Easy booking online. Not many there at that time so ambiance wasn’t buzzing. But food good and service friendly and professional and answered our questions. Food all good One member of our party who is a chef thought the hand cut chips were a bit ‘old’. Good portions and well presented food. The menu was lovely and the food delicious, the portions are generous and I struggled to eat two courses! Breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. Really good service and atmosphere. It was introduced to us by a friend who is a fan of the food here, we were skeptical at first because its off the high street and the name did not suggest what type of food they would serve. However their website is quite clear and each of our visits we have experienced their new menus items even though I stick to some of my favourites. The scallops and the Vodka Prawns and the steaks and the Lamb shoulder is just amazing. The sticky toffee pudding has a unique taste and the Lemon Posset I could eat all day long. The staff are friendly and efficient and the overall service fantastic. Very good value for money too. The apple and blackberry crumble was nice but too hot for my partner and it never really cooled down. I had Eton Mess which I usually love but I felt it needed a bit more meringue. We were the only people in the restaurant area most of the time which meant that the service was very fast and we were finished within 1.5 hours. The atmosphere was lovely and the decor is stunning!
