Only offered brunch (for a 6pm reservation time) for Mother’s Day & nowhere did it give me a heads up about that. Service was slow. Ordered the crab cakes Benedict as that sounded the best from limited menu. Potatoes were cold, egg overdone, grit cake bland. Won’t go again.
There are so many places to eat now down town. Food works use to have it, food was so good and service was top notch. My family has eaten here several times and lately have not been impressed. The service we had was still very good but we know some of the servers. Chicken and waffle, the chicken was to done. Caesar salad with salmon, was lettuce and a piece of cold fish on top. 4 sides were all cold, beyond cool. We will try other places.
We always have a great experience here. Service was great and our group was accommodated well. Brunch drink prices were very reasonable. Food was good. We will be coming back here. A great location and spot to serve large groups. Overall, a nice Mother’s Day outing.
Food was ok but not excellent compared to other Chattanooga locations - Mother's Day was great!
At the time we arrived we were met with smiling faces and the time it took to seat us was unbelievable. We did have reservations, but we have made them at other places and still had to wait, and wait, and wait. Not Food Works. The Food and Service were impeccable. We make this our special occasion place and it is well worth the price. Food was wonderful. And the Young Lady that was our Waitress was so gracious. She had 12 of us to take care of and she was wonderful. Thank you for making a Mothers Day Great....
Food was delicious, server was very pleasant and efficient.
The table was ready right away, which is good because we had small kids with us. The server was on top of all of our needs, and the food was excellent. I can't wait to go back.
Great food combined with great service resulted in a wonderful mothers day experience.
Foot was terrific! Service was a little slow, but the food made up for that.
Just a wonderful experience - will definitely be back!
The service and atmosphere were great. Our server and the manager were also wonderful. The food was not great. Our appetizer, fried green tomatoes, was really tasty. I got the steak and fries and the steak was underwhelming. Not much flavor at all even with the steak sauce. My husband's fish and chips was very overcooked. He couldn't even eat one of the pieces because it was chewy. The manager did remove his meal from our ticket. I'm not sure that we'd try it again or not. Maybe it was just the food we ordered.
Good service and food as always.
The food was just "meh." We were a party of 7 and ordered a good mix of dishes - from salmon, mahi mahi, hamburgers to fish tacos. The burgers were definitely the better choice. In the appetizer space, the wings were large and tasty. Most of us commented that our sides were cold once we received our dinners. Our server was very good on drinks; however, the kitchen service was very slow. The restaurant space is very nice. Possibly a good place to go for drinks and appetizers. The entrees were not worth the money.
The food and drinks were great. Our waiter was not attentive we had to wait too long to order our second round of drinks and I had to ask my daughter to get up and go get the waiter so we can get our ticket he was standing in a room behind us where we can see him reading a book looking at a magazine. I used open table and placed an order to reserve a table on the second floor when I got there I was told that the top floor was closed although I did see people occasionally coming down the steps leaving out the side door. so I was perplexed of why we couldn't sit up there I did not like the place or the table selected for us it was literally right in front of the side door as you came up the steps. This was my first visit to Food Works
Waiter was AMAZING Service was fast delicious food
Food Works always provides a solid dining experience. I selected 4 stars because I ordered the signature salad with salmon. The salmon was perfectly prepared but the salad with bacon bits(literally looked like it came from a jar of bacon bits), also the candied walnuts were not really candied. My husband order mahi with rice and beans and enjoyed that selection.
It was great!
We always love chicken and waffles, the praline butter and my husband gets the Mother and
child. LOVE IT!
Table of 8 for Easter brunch! Great food as always! Great service!
Perfect dinner. Quick service, outstanding food, and great view from 2nd floor of downtown Chattanooga Riverfront.
I made a reservation and still had to wait 20 minutes for my table. Guy told me it’d be another 15 minutes until I told him that was unacceptable. They seat those waiting before they seat reservations, which makes no sense.
Brunch is always great! I love to make reservation and hang with friends. It is very loud though.
It was good , but the food was not stellar. Service was awesome, but the noise level was not great
Quickly seated and served. Food is always on point. I ordered the Horseradish Encrusted Salmon while my friend ordered the Catfish sandwich special. Attentive server. All reasons for why I repeatedly choose Foodworks as a preferred dining location.
We had a wonderful time at our brunch, which was a shower for our cousin's upcoming wedding. Great service from Kirsten, and would definitely recommend to friends!
I always enjoy the brunch here. The food is great and the service is awesome. Also....$1 mimosas!
First time there and I’ll definitely will be coming back! My server (Victoria) was very friendly, patient, and personable! Food could’ve been hotter if I just had to find something to complain about. Otherwise, it was amazing!
We love Foodworks! We are going back for Mother's Day!
Went there for Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint. Great ambiance. Tasty drinks. And food was fantastic. I know that Chattanooga is full of some great restaurants, but don't pass this one by!
Hadn't been there in a while and will be back soon. They smoke their own brisket and it was delicious.
Ordered medium rare strip - came out well done. Was 5-10 minutes before the waitstaff showed back up. Showed them the issue and they said they’d get another one. Came back a couple minutes later and had to take the steak to prove it to the kitchen (I guess?). Sent it back but took 15-20 minutes to get a new one. My friends had already finished eating. Then I ate a “steak and fries” steak that was slathered in sauce and tasted more like a medium rare meatloaf.
At least the French fries were good. And they took 10 off the bill - how nice!
Our server was Clay and he was the absolute BEST! Made our second trip to food works our best and turned us from seldom stopping in to future regulars!
Best brunch there is!!!!
Great food and service
The food was great, along with the Mimosas. I’ve frequent this restaurant often and will return. The service was not that great during this visit. The server took such a long time to take drink and food orders. She also didn’t check on the table very often.
Great food every day.
Food and service where great. Even with a reservation the wait time to be seated was 20 minutes. The entire meal took 2 hours. Our server was very nice, hard working and efficient with our drinks. The kitchen was backed up. I would eat there again though. The food and value were very good.
Awesome experience. The staff was very accommodating even though the restaurant was extremely busy, we weren't neglected at all.
The food is a heavy brunch so it’s good to know that going in; still, I think the flavors could have been more enhanced (other than the sage in the gravy which is a bit strong) and the food should always be hot. I felt the menu was limited in breakfast basics like scrambled eggs and cereal versions like oatmeal, granola, or grits. Overall, I think it was ok. The service was good. The juice was ok—not fresh squeezed. I just feel for the price the quality should be higher. It’s so close but just missing what makes a breakfast place really good.
