Very disappointed in our brunch experience yesterday. The waitress didn’t take food order until 30 minutes after we sat down! Food didn’t come out for another 45-50 minutes after ordering!! My breakfast burrito wasn’t even warm, tasted if it had been sitting around for 30 minutes. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy either. Bill was incorrect also; they charged for items we didn’t get. Waitress provided poor service and didn’t seem to even notice. Will not return. Much better brunch experiences available elsewhere in downtown Chattanooga.

Met up with a friend from out of town and we wanted to pick somewhere with brunch that took reservations. I’m so glad this was the first place I saw! Very delicious, reasonably priced for how delicious it was, and very spacious. Will definitely be back

Overall nice place for dinner. Food was enjoyed by all and the drinks menu was diverse with some interesting cocktails and beers. Our table enjoyed the shrimp and grits, house burger, grilled cheese and soup. All were very good and portion size was also good. Ambience is great inside the old warehouse type building. 4.5 rating overall.

We arrived early for our reservation and decided to go to the bar for a drink. We waited for about 15 minutes and were never served. Not a huge deal because our table became available, but it should have been our first sign. We were seated and our server was super nice and the menu looked great so we quickly forgot about the bar thing. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. The drinks came quickly but it was close to 30 minutes on the app and over an hour for our food. The strangest part was when our server commented that she thought our food would be out soon but she’d worked there too long to trust the kitchen and told us that she had a table recently who didn’t get their food for 2 hours because the kitchen lost their ticket. Our food came and it was great, but the service was definitely strange. I’m not in a hurry to go back.

Sigh. I have been to Food Works several times over the past few years. Every experience has been exponentially more disappointing than the last. After multiple instances of mediocre service and cold food (every dip appetizer I've ever ordered came colder than gazpacho), this time was the last straw. We went on a Saturday night. Booked long in advance. Got there at 6:30. Ordered almost straight away. Took almost an hour to get our food, which consisted of a sandwich and a soup & grilled cheese. An. Hour. When we got the food, it was cold, the portion sizes were strikingly small for the price, and the server tried to excuse it away as being due to a party of 66 upstairs. Sorry, I worked food service for years. If you knew you had parties or events like that, you planned ahead and staffed accordingly. Tired of mediocre service, shrinking portion sizes, and increasing wait times. I will not be back and do not recommend. Too many better, more consistent options nearby.

Ate there Saturday afternoon. Food was good but they gave us the brunch menu. When we asked for a lunch menu they told us they were only serving brunch till 4pm. WTH?? I really didn’t want brunch at 2pm. So had to settle for a salad 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ordered the prime rib special for V-day, and asked for the most rare piece. Was told, they are all rare. When food arrived, it was medium, and when I tried to send it back, I was told this was the best I was going to get. Secondly, I would bet that at least 1/3 of the cut was gristle or fat. Surprised they sent that piece out to begin with. Because it was V-day, I didn’t ask for another piece. Also, they seemed to be way under staffed, so sending it back would have meant I got my food 30 mins later. Major disappointment.

Overall, first time visit. Not overly impressed but would go back. Ordered appetizer, slow to come out, the wings were brunt pretty bad. They did take them back and out in another order but entrees arrived before the new order came out so asked to remove. They did. Sangria was just ok, pretty weak. Entress however, were excellent. Service was marginal.

Maybe my daughters and I just didn’t order the best dishes on the menu. One got a grilled cheese and tomato soup - but the soup was cold. I got chicken piccata - it was ok. Not great - not bad. Would I get it again? Probably not. My other daughter ordered lasagna. It was piping hot but in her words, nothing special. We left not hungry but disappointed that we didn’t love our dinner.

Always love Sunday brunch at Foodworks! Our server, Ella, was great! Very attentive even when we took so long to order! Mimosas were delicious and food was tasty! Our party got the crab meat appetizer, Hash and Mother and Son. Compliments to the kitchen staff!! Thanks for a great meal and service!
