Bowen's Wharf and The Mooring (paid) parking lots are both easily accessible to the restaurant. Limited metered spaces are available on Thames Street (free Nov-April). Mary Street or the Gateway Center parking lots are less than 5 minutes walk from the restaurant.
Fluke can validate parking for up to two hours in the Bowen's Wharf parking lot from October through April.

I picked fluke due to the Trip Advisor reviews. This restaurant should be rated higher than what it is. The food is amazing and I am a food snob. We had a few appetizers, dinner and finished with dessert. Every mouthful was amazing. Definitely make this on your hit list.
I found this restaurant to be slightly overrated based on the cost vs. quality of the service and meals, not including the lack of friendliness of the staff. The food selections were ok, but for the price you would have expected more. They also tried to get cute when creating certain appetizer dishes and could have forgone the popcorn on the ceviche - not sure whose idea that was? Our waitress was ok but never felt she was truly engaged and present. The big disappointment was I came here with my wife for our anniversary, which was noted, but was never mentioned at anytime. We left the restaurant feeling disappointed and that are experience was less than satisfactory. I understand it was restaurant week, which I’m sure most restaurants hate, but we ate off the main menu and the perception was they were trying to move us in and out as fast as possible. Most likely would not recommend this place in the future.
I went with a friend for restaurant week. My meal was very good, my friend did not care for her appetizer or dessert. The biggest problem was that they significantly changed the published restaurant week menu, and we only picked Fluke because we both found things we were really excited to try. While my second choices were delicious, it was still disappointing. I will say that the portions were very generous, especially when compared to other pre-fixe menus and our server was absolutely wonderful.
I went with a friend to catch up and she was running a little behind schedule trying to park. While I waiting I spoke to the hostess who I believe might also be an owner, she was amazing even got us a special window table just because! The food was amazing we did the restaurant week menu however I've been here a couple times prior and always had good food as well.
Always enjoy Fluke! The food was excellent- as usual. We came to enjoy the restaurant week menu special prices. The beef cheeks pappardelle was excellent,( and different!!) as was my husband's fish dinner ( note- he always puts sauces on the side so flavors don't overwhelm the fish).
Dessert was fantastic too- with molten chocolate cake with salted carsmel gelato- yum!
Took my wife here for her birthday, and we can't wait to go back. She has a severe nut/peanut allergy, and the staff handled it incredibly well. We went during restaurant week so we got great value (three courses for $35) but we would definitely go back even outside that week. We thoroughly enjoyed our table on the second floor but the third floor bar is clearly the place to be, either at the bar or at one of the nearby tables. Highly recommend this place if you love seafood, although there is also animal protein on the menu, and they have plenty of vegetarian options as well.
We were pleased with the Restaurant Week menu that Fluke offered. I had the Fluke and it was a generous portion and perfectly cooked. Friends had the chicken and beef cheek pasta. Beef cheeks were ground up- so it was hard to tell what the meat was - but it was tasty.
Attentive service, creative seafood options ,delicious flavors. We ate upstairs where it was cozy and lively conversations. We had the ceviche trio fresh and creative flavors and the Tautog with Chimmechiri which was wonderful. Our daughter had the scallops with Asian flavors, very good.White table cloths and patterned cloth napkins and candle light.
Fluke has long been our favorite restaurant in Newport. I am a seafood lover and it’s seafood menu is the best. Truly a gourmet menu. Wonderful desserts. A lovely list of drinks and a wine list that is cultivated by the owner is Jeff and Geremy, Who, by the way are absolutely wonderful hosts. The view is spectacular especially near the windows, with a view over Newport Harbor and the colonial buildings below. Great for a romantic getaway, a place to take friends if they’re visiting, a place to go if you are visiting, just a great place. If you get the chance, go!
My husband and I went to Fluke for our Anniversary and it was amazing. The place was packed, thankfully I made a reservation 2 weeks prior. We are both chefs and loved every bite, that says a lot. We ordered a bunch of things and split everything as we always do. We had the cheese and charcuterie plate, chicken liver crostini, crab cakes, butternut squash tart, kale and brussels sprouts salad and beef cheek ravioli. The crab cakes were average, my recipe is better; I'm very tough on crab cakes but my husband did like them. The kale and brussels sprouts salad was AMAZING! So simple and absolutely bursting with flavor. The chicken liver crostini and butternut squash tart were nicely executed dishes hitting all the right notes, especially with the other dishes we selected. The one full entree we got, the beef cheek ravioli was the perfect end to our fabulous meal. Full of flavor, the sauce coated your mouth leaving a slight stickyness like only real bone stock can do. It was fantastic, kept us going back for more and wishing we had more. Prices really weren't bad, especially for the quality of the food. Service was great. Great view of the trees and bustling street bellow. If I had one criticism, it would be that I didn't like the dessert options but that's because I'm all about chocolate when it comes to dessert. Not being satisfied with their offerings we went elsewhere for dessert. Other than that, perfection! We would go back in a heartbeat!
This is my second time at Fluke. Service and food were not worth the price this time around and that was a bit disappointing. Service was rushed and the duck was over cooked. Not what you'd expect out of a thirty dollar entree. We were instructed to order "all courses together" and this is for an a la carte menu. Drinks were OK and so was the ambience.
Not sure if I'd like to go back, unless they focus on quality and a bit on service.
The atmosphere and service at Fluke is exceptional. Our fish dishes were creative and the fish was fresh and paired with nice vegetables. Several tables are window side, overlooking the wharf/harbor. They offer a very nice wine list. We chose a bottle which we learned was not available, and their sommelier arrived with a tasting of an alternative suggestion, which was excellent with our meal. With so many choices in town, we found the prices at Fluke to be more reasonable than other restaurants in the area. We were happy with our choice for our one night stay in Newport.
