    Brunch menu is fabulous - had shrimp and grits and husband had crab cakes Benedict. Delicious inexpensive mimosas too! Out covered patio is nice and quiet.

    Nice little brunch. Fried green tomatoes were a little greasy, but the pimento cheese made it worth it. Chicken and waffles were on point and the Norwegian Omelet was pretty good. Breakfast potatoes reminded me of hotel breakfast potatoes; it could have been better. A decent Bloody Mary, but as with all drinks served in Chattanooga, I'm pretty sure it was a virgin.

    Fabulous brunch spot! The old mill building is really cool and unique for a wonderful atmosphere. A nice outside deck as well. The food was outstanding! The service was top notch. We will definitely be back.

    Our server, Jordan, was very knowledgeable. She knew the menu items and helped us select our cocktails and menu items. This was our second visit to Food Works. Based on our experience, when we are in Chattanooga again, we will be back.

    Food was delicious with plenty of variety so everyone in our group was able to find something they liked. A nice selection of wines & beers as well. We were there on a slower night so the noise level was low. I highly recommend it!

    We always have a great experience at Food Works, and this time was no different. A special thank you to Jason who swooped in and sat us down in the bar area (no one was at the front when we arrived). He took great care of us from start to finish.     Sat on the outside patio, food was tasty, area was quiet and private but overlooked a parking lot—so no view. Very close to the walking bridges into historic Chattanooga, open later at night, which was nice. I say walking distance from our AirBNB on Houser Street.

    Food was really good. We have the bruschetta to start + shrimp and grits and the grouper. Fiancé said the pasta he ordered wasn’t great, though. Isabelle was our server. She was great! Young lady at the host desk was very rude, but we didn’t let that ruin the birthday dinner hehe. Thanks y’all!

    My family and I have been to Food Works multiple times and this will definitely be our LAST! I booked a reservation for Father’s Day over two weeks in advance, but when we showed up the hostess made us wait while the restaurant sat many tables of the same size even without reservations before us. I finally had to go ask what the issue was before being seated. Once seated, it took 20 minutes to get water and 30 minutes to get drinks from the bar. Please keep in mind the restaurant was not at capacity. There were multiple empty tables. My mother received a Bloody Mary that had paper from a lighter floating in the bottom. No one apologized or even offered a refund. The appetizers were cold by the time we got them and our food was bland and cold as well. We expected everything to be freshly cooked and warm due to the wait time to get our appetizers and entrees. Our waitress was non-existent and even after asking for water refills, it took 20 minutes for her to return with the pitcher. There were so many other issues that I won’t list here! I do not recommend this restaurant at all! A once great restaurant in Chattanooga has definitely become a no-go!

    My husband and I have enjoyed every other time we've been to Food Works but this time was a major disappointment. Looking for a special brunch for Father's Day to treat our parents, we made a reservation for 11:30am but we weren't seated until 20 minutes later even though tables were available. When I approached the hostess after waiting for a while how many other parties were ahead of us, she exclaimed "oh! I can seat you now," as if she had completely forgotten about us (even though we were standing, waiting patiently in front of the hostess counter). The pita on our spinach artichoke dip appetizer was burned. The waitress served my husband an Arnold-palmer with a major floater in it of some kind and never offered to bring him another drink. The restaurant didn't have any substitutions for chorizo or cheeseburgers - not even a turkey burger - and couldn't provide sugar free syrup for my diabetic mother. While we want to be understanding to a variety of circumstances such as higher volume of people due to the holiday weekend and having a simple menu, Food Works is not unfamiliar with busy Sunday mornings and we felt that they could be a bit more sympathetic to some dietary needs. Overall, while it wasn't a horrible experience, we just felt it wasn't worth the price of our meals.

    Warm welcome upon walking in door. Molly, waitress, came for drink order just after being seated. She's fairly dry in the hospitality department, however she didn't abandon necessary drink refills, etc. It was 2-3pm, so atmosphere was less busy. We ordered Crab Cake Benedict (would have been a 5 but eggs overcooked) & Beef Brisket Hash that lacked seasoning of any sort.

    First off, our server was perfect. The Bruschetta was nothing special. Came barely warm. The wings were okay. Sea bass was mediocre at best. The entire dish was bland. It is not a sea bass fillet as posted on the menu. The lemongrass garlic fried rice and daikon radish salad was very plain. I am glad my wife enjoyed her salmon.

    Our reservations were at 7:30 and we were sat immediately. We placed our order and did not get our food until 9:00. I had to inquire why it was taking so long and then our waitress had to verify what we ordered as the order was lost in the computer. We had a 2 year old and a 1 year old and was very difficult. The manager did give us a discount but not a great experience at all. The food was okay as it took so long and we were ready to leave.

    Food was so-so. Out of the six of us, 3 enjoyed their meals and 3 did not. The did likes: prime rib dip, Asian chicken salad, salmon burger. All tasty. The did nots: steak salad (seasoning on steak tasted like taco seasoning ... very odd for a steak), mahi mahi tacos (fish was not fresh, tasted off), brisket (one piece and it was half fat). Emma, our server, was great. Very attentive and fun. Cool location. We were meeting family in town for a few hours and picked Food Works off of OpenTable, so not sure if we'd go back.
