First time going and the food, service and location were all fantastic. It was loud but it’s an old house turned restaurant so they didn’t build with factoring noise levels back in the day.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The quality of the food and plating is superb. We regularly venture out of Manhattan to go to this restaurant. It's Italian, but not the usual parmesan dishes. The owners are really friendly and make you feel at home. You'll love it.
Food and service excellent- this was the second time we dined here, will definitely be back.
Seven of us were out to dinner and each of us raves about our entrees. The service was warm and friendly. With the restaurant situated in an old colonial home, the friendly service gave a comfortable sense.
Lovely room, good food, gracious hospitality. We felt very welcomed.
Consistent, delicious food! Service very attentive and ambiance cozy. All ingredients for a wonderful dining experience. The braised short ribs melted with flavor and the seafood risotto special was full of lobster, mussels, shrimp and clams. Great value for adelicious meal.
Authentic Italian for in charming old house. A bit loud but a fun place.
Calamari was overbreaded and over cooked. Eggplant lasagna was okay, but fettuccine bolognese was delicious! Place was pleasant though and cutely decorated. Hostess was very nice and accommodating!
I have eaten here quite a few times. The food is consistently well prepared , beautifully plated and professionally served. I have enjoyed many items on the menu and the specials , which are creative and delicious.
During my last visit I ordered the Special , stuffed zucchini blossoms and filet of sole francese. These dishes were fabulous .
If you are looking for a lovely evening of fine dining with a byob Focacceria is the place.
Cute restaurant , but tables are much too close to each other! The stairway leading upstairs is an accident waiting to happen! SUPER SLIPPERY Need carpeting to prevent falling. DONT recommend making seniors go up there. We saw a few couples having difficulty with those stairs coming down!!
Consistent quality in food and service. Specials are always worthwhile - although this last visit they were not very many and we did not select. Salads are excellent.
A perfect family dinner event. The service was second to none and the food was fantastic. We hold this event monthly, we will definitely be back to this location.
Delicious food. Excellent service.
The place is truly a hidden gem! On a dark rainy Saturday night, it was almost impossible to find. It’s in a house with a very small sign and could definitely use better signage. Overall, we were very happy with the restaurant. We were seated upstairs, and it was extremely loud. Enjoyed everything we had, except the Fra Diablo sauce was not in the least bit spicy. My husband asked for to be extra spicy, and maybe they mistook that for no spice? Everything was cooked wonderfully, especially my Seabass entrée. They could definitely use better wine glasses. Even though it’s a BYOB, many restaurants have bigger and nicer ones.We were meeting friends from central New Jersey and this was a great middle spot for us. We will definitely be back.
Always consistently good service is good as well. We don’t go very often but when we go we thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service they provide the brothers that own the restaurant are very friendly and engaging and it seems like they genuinely care
My boyfriend and I received a gift certificate to eat here and decided to check the place out. I have celiac disease so eating out is tricky, let alone at an Italian place that does primarily homemade pasta, haha. However, our waiter was very helpful and checked on some items for me. I settled on the skirt steak option off the dinner menu - I think they changed it pretty completely from what it was originally, but I thought it was very good and actually pretty great of them to do that in the first place. Gelato was good, as was the espresso. Would come back to try other items if not for dietary restrictions. The place gets packed it seems, but they did a good job of accommodating everyone. I would recommend making a reservation if you come on a Saturday.
Our first time to the Restaurant and will definitely be back. It is cozy space, excellent food and service. Reservations look to be a "must" as it appears to be a favorite for locals.
Have never had a bad meal here.
Great food in a very cute place. I would have given it 5 stars on everything except we watched as the waiters repeatedly turned up the heat to get get the diners to leave It got ridiculously hot very quickly in the upstairs rooms at 10pm on a Saturday.
A favorite and regular family run restaurant with outstanding food and service!
As always, the brothers run a great restaurant. Food was fresh and delicious, and they acomodate special requests. One of our favorite places.
The food and service were excellent!
The owners make you feel like old friends by going around and chatting with the customers.
New menu that has great new additions as well as new ways of preparing dishes like octopus
Fantastic as always ; the staff and food are exceptional
Great food, great presentation , great atmosphere, and awesome service.
Great place to eat and a good atmosphere, I will go back again
Focaceria continues to be one of my favorite restaurants. The food is consistently excellent, and they are very receptive to customizing dishes to accommodate my diet. Service is very attentive too. I'll be back soon!
This was out first time dining at Focaccheria. We found that it exceeded all expectations. The wait staff was knowledgeable, prompt, and professional. The food was exceptional and prepared just the way we requested. We will take a number of friends along next time - which will be soon as there are many other menu items we would like to experience.
Terrific meal; family run and attention to details shows in the service and food! Excellent!
Frank and his team do a amazing job. Service and food is spot on!
I have been going to Focacceria for many years, and their food and menu continues to be inventive and creative, while still saving the many favorites that are so good. Adding to the food is the warm and cozy atmosphere and superior service. I just LOVE this place...great for casual dinner, but also special enough for "date night"!
Focacceria consistently delivers fresh, delicious dishes whether it is the beet and goat cheese salad or mussels as appetizers or the specials of the day which are excellent additions to the normal menu. All of our dishes were very good. Service was a bit off - on a cold Sunday night - but the ambiance is cozy and the value very good.
Went there for my 25 year old daughter's birthday. There were four of us in the group. We all ordered something different, and we all agreed that our food was very good. The service was great as the entire staff was very attentive. Would definitely go again and cannot wait to go again.
great food, wonderful atmosphere and excellent service
Excellent as always!
Exceptional service and food quality. This has to be one of the top restaurants in NJ.
Won't be back. Won't be back. Won't be back. Won't be back.
We have been dining at Focacceria for over 10 years and the quality of food and great service makes it one of the best restaurants in the area. A true pleasure!
Another delicious dinner at Focacceria. We are local residents and love the fact that there is a great Italian restatso ckose by. Staff is always very friendly and accommodating.
As always Focacceria over delivered. The staff goes out of their way to ensure customers are happy. Not a bad item on the menu.
I recommend the octopus , baratta, figs. Every entree is outstanding
Good service and good food. We went early so it wasn't noisy.
