This was a renamed, different restaurant. You have the wrong name.
Been coming here regularly since you opened. Today, ON MY BIRTHDAY... was the absolute WORSE experience EVER. We never got our food and when most of us had to leave (there was 8 of us), the few that stayed behind to wait for the food to be boxed still had to wait a long time for the boxes. When we got back to work and had to eat at our desks, the food was a joke. It was cold and soggy. SO DISAPPOINTING!
Chose R&R for a staff holiday luncheon. Server was awesome, good atmosphere, everyone enjoyed the food. Something for everyone on my team, from Rubens, to Burgers, Salads, and more, everyone asked how I found the place and that the food was really good.
Typical Irish Pub fare. We were disappointed to find out they were in the throws of changing the menu and thus both our fist picks (Shephard’s Pie and Kilt Steak) were unavailable. Second choices were good, but there was a large group from UCLA having an event that caused a fair amount of confusion and noise. Probably just a bad night to dine there, but hard to rate higher than the 3.
Love almost everything about this location. Today the sweet potato fries were not as good as usual and they were only luke warm.
Sunday brunch! Food took a long time to get! Don't know if that is standard or they figure people are watching football and don't care! It took over 30 minutes to get nachos!
Went there on a Sunday evening and they were out of the majority of their beers on tap due to the 'college crowd' from the night before according to the waitress. Food was fine, service spotty and expected noise as it is a sports bar-but it was SO LOUD! Very difficult to talk at all.
This place is awesome and the service is excellent!
VERY loud! Service was very slow. However food was pretty good! Priced decently. Alcoholic beverages overpriced! Sheesh.
Still one of my favorites but the service can be better. Always have to flag someone down to order another drink or get a refill.
This previously fun rooftop restaurant is no longer Rock & Reilly’s! They changed the restaurant to one named Versa with a completely different menu. Menu items were uninspiring. Also when we got to the restaurant it was very empty and they said they didn’t have a full menu that night because there was a problem
In the kitchen. Instead they showed us a 5x7 card with about 8 food items on it. We had to leave as there was really nothing offered and the restaurant was empty and depressing. What a shame and a waste of our time. Open table - you need to update this restaurant listing!
Best for lunch. Wasn't thrilled with the Sunday menu.
Always fresh and tasty choices! The portions are perfect (to me, less food is better). Nice presentation and service always great.
Service was slower than usual that day. Service overall could be better. Everyone is very NICE, but they don't come around often enough and the food sometimes takes too long to come out, especially during lunch when we are on a fixed time.
Fun, casual hangout, great service, good selection
I go there a LOT and lately, the service has been slower. It takes a long time to get acknowledged... then it takes a while to get your drinks and food... then you have to track down your server for a refill...... What's up guys?
Food was very good - service was not. Had to ask for the drink I had ordered 20 minutes earlier, had to ask twice for a box and again for the check...
Great service, good food and easy location!
I typically like the restaurant but they were taking reservations on st. patty's day on open table but the restaurant was not actually allowing the reservations to be taking into account. I understand that day was super busy so they should not allow us to make reservations if they will not honor them.
Customer service really needs help here!!!
Service was slow and unorganized... not to mention the disgusting dirty restrooms. The bathroom upstairs was closed off and out of service had to use the men’s restroom which was absolutely filthy.
Overall.... disappointed !!!
Bad service despite not being very busy.
We just had to check out this place and the food did not disappoint - of course you can't go wrong with a Guinness! The is probably the best Brussels Sprouts appetizer dish that I have come across! It was well done and had so much flavor. The grilled cheese and tomato soup were interesting - never came across that on a menu before - but a pleasant surprised! Fish and Chips were great! Overall a good experience and not pricey! So Enjoy - it is worth a visit!
Still my FAVORITE place within walking distance! =)
Awesome service from Kenzie & great m feeling staff. Food was tasty but it is ladened w/calories, but what do you expect from an Irish pub like restaurant. A lively bar full of energy. Will definitely be back
My absolute FAVORITE place with several blocks. Keep up the good work! More happy hour specials would be great tho.... =)
MY FAVORITE PLACE IN THE AREA.
Would be nice to have more happy hour drink choices tho.
We picked R&R to pregame for the USC Homecoming Game 11/4/17. We all had a great time and our server Kate was THE BEST!!
