Simply the best Italian restaurant in the area.
Went for a business lunch on a cool Friday and sat inside. It was not crowded, but it is located in an quaint converted house so may have been louder if more people were there. Had the Caesar salad and cavatelli with sausage and broccoli rabe special and it was excellent. A bit pricey; my colleague had a salad and the snapper special and total without drinks was $86. My portion was big enough to take home and have again for dinner. Yum!
I'm going back to use the open table points card they were unable to process but it was slow, crowded, very very noisy and the food was just ok.
As always, the food and service were both outstanding. The sweet & spicy calamari is tender inside, crispy outside and full of flavor. Shrimp w/Black Linguini is the best Fra Diavlo I’ve ever tasted. Consistently high quality food and service define this restaurant.
Great little place -- food is wonderful, the owner is very friendly. Highly recommend!
It’s the best Italian restaurant in the area. In my opinion no one comes close!
Best salmon dish I’ve had in a long time!! No rush with our dinner we were able sit and chat to finish our wine which was very nice!! Would go there again!!
The Focacceria is a hidden gem in Liberty Corner! The restaurant is located in a lovely historic house with a wonderful patio out front for dining al fresco in warmer weather. The interior decor is tasteful and understated. I recently visited for a weekday lunch with a colleague. We were promptly greeted and shown to our table. The service we received was outstanding: our server was very attentive, refilling water glasses, clearing plates promptly, and checking back in with us periodically.
The complimentary focaccia-style bread is a treat (dense and chewy with nice flavors of rosemary though a little too heavy on the coarse-ground salt) and made fresh in-house daily. Our entrees were nicely plated and very tasty. Dessert was also delicious. Be sure to try the Affogato (an ice cream and espresso shake) - it is incredibly rich and decadent. The owner is very personable and chatted with us for a while at the end of our meal.
In terms of mobility accessibility, note that the front entrance has multiple steps from the ground level up to the porch so obviously this does not work for anyone using a mobility device such as a cane, walker or wheelchair. However, there is a wooden ramp at the back of the building which leads through the kitchen to the downstairs dining room. When making a reservation, be sure to let them know that you require a table downstairs otherwise on busy evenings there may only be seating available in the upstairs dining area (there is no elevator, just a flight of stairs).
You can not get a better meal in this area, the food and service were outstanding.
Wonderful evening with yummy food 😋
Always a home-run. Consistently great!
I'm never disappointed with Foccareria. Food was excellent (sweet and sour calamari is a must for an appetizer). Service was great with the owners taking time to check and talk with our table. A great dining experience.
This was our first time dining here. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait to be seated. Got the impression they were either under staffed or overbooked themselves. I give the hostess and waitstaff credit for staying cool under pressure. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cute and cozy. They had nice jazz music playing, but could barely be heard as the restaurant was full and quite loud. Long wait between courses. I’m thinking that maybe they were busy beyond what’s normal given that this is a long holiday weekend. Having said that, we would definitely give this place another try on a less busy weekend. The menu is extensive. I had the chopped salad and the shrimp fra diavolo. My husband had the burrata and the rigatoni with meatballs. I had the tiramisu for dessert and my husband had the cannolis. Everything was very good. Keep in mind this is a BYOB restaurant.
Great meals and service as always.
Very crowded and very noisy. I will not go back
Enjoyed our experience food was delicious looking forward to going back again.
Excellent venue - friendly staff. Would recommend it for any occasion
This is our go to spot to meet family as it’s in a convenient location for all. Service, food and ambiance are always top notch. Love it and highly recommend !
Great food and service. We enjoyed our evening, thanks!
I would recommend to someone who appreciates a nice ambiance.
Incredible! This was are first time but we'll definitely be back. Food was amazing, service was on point and we couldn't have been happier!
Food & Service were very good
Consistently great food. Have been going for years and it never disappoints!
Very nice hostess, waiter was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious!
Did not honor reservation. Crazy line at the door. Disorganized. Waited 20 min And eventually walked out.
We had reservations to celebrate my mother's 89th birthday on a busy Saturday night. We got a flat tire on the way to the restaurant (pot hole). I called Focacceria to let them know of our predicament. Even though they were busy, they managed to fit us in 45 minutes later than our original reservation time.
Comfortable atmosphere. Food and service always excellent. Consistently delivers a high quality dining experience. My favorites- sweet & spicy calamari and black linguini with shrimp fra diavlo. Outstanding!
One of the few local restaurants that remains wonderful....with a menu that changes consistently, gracious servers, and I've been going for years...just keeps getting better! Love the place!
Got the rigatoni with meatballs and the pasta was hardly cooked and very hard. We sat in the upstairs corner and it felt like they didn’t have the heat on. Overall disappointment experience.
Cozy house ambience. Food was very good. My husband had eggplant lasagna that was excellent and special. Chopped salad was very good. Meatballs were very good. We will return soon!
I must admit that Focacceria is one of my favorite restaurants. I have eaten there many times and it does not disappoint . I recently ordered the fettuccini Bolongese. It was wonderful . The pasta was light and the sauce was delicious. It is a byob which is a plus for me.
The food and ambience is excellent. Make sure you have time, not for a "quick bite" but worth the wait.
Great food. Owner personally involved with diners. Good value. I highly recommend.
The food & service was great, as always. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We go to Focacceria regularly. Its one of our favorites. Saturday, we meet some old friends and the food (always delicious) and atmosphere was perfect. Service was exceptional and we never felt rushed.
Good food and service
Love this restaurant! Food and Service consistently good. Had eggplant lasagna and it was wonderful!
Relaxed atmosphere, amazing food, friendly staff -- we'll be back!
Food and service were both top notch - as always! Outstanding dining experience!
Food was fabulous only surpassed by the service. Great time for us - Dinner special - Seafood risotto was topped with butterflied lobster tail great presentation and great flavor.
