Overall ambience was pleasant and the service was great. My husband and I really wanted to love this place because it's so close to our home and we loved the concept of organic, locally source food. BUT, the most of the food fell short of what we expected. We opted for 5 small plates in order to try out the different menu items. Smoked salmon: great flavors but potato pancake could have been bigger. Ahi Tuna Crudo: again great flavors, tuna was a little gristly. Baby Fennel and orange salad: nice flavors, orange slices were very tough. In all fairness, they did try to redo dish but we declined and they took it off our bill. Caesar Steak rolls: Beautiful presentation, lettuce was tough after it was wilted, flavor was just ok. Crispy Pork Belly with wild mushroom hash: Pork belly was very dry, wild mushrooms could have been sliced smaller (a little tough when presented in large pieces), nice hash (could have used this with the smoked salmon). Would have loved to return to try the mussels but I don't think we'll be back.
Wonderful restaurant in quiet neighborhood. The atmosphere is low-key and comfortable. Our service was excellent and well timed. Our food was absolutely delicious! My Husband had at the lamb chops. They were perfectly cooked and presented with a mound of delicious vegetables All beautifully presented on a cutting board.
My duck on top of brussels sprouts layered over a Cauliflower mash was wonderful. I particularly loved the cauliflour mash and would eat Cauliflour every day if it was like that. My daughter had a simple burger that was also excellent with house made french fries. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would love to come back again… And again… And again
We ate there for a mid-week dinner. Their menu choices were excellent and were superbly prepared and presented. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant and quiet without being pretentious. We'll be back.
Went for restaurant week on a terrible snowy night but worth
the drive. We loved the food it was
superior. The rack of lamb was the best I have had. Pear salad was so yummy. The service was excellent.
Casual ambiance with 5 star
good. We will become a regulars now!
Victoria was an excellent waitress, the food was very good and the presentation was exceptional.
Exceeded my expectations- fantastic food and lovely atmosphere! Had the scallops and hash- -- perfection.
Restaurant week menu not anything to rave about.
My boyfriend and I went for Denver restaurant week. Every dish that we had was outstanding. I ate the lamb and curry sweet potatoes - danced through the entire meal. Its a very quite place, which is nice but also makes you think twice before telling a funny story. Great place for a calm, delicious evening. Hope to go back soon.
Thank you meal for our party.
Food was really good but service was rushed to the point of rude. The waitress insisted on clearing a plate if one person was done eating even if the rest of our party was still eating, which of course they were.
Met a friend for dinner and had forgotten it was the start of Denver Restaurant Week. Options were great. A lot of food! Smoked mushrooms with lemon ricotta to start. Short rib over pasta with peas and mint was yummy & berry pavlova was perfect! Snow coming down with almost 6 inches accumulation in 3 hours but my friend and I enjoyed coffee and shared a second dessert of Mocha Chocolate Pot de Creme. Yummy and enjoyable evening for sure! Looking forward to going back to try other things on the regular menu.
Never been disappointed. Limited menu, but every item we've tried has been delicious and well presented. Hidden gem in the neighborhood.
We chose Fooducopia for the healthy looking menu. Unfortunately we found the food to be either too salty or greasy. Great concept on the menu items but we both felt they fell short on the execution.
Love eating local! This place is delicious. The staff is attentive, the menu is creative, and the value is spot-on. Can’t wait to go back!
This is our favorite neighborhood gem to grab a bite-breakfast, lunch and dinner are all DELICIOUS! Such a great place!!
Fooducopia is the perfect local, hole in the wall with FRESH and intentional food. I love this place and the ambiance and everyone who works there. This is a perfect romantic and intimate date spot.
We agree with supporters who think this is a quiet, friendly neighborhood gem with good, locally-sourced food. It is.
We also agree with detractors who think the timing/pacing can be off, even during quiet periods. It can.
Knowing that, it's still a worthwhile visit. The menu seems to have grown and become a bit less adventurous, but has something for everyone. Our beef tartare was sort of weird: too many onions and capers, and a bit acidic. Seared duck breast was more successful. Service and management is pleasant and relaxed. And at dinner time, the place is quiet to the point of being somnambulant.
And that is my biggest issue - the lack of energy. They have experimented with various market/takeout concepts, perhaps it's time for a small wine bar or something to draw a few folks off of Gaylord earlier in the evening? Lots of potential here, it just feels like the concept needs a bit more tuning.
Great fresh food. Great atmosphere.
We had our New Year’s eve dinner here again this year. A lovely evening once again!
