Excellent dinner. Prices seem to be creeping up through!
Server was not very friendly and felt like she was rushing us out the door despite only being seated for 80 minutes.
We had dinner at Forage to celebrate our anniversary and were very happy with our choice. The cocktails, food and service were all exceptional. Forage serves its dishes family style and we found the Bison steak, together with a salad and a side of roasted vegetables to be ample for two people. Good selection of BC wines, including a fairly large selection of wines by the glass. Our only criticism is that it was a bit noisy - but we were there on a lively Saturday night and that is to be expected. A great restaurant for celebrating special occasions.
Very limited menu and not everything was worthwhile.
All of the food was so fresh and presented beautifully. Fantastic meal.
Excellent service and as always excellent food, best eggs benny ever
Forage has some of the best training servers in the city. We always enjoy the hospitality as much as the servers enjoy working there.
Great locally sourced food. Wonderful brunches! Suggest booking reservations early for the weekend as the secret is out and you may not get a table.
Anna and team. Always on point with their service
Forage doesn't seem to get the buzz it deserves. Our meal was truly outstanding. In the manner of the concept my wife and I shared dishes and I'm glad as everything was first rate. The sable fish and duck breast were world class dishes.
Delicious local farm-to-table food. Their cocktails are great and I recommend the brussel sprouts and the duck. Lovely for a date or dinner with a friend.
Staff were lovely and so knowledgeable, the ambience was calm and relaxing and the food was exceptional. We enjoyed the experience so much that we returned for breakfast.
Best meal yet at Forage. It’s always good but this time was exceptional. The three of us were seated in a cozy corner and given a most accommodating waiter. She deftly guided us and we were thrilled with the selections. A lovely experience all around.
Es war lecker und total supernett. Der Service war aufmerksam aber etwas ungeschickt (Wasser über die Hose). Und noch ein paar weitere Dinge... aber das tut der Sache keinen Abbruch. Austern: geil. Steak: klassisch. Lecker. Mega.
Traveling solo, so sat at the bar. Peter was great with drink & food recommendations. The duck chowder, tomahawk pork chop, and caramel dessert were all amazing. Not sure when I’ll be back in Vancouver, but would definitely dine here again.
A wonderful curated dining experience. Our server guided us through a voyage of local flavours.
Good food, good experience
We stayed well past 2 pm (their closing time) for my baby shower brunch. And they didn’t say a peep. Didn’t rush us, didn’t rush to bring the bill. Server was very attentive. Food was amazing (obviously). My mother - who is from Toronto- was blown away. Very impressed. Thank you Forage!
Lovely as usual
We very much enjoyed the duck chowder, but the other dishes after fell flat in comparison. In addition our server did not have an in depth knowledge of the food and it felt like they was only trying to persuade us to pick the most expensive item on the menu rather than offer real guidance or opinion.
We were a bit disappointed by the food, we were expecting it to be more tasty and delicious, and we found most of it to be lacking.
Too much going on. Food was not to our liking. Busy and crowded.
Yes! Food was lovely - locally sourced food! Would come back for sure!
We had an incredible dinner at Forage. The combination of fresh flavors was wonderful and amazing combinations of ingredients and textures as well, all presented beautifully. The extensive wine list was impressive and the server's knowledge of the BC wines was great. Our selected wines were wonderful and reasonably priced.
Delicious! The service was fantastic and it was nice to be in an atmosphere where you could hear your table mates speaking without yelling. Refreshing.
Always top class
This is my fourth visit to Forage-once as part of a group at a table and twice alone when I was seated at the bar. This time I booked a week in advance, knowing I would be in town and at the end of a hectic week. I ensured that I had table seating because I wanted to be quiet and alone. When I arrived at the restaurant, the hostess said that a seat at the bar was ready for me. When I mentioned that I had specifically asked for and confirmed a table she poured over the seating plan, sighed and reluctantly led me to a table. I found this upsetting and it put a pall on the next 45 minutes it to order and eat my meal. The rest of the staff were excellent as was the food.
The food and the service was amazing. Highly recommend if you want something fresh and different.
We made reservations but were seated in the worse spot in the restaurant. Our table was between two others, one which was approximately one inch away. We would hear each other’s conversations, which made for an awkward dining experience. The table next to us eventually moved after another desirable table was available. Food was great but ambiance was lacking given seating arrangements.
I have been to this restaurant many times and it was always great. This time it was a very disappointing experience, the food was awful and the prices may have gone up. We were informed by the staff that there is a new chef in the kitchen. I probably will never go back to this restaurant.
Brunch - 1015 on a Saturday. Food here is worth the trip! Service was excellent. My only issue was it was packed and loud. I’m not someone who is looking for the crowd, but I’ll go back for the food. The tables are very close together with a completely open room and between the music and the sheer amount of people in the place it was hard to hear my wife across the table without speaking loud enough to hear us 6 tables away (we heard all the conversations anywhere near us). Again I’ll go back but man does it ever slow down? Cost was not cheap but worth the cost for food. If you don’t mind the crowd it should be your regular place
Such unique, fun, and fresh tasting food. Josh, our server, was really great and helpful. Would go back, no question.
Fabulous food, really inventive and different combinations of ingredients & tastes. Every mouthful was a discovery. Our waitress explained the concept & was attentive, helpful and friendly. One of the best meals we had on our holiday .
Nice setting and friendly staff.Mist of the food-breakfast-was good. Porridge not to my liking and arrived quite cold.
Was exchanged for a very nice granola without any problem. Coffee was cold as well.good eggs and toast.
Great brunch, surprisingly fair price for the quality of food. Nice ambiance
It was great...as always!
The food and service was great! The only negative is that for a restaurant that serves small dishes for a tapas like eating experience you are too crowded to really enjoy the sharing as you have to constantly be moving things around. Circular or larger tables would make sense for the full enjoyment of not just the food but your dinner mates and the atmosphere.
Fantastic seasonal food. Friendly staff and an amazing menu. Great atmosphere too
Thank you so much for all the delightful creations you fire out. truly art. what a wonderful way to enjoy an evening. i would say the best restaurant i have eaten at in vancouver.
Food was phenomenal and service was excellent. Best recommendation anyone can give is that we made a reservation for two nights later...our last night in town.
