aware of that.
Exceptional food and service. Very quint, quiet and personal vibe. Small so its cozy but feels special. Esther and Bruce are amazing and super down to earth. Loved our night there.
Great meal, interesting flavors and boldly spiced, Esther continues to impress as a chef and Bruce is always a gracious host. We’ve been many times and have always enjoyed our dinners. We’ll be back!
Wonderful tasting menu - very friendly and attentive service. We loved the Autumn menu and will be back.
We are so lucky to have this outstanding restaurant in our neighborhood. Wow! We loved every morsel of food. Dumplings , gnocchi with pesto, lamb udon , pear and goat cheese salad with outstanding dressing, filet mignon, corn chowder. Perfect and warm service. One of our favorite meals ever.
Fantastic food. Waiter was both friendly and attentive, and knew everything about the food on the menu. Chef/owner came out to say hi to everyone and see how we were liking the food (which was incredible). It was our anniversary, so she decorated our desserts and then sent us home with an extra dessert in our doggie bag. Great restaurant. Will definitely be back.
Excellent menu. Every dish was prepared to perfection. Thank you Bruce and Chef Ester❣️
Amazing! Dined with my wife for our anniversary. The corn soup is spectacular. We both got the tasting menu. Every course was fantastic. The market fish and filet were some of the best we've ever had. Service was exceptional. Can't wait to go back.
Beautiful little BYOB. Our 1st time there for date night. Food and service we're top notch. Loved our 1st experience, looking forward to many more. What a gorgeous little restaurant.
Food was delicious -ambiance was amazing however the food portions and price was ridiculous. My 6 year old wouldn’t get fill with the food portion they served us, spend a lot of money close to $200 and still left there hungry and had to go the corner pizzeria for pizza. I was very disappointed with their food portion size. I don’t mind paying if portion is great. I want to leave there full and satisfied, but l wasn’t so for that reasons, l wouldn’t be going back. Forcella is a hidden gem! Amazing house-made pasta and creative, delicious gourmet dishes. The place is cozy with an elegant vibe. Chef Esther cooks with love and creativity! Can’t wait to come back.
Let’s start with wow! The food and the service are awesome. Esther’s passion shines in the food and Bruce focuses on making your experience one-of-a kind. Ester grew up in the area and that makes it even more special of a place to visit. We chose the 5-course Chef’s Tasting, everything is made fresh and it was delicious. Unlike other restaurants, we were not rushed through our dinner. Their passion lies in creating an exceptional experience for their guests. We will be back.
Between 4 of us we had several seafood& pasta entrees and every dish was fresh and delicious.