Had the wings and the grilled cheese served with tomato soup. Both were good. Place is quiet when there isn't a local football game. Bartender also waited on tables so the service was spotty.
I love the energy of this place, but the service was lacking. We were there to watch the USC vs Texas game, and many others had the same idea as the restaurant staff was clearly overwhelmed with the business. The hostess and manager had their backs to us for nearly 5 minutes before realizing we were standing at the door (with a line behind us) waiting to be seated. After being placed in a booth surrounded by other empty tables, it took 10 minutes for a server to finally apologize and say she'll be with us in a few minutes. Our server looked like a deer in headlights and never once smiled as she rushed through our orders (luckily we noticed the advertisement for happy hour on the table or else we wouldn't have known of any specials). Once we received our food and drinks the entire experience changed. The Fish and Chips were delicious and the portion was perfect for one person. My date ordered the Shepard's Pie and loved it, saying it reminded him of a home-cooked meal. Though our server rarely checked in on us as we ate, we were very happy with our orders. Thank you to the kitchen crew who prepared our food! I'd love to return only if the restaurant hires a more competent staff. It is unacceptable that a bar/restaurant in DTLA cannot keep up with a crowd for a local sporting event when it's only about half-full.
No one greeted us and we had to seat ourselves. I'm guessing this caused me not to earn points for my visit, this location was under staffed for sure.
By far my FAVORITE place in the vicinity!! Servers are always friendly. Sometimes service is slow tho so if they were faster, it would be perfect! Food is great too!
Ordered a bunch of shared apps for dinner & they were great & filling. Yum!
I always have a great time here. I love the menu. The people who work there are awesome. Nice and friendly with great suggestions. Just a feel happy kind of place. I love it!
I've had better food and service there. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and left us sitting but luckily one of the girls took over and was fantastic.
Service was a little slow but the food was excellent. We did the DineL.A. Menu. Definitely a good value
My experience here was just meh. Service was slow slow slow. Everything except the food which you would think would be the only thing that matter but not so.
First when I walked in there was no one around. THere is big sign that says wait to be seated. I waited about 3 minutes far longer than standard. When hostess finally arrived i was seated. I think waited another 7 minutes to be even be acknowledged by waitress.
My food came out quickly not by her but a very friendly gentleman, way more so attentive than her. He brought out all my dishes. I ordered the Irish Nachos, fish and chips and ice cream burger. The Irish Nachos were tasty. They were heavy on the cheese easy on scallions and bacon :( after about the first 5 chips on top no more bacon and scallions. I didnt finish them. The fish and chips were good at first, fish no problem nice and crispy I liked. Toward the bottom of the fries the ones touches the actually pan ( all the dishes came out in what resembled a small cast iron skillet) they had a weird metallic taste, something was off didnt finish. The ice cream burger would be my only complaint food wise. i found the food good here , but the donut was not fresh. Is there a Krispy Kreme downtown? If so my suggestion is picking them up fresh everyday. The donut was hard, i didnt eat it just ate the ice cream.
Overall, while the food was good, it was nothing to write home to mama about nor tell a friend they have to try it. Unless you live in the area, its worth checking out, but driving to to get there, no skip. The service was not good unless you like hurry up and wait.
Oh and a positive for the people who like sports, lots of tvs with all the sports playing. There were 4 tvs within my view playing 2 different baseball games, a soccer game and a basketball game. And it was loud as heII in there, seems like a good sports bar at least from what i see on tv lol im sooo not a sports person
I really love this place. The menu has an amazing variety to choose from and happy hour is awesome. But what makes this place for me, besides the Tots, is how nice everyone there is. From the moment you walk in the staff there are amazing. Been there several times and I will most definitely be back again.
We were seated quickly and our server hovered. After we ordered and received drinks and food we never saw her again. Would have ordered more...
Food was good; took a very long time to get it after the order. Was Friday afternoon, but many other tables had not gotten their food either.
What can I say? I love this place. Each and every time I go here I try something new and I am never disappointed. PLUS I always get the tots. Best tots ever! Staff is very nice and the atmosphere just makes me happy. The ONLY thing I don't like is the parking. They don't validate for lunch and that is not good. I would come more often if they did. PLus what happened to the lunch special?