The food is outstanding. I've eaten breakfast and dinner here and highly recommend both. I'm on a ketogenic diet and they are SO ACCOMMODATING! The service is also excellent and I love the ambiance of this restaurant. It's quiet, cozy and casual. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Service and food was wonderful in this small intimate setting.
This was the first time I've eaten here in the evening and it was lovely. It was good to be able to find a place on a Saturday night to enjoy excellent food and catch up with friends.
Best thing I can say about the place is that it was very quiet, so we could talk to each other. Menu is very limited. Food looked very nice, but much of what was served to us was different that the detailed description on the menu, without prior disclosure. That is inexcusable. Plates were either overly large, or too small so food fell off as we tried to cut it. Nothing was bad, but nothing was good enough to justify the very high prices. Would not return or recommend to anyone for occasion.
The food here is always good, but in the many times we've been here, the service has always been off, and the timing of the kitchen is poor. The last time we were there, two of us got our appetizers, then 10 minutes later the other 2 arrived, and then dinner came ten minutes after (way too early). This time, three of us got our appetizers, we sat waiting for ten minutes, and finally the server came over. We figured out that she had completely forgotten one appetizer. 6 or 7 minutes later, the 4th app came, and all of us ate our appetizers. 10 minutes later, dinner arrived, and the salmon ("HOT PLATE") was quite overcooked. They had clearly started cooking it too early, and served it anyway. It is really too bad, because the food here is always fresh, tasty, and well priced, if it is not too cold or too hot from bad service or bad timing. We therefore only come here for very casual meals with close friends, because we can put up with the problems, and not let them ruin the dining experience.
We eat there all the time food is consistently good And wait staff wonderfully
Always looking for high quality cuisine that is clean healthy and delicious - we definitely will be dining here again. The mussels and clam pasta was too good to share,
Fooducopia is a gem of a restaurant in Wash Park. My husband and I like to order two entrees and share. The server asked if we wanted it split and we said yes. At first, when she placed the grilled rack of lamb in front of me, I thought that she forgot to split the order. No, she did not forget...the portions are that generous! I highly recommend the lamb and the pan seared duck breast which we shared. Everything was cooked to perfection. We had a leisurely dinner with friends. (You can actually make a meal out of the small plates.) We finished off our dinner with the white chocolate mousse and flourless chocolate torte. The wait staff was very attentive.
(I have to mention how clean and spacious the restrooms are.)
Kudos to locally sourced food and locally owned restaurants!
Did I mention that Fooducopia is also a great place to host a private party for about forty people?
Great, creative dishes. Farm to table with delectable choices for small plates and entrees. Price seems right. Would highly recommend.
Fooducopia is a wonderful discovery! We live in the neighborhood and could not believe it was streets away. Our friends love it so much they drive 30 minutes. A must experience for delicious food breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cheers!
My friends and I came here for dinner after shopping at the JLD Holiday Mart. We always get great service here.
Best burger ever, cooked to perfection! Thank you, Chef Richard. Great tea selection and great coffee!
Love this restaurant. Great attention to service and great food. I've eaten there for breakfast, lunch and dinner - all amazing. The new kitchen should help with the wait time for food - I've been there twice since the new kitchen opened and there's been a notable difference.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a while! The lamb entree was fabulous.
This is my favorite restaurant in Colorado. I try new food every time I go because I know it will never disappoint. The service, food and the ambience are remarkable.
Such a cozy, intimate atmosphere. The fresh cut flowers on the tables and walls added a lovely touch too. The food was outstanding. Each dish was beautifully plated and packed full of flavor. My favorites were the yellow beat salad, curried brussel sprouts, and salmon on a potato pancake. Can’t wait to go back.
Love this place and its locally sourced veggies. Everything is yummy and creative!! Cozy dining area.
First time, great food and service, definitely plan to return.
Food was good once it got there. Very slow service and the restaurant was not full.
Our party of 4 enjoyed the food and the opportunity to order small dishes for sharing. The Duck was superb.
Relaxed time. Quiet and focused service.
We have had breakfast there many times and really enjoyed it but the dinner was disappointing. The food was okay, but the service was poor, we could hear our waitress saying how she wasn’t going to seat a party of 4 for an 8:30 reservation because she wanted to go home. We waited long periods of time for our food to come, to get the check or any refills. We will try the breakfast to see if it’s changed since the remodel but won’t ever be back for the dinner.
New menu looks good, but it’s only been out for a week and the kitchen is still figuring out how to execute. Food tasted good, but took a while and it wasn’t crowded. I’ll go back in a few months for sure.
