We always have a great experience at FoodWorks. There was a bit of trouble locating our reservation upon arrival (still not sure why), but it was settled immediately, and all was well - as usual - from there. Thanks again for everything!

First off, our server was perfect. The Bruschetta was nothing special. Came barely warm. The wings were okay. Sea bass was mediocre at best. The entire dish was bland. It is not a sea bass fillet as posted on the menu. The lemongrass garlic fried rice and daikon radish salad was very plain. I am glad my wife enjoyed her salmon.

The food was absolutely delicious 🤤. Our server Matthew was knowledgeable of the menu and very helpful with suggestions for my husband who was indecisive. Thank you Matthew for suggesting the short ribs; they were to die for!

Our reservations were at 7:30 and we were sat immediately. We placed our order and did not get our food until 9:00. I had to inquire why it was taking so long and then our waitress had to verify what we ordered as the order was lost in the computer. We had a 2 year old and a 1 year old and was very difficult. The manager did give us a discount but not a great experience at all. The food was okay as it took so long and we were ready to leave.

Food was so-so. Out of the six of us, 3 enjoyed their meals and 3 did not. The did likes: prime rib dip, Asian chicken salad, salmon burger. All tasty. The did nots: steak salad (seasoning on steak tasted like taco seasoning ... very odd for a steak), mahi mahi tacos (fish was not fresh, tasted off), brisket (one piece and it was half fat). Emma, our server, was great. Very attentive and fun. Cool location. We were meeting family in town for a few hours and picked Food Works off of OpenTable, so not sure if we'd go back.

We so enjoyed brunch at Food Works. The menu offers many creative brunch options, and it was fun to try some new dishes. The crab cakes Benedict was served with grits rounds, and the poached eggs were honestly the best I’ve ever had. Topped with a delicate cheese sauce and served with brunch potatoes, it was simply delicious. My husband tried the brisket and egg dish with potatoes, which he said was amazingly good. Mimosas and spicy Bloody Mary drinks were yummy, as were the small side salads to start. As for service and a pleasant dining experience, Food Works is wonderful. Our server, Matt F., was simply the best! He was personable, efficient and ensured our dishes were well timed and perfectly served. Also, the front desk associate greeted us warmly and was delightful to talk to on the way to our table. We have dined at Food Works several times. It never disappoints, and today it was delightful! Simply a wonderful dining experience!

My best friend and I took our mothers to Chattanooga (from ATL) for Mother’s Day Weekend. This place was recommended to us by a couple of locals and we were excited to check it out! The decor was beautiful, we were greeted by staff and our reservation was honored with us being seated immediately. I am disappointed to say that I would not recommend this place otherwise. The service was quite slow. The only person that liked their drink was the person that got wine, which is what I ended up switching to. We got one of the pecan whiskey cocktails that wasn’t good(I took one sip, tasted like butterscotch and I immediately asked if I could replace it with something else). A deal was made about replacing the undesired cocktail as it is apparently viewed as nothing that “they did wrong” and “management has to pay for that stuff when people send things back”. The fact is-2 ounces of liquor in that drink costs them nothing and the way that it was phrased is awful for the waitresses to have to communicate. On top of it all the food was just okay. We won’t be back.

We thought all food and service was great. We had a concern with chairs because they would slide on the floors. The seats of chairs were also very slippery. Highly recommend you get new chairs. Perhaps the same chairs you have on the porch or some treatment to the legs of chairs currently there. We really liked Foodworks and thank you for a lovely experience.

We were quickly seated at our reservation time and our server took great care of us. The downstairs seating area can be a bit loud when a full house, so ask for an upstairs table if you're wanting a more intimate experience and conversation. Our food was quickly delivered -- and met the needs of 1/2 of our group's GF needs. All was delicious!

Service was ok. Nothing to brag about . Ask out waitress about a beer which she had to go ask the bartender . Took her 20 mins to come back . Our reservation was at 7pm . We got there at 6:40 they seated us then. It was 8:20 before we got our food. We ordered two salads ! Food wasn’t even good. Bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend. I was there 8 years ago and couldn’t wait to go back. Nevertheless I won’t be back.

My husband and I went here for date night. Our server was Jackson, and he was wonderful. We ordered the spinach dip as our appetizer, which was delicious and had a little bit of a kick to it. I had the linguine with chicken, and my husband had the sea bass. Both entrees were delicious. We ended dinner with the bread pudding and crème brûlée. Every single bite was delicious. We will be back!

We were disappointed to be seated at a tiny table in the corner when we first arrived (too small for a party of 5!). But they were very gracious about allowing us to move outdoors to a bigger table. The weather was perfect! The server was friendly and on top of things. The food was delicious - Mediterranean Sea bass, pork chop, chicken piccata and chicken tenders. Great place to celebrate my birthday!

We've always loved to eat at Food Works. For dinner this last time although the drinks were very good as usual, I was disappointed generally with the food. The fried green tomatoes that in the past have been excellent were this time just blah and uncreative. The brisket was about 1/3 fat and the serving of fries was not generous. Desserts were just OK. And they didn't have any decaf coffee in the evening! Server said they ordered it but it hadn't come in yet. Well go around the corner to Whole Foods and buy some dang decaf! Give me a break. Hopefully this was just an off night. (I still haven't forgiven Food Works for doing away with their sweet potato chips and blue cheese dip which they had for years.)

Although our reservation wasn’t initially honored, we called OpenTable directly and worked it out. That aside, Cameron took great care of us from beginning to end. He is very personable, and we appreciated that. So sorry we don’t remember the name of the other staff member we met, but thumbs up to him as well for being so cool and friendly. Everything was great, and we’ll definitely be back again soon!

Very disappointed in our brunch experience yesterday. The waitress didn’t take food order until 30 minutes after we sat down! Food didn’t come out for another 45-50 minutes after ordering!! My breakfast burrito wasn’t even warm, tasted if it had been sitting around for 30 minutes. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy either. Bill was incorrect also; they charged for items we didn’t get. Waitress provided poor service and didn’t seem to even notice. Will not return. Much better brunch experiences available elsewhere in downtown Chattanooga.
