Parking is available in our building. The rates are variable during the day and just $2.00 (flat rate) after 5pm. To use the garage enter the alley between Westlake and Terry from Harrison. Our garage entrance is immediately on your right as you enter the alley.
The South Lake Union Street Car runs every 15 minutes, 6am to 9pm Sunday thru Thursday, and 6am to 11pm Friday and Saturday.

The food was fine but the service was poor. We had dinner on a Saturday around 5pm before our concert. There were a total of six tables with three servers total. Our server was not around. He was hanging out in the bar while our food was sitting on the kitchen counter waiting to be picked up. Finally another server picked it up and served it to us. Our server checked on us once and did not bother to ask if we wanted a second round of drinks. It took forever to get our check. Not impressed.
Sadly, my entrée of Crab Ravioli was horrible. My friends had better experiences with the halibut and New York steak selections. I used to really like this restaurant and I like to support local chef owned establishments, but after 2 bad experiences I won't be trying this one again.
I had high expectations for Flying Fish. Unfortunately, they were not met. I made a reservation for 8:30 PM. When I arrived, I was greeting by a host/server/bar tender who could not find my reservation. Wearing 3 different hats, my service suffered tremendously. Waited nearly 10 minutes for water, wine took 15 minutes to get to my table. When it finally arrived I was half way through my appetizer. Ordered 1/2 dz of Oyster and Scallops. No reason wine should take longer than my wine considering each piece of shellfish has to be shucked by hand. Through careless action on behalf of the kitchen, there was a scallop stuck to the bottom of one of my shells, giving me 7 scallops. For my entree, I ordered Ravioli stuffed with artichoke and mushrooms. While flavorful, they were drenched in sauce that would not allow the stuff to actually stay inside of the ravioli. FOr dessert I went with the Tres Leches Bread Pudding, that tasted like french toast and covered in syrup. Not my ideal way to end a meal... with breakfast.
Beautifully decorated. Wish the music matched the decor. Not too into listening to lady gaga when I'm paying a hefty amount for dinner.
I have eaten here numerous times and have always had a great experience. After this visit, i won't go back. The quality of the food has seriously plummeted. The poke was previously just delicious - from the taste of it this time it was as if they took a bottle of Thai chili sauce and poured it over the tuna. Maybe our waiter was the only one working and they were short staffed - because I had to physically track him down to order things. We had a lovely time - but it did take 3.5 hours for the experience in part due to the slow service.
The service and the overall look of the restaurant was beautiful. A warning for those who don't like spicy food, they are super heavy with the spice. We ordered the salt and pepper crab and the meat inside was good but it was seriously messy and the spices numbed our faces. We thought the daikon salad would mellow it out but it tasted like it was soaked in jalapeño juice/ghost peppers. There should have been a warning of spice level. The clams were good but a little pepper heavy. If the spice level could be managed or corrected warnings on the menu, I'd contemplate returning.
Came in with two very hungry kids, ordered right away but it took 40 minutes for the food to come out. The waiter was defensive and said it was due to backup in the kitchen. The food was good and when the bill came, they discounted 15% to "make things right".
Flying Fish has lost its touch. The food just doesn't have the same quality as when I first moved to Seattle. My salmon was over cooked and very salty. The pasta dish was also very heavy, almost paste like. We were also surprised to see a nearly empty dining room on a Thursday night. I'm not sure if others have had a relatable experience, but we won't be coming back.
I haven't been to the Flying Fish in over 10 years. I suppose I was expecting it to be the way it was which was pretty phenomenal back in the day. Currently, it is fine but the entrees where a bit odd in their combinations. The fish itself was cooked perfectly, however. Staff are nice, service is good, ambience is fine - just not amazing. I would recommend it but it didn't blow me away or my guests from out of town.
We arrived at 7:00 pm but were not seen by a waiter until 7:45pm. Not a joke. In the time we sat waiting we also saw two other parties get ignored and they ended up leaving. We stayed for the 8:30 pm happy hour which was great value for money, however, with the poor service it had already ruined our evening. The wait staff also seemed like they couldn't agree which section belonged to them and we overhead them bickering with each other which made us uncomfortable.
The food was exceptional and the ambience wonderful. Definitely indulge in the Dungeness crab. Top shelf liquor and unusually tasty appetizers. Unfortunately our server was a bit too often "missing in action" for simple requests like a soda refill or additional napkin. And he took a while to get us water and then take our initial order. He also struggled a bit with remembering who ordered which drink.
Flying Fish appears to us to be past its prime, compared with the previous location. Food was still ok, not great. Service was distracted. Taped-over, ripped seats in the booths were tacky. Sports on TV diminished the ambience. Unfortunate to see this once-fabulous restaurant slide downhill.
This place....does not worth it at all. I went there at 5:45 after movie with an empty stomach and expecting some good food, however, the expectation is way too high. I order lemongrass shrimp...which is just soso. The pickled vegetables taste better than the shrimp. And I also ordered oysters which is as small as baby oysters. 😐and it is 1.25 each!!!! I mean.....is there any decency in this restaurant?! And there signature dish-fried rock fish. Hmm.....hard to tell whether is fresh or not...too much salt!!!! And pepper!!!!!!! This is a poor experience.....
Dismal. We went on a Saturday evening around 6pm. Place was empty, which should have been our first clue. Waiter was more interested in UFC fight showing on TV, than in coming over to take orders, fill water, etc. We decided not to stay, and left after some oysters, went elsewhere for dinner. Will not be back.
Uncharacteristically, my husband found himself with some extra time before a show we had scheduled at McCaw Hall. He has been craving salmon ever since I put some Copper River on the BBQ a few weeks ago, and told me to make reservations. It was a gorgeous, hot day here in Seattle, so the usual suspects around Lake Union were booked for the time we needed. Fortunately for us, Flying Fish offered the perfect time. I had the smoked saki marinated black cod (some menus call it sable fish) with their signature salad, and Mark had the salmon with their poached pear salad. I ordered off the menu , but Mark made some changes (mixed greens instead of radicchio for his salad, and risotto instead of potatoes with his entree). They were gracious and accommodating, charming and fast. We ended up being early for our show! Love this place!
