We went for lunch and to my surprise there was no host at the desk . Eventually someone did come and sat us down in the beautiful courtyard next to the fountain. A few minutes later we were asked if we wanted bottled or tap water . 10 minutes later we got water but no utensils or napkins. We had to ask for them which the manager Raul brought . He apologized for the inconvenience. The food was fantastic apps were nothing to talk about but the risotto was excellent and my ravioli was cooked to perfection. Raul came by again after dinner and brought us coconut cookies on the house and sincerely apologized . I know we go out to eat but service always sets the tone of the meal . Raul was great and the food fantastic !! Will go again ....
The food was expensive and not great. We were disappointed.
Everything was charming, the food delicious, the service was friendly and helpful.
Nice restaurant. Would be better to go in the afternoon instead of the night time
Fontana offers beautiful courtyard seating with great service and a varied dinner menu to choose from
For a truly Romantic and rewarding experience...dinner at Fontana at the Biltmore Hotel is very special. Try to reserve a table next to the beautiful fountain and enjoy the evening under the stars.
The food was good, but it wasn’t very hot. Perhaps so simple.
Good food..service a little slow but very good. Bit disappointed our table was at the side walk way with no condiments..no flower or candle..instead of in the outdoor courtyard with the fountain and lights. I had booked almost 2 weeks ahead. A little dark to read menu..saw others using phone lights too! But the ambience was nice.
Menu understandably a little limited under COVID.
The food was divine! Best filet mignon with foi grad I’ve ever had. Unfortunately the service was terrible. The waitstaff would take the order of one person in our group of seven and disappear. The server support would refill only one person’s water and not the rest. I had half of food taken and dumped into the bus bucket without asking me if I would like to take it home. Very disappointing, especially since I’ve always had a great experience at the Biltmore. Haven’t given up hope but expected much better.
The most attractive part of this restaurant is being able to dine al fresco in the beautiful Biltmore Hotel, it was my first time dining (been before multiple times for precovid brunch that was amazing) The receiving part from the host was a bit awkward and not up to what you expect from such a high-class hotel, the service was great, our waitress was amazing and friendly as well as the staff who were managing the dinning service once seated. Food was ok, nothing to rave about, but, again, this place is perfect for a romantic dinner if you are looking for the perfect ambiance to share some nice moments with your loved ones.
Everything is very old. Service was poor and slow, floor seemed very well staffed and it wasn’t slammed. Menu is extremely small for lunch. Chicken Parm was flavorless.
Lovely lunch setting; excellent food, but sadly service was sorely lacking; inattentive, did not clear dishes, poor timing, finished meal before wine arrived. But, excellent food—tuna tartar outstanding, mushroom ravioli perfect....
Saturday for brunch time, service was not good at all, and not because the place was busy.
Just taking long time to go check on us. Food wasn’t good, we had to send some items back. Charcuterie items were old, and did not have the right cut.
Food was great but service was even better! We loved our waitress Hilda and ambience was exceptional. We will be returning!
Our dinner was absolutely lovely and we've done nothing but talk wonders about celebrating our 1st anniversary at Fontana. The atmosphere was wonderful and our meals were delicious. My apologies for not remembering the name of our waitress, but she was incredibly attentive and helpful with details about the menu. I'd like to for her to be thanked and recognized for her wonderful attention once again. We'll be visiting again soon!
Beautiful location and ambiance
Food and service good
Perfect for a special occasion
They exceeded expectations. Food was very good, nice-sized portions, pricey but worth it.
Great ambience. Good service from our waitress and great food.
Chef Bepe is a master of Italian cuisine.
The service was abismal we ordered Appetizers and the waitress told us we had to order our main course immediately because she was busy I told her that I didn’t want my food come while my appetizer was there we waited 30 minutes and there came everything the food was terrible not even restaurant quality more cafeteria quality. A beautiful restaurant in a beautiful hotel with all the possibilities in the world and actual positive garbage
The food was delicious. The service amazing. We had lunch on a Monday after 1 pm and it was pretty much empty (a great feature in COVID times). There was soft music playing in the background.
The ambience and waiter service were excellent, but the restaurant would not stray from the set menu, as we have done here every year for our anniversary.
This is is supposed to be a five star restaurant at a five star hotel.
The flank steak was mediocre at best, and the sea food appetizer gave us a bad case of indigestion.
Beautiful location for dinner , under the stars in a open court yard. If you closed your eyes a moment you would open them and feel you were in another place.
Everything was good , we shared the tuna tartar, light and delicious. We decided on two classics the chicken Parm, and the ravioli stuffed with meat and with a lite truffle flavor. Then a classic tiramisu to end the meal. We had drinks in the bar first that were spot on. The service was good and attentive. They all wore masks, tables were a good distance from each other.
Best thing about Fontana was the ambiance. With that being said, the food was very good minus the tuna tartar appetizer. We did have one issue with our waitress who was a bit clumsy and spilled wine on and around my partners plate. We did order the specials and they were delicious. Very nice meal overall and would come back for a date night.
This is the second time I have dine here and the quality and presentation of the food has decreased. The hotel area is very charming and the service was great.
It was great!
Express lunch a great value. Food exceptional
Beautiful setting and ambiance in the Biltmore's interior, open-air courtyard.
I told them five times before getting there and upon checking in we were celebrating my husband’s 60th bday. Told the waiter. They did nothing for dessert- only put a happy bday choc sign on pie after I said something. Not ok!
Also, between appetizers and dinner, we waited over 45 min. It wasn’t even that busy. Not cool.
Beautiful location , great service and great food. Worth it !
Was very pleasant. Service was wonderful, I would definitely recommend!
Food and service were impeccable My friends who haven’t gone out since Covid hit felt very safe eating in the outdoor area.
My birthday celebration at the Biltmore was fabulous snd memorable. Each restaurant offered a nice selection of food-Fontana was delicious and creative with their food! As a hotel the only negative was the quality of the towels-very cheap/ too worn/ and thread bare.
Outstanding meal with great service. Open air patio restaurant was beautiful. Extremely loud music from a wedding reception was overpowering. Every table around us asked about pounding bass noise. Too bad as our waiter and the chef did a great job.
Great customer service ,ambience , and food quality outstanding
A great meal in a beautiful garden
My twin sister and I celebrated our 33RD birthday. The whole experience was AMAZING!
Food is excellent. Table service good. Hotel staff could be more attentive.
A beautiful and peaceful place to dine at the Biltmore Hotel.
The Grilled Octopus is the best in town!
