great for the wine, small plates and the view! Was reasonably priced too
we enjoyed the salads and Caymus Wine!
We shared the mussels as an appetizer. It was delicious and ask for extra bread to dip in the broth. The fluke, ravioli and monkfish were fresh and prepared with savory vegetables. Our server was very attentive and she convinced us to try the goat cheese cake which was an excellent ending to a delightful meal.
The staff was lovely and attentive. Pretty place with charming roof top views
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We usually sit in the bar area. It is always great. They have a nice wine selection. The cocktails are very special. And the food is absolutely great. Sometimes we do small plates and drinks. This time we did a full dinner. Everything was wonderful. The view is also great.
The fried mussels, skate, and bread pudding were all fantastic! Great stop for restaurant week!
Fluke has become our favorite restaurant! We're never disappointed with their food. Their Skate is absolutely out of this world!
The service and staff were absolutely outstanding, the food was very good, the noise level was a little bit loud but I’d still recommend you try this restaurant for yourself.
We were fortunate enough to eat here during restaurant week, the food and cocktails were delicious. The staff was excellent as well!
Overall we are big fans of Fluke. But the menu is getting a bit tired and they would really benefit from occasionally changing it or adding some specials. Also the wine list is not user friendly. Wines should be listed by grape. Also wish they offered more California Chardonnay choices. But as far as food in Newport, it is still one of our favorites.
Amazing window seat overlooking Bannisters Wharf. Excellent service. Food was outstanding. 5 stars all day long.
It was a perfect night. We had a table for two with a view.
The food and presentation was very good.
The staff was very attentive and our server made a great recommendation for a bottle of wine and knew the menu.
Would love to come back and sit up on the third floor..
Looks like that was the happening scene and very lively!
Excellent food and service. Try the specialty coffee drinks!
Excellent as always!
This place is AMAZING! We have been coming here since shortly after they opened several years ago and we are never disappointed! The service is great, the chef is creative and the owners, Geremie and Jeff are so nice and friendly. This restaurant is just a gem and they also cater to gluten-free/celiac diners like myself. We just can’t say enough about this fabulous place! We live 3 hours away from Newport, but specifically plan drives to here a few times/year so we can enjoy our favorite place in Newport to dine. We plan to continue returning again and again and again....
Excellent good and service. Nice ambiance and view. Went there good Valentine's Day dinner and we had a great time.
Jeff and Geremie could not be more gracious or welcoming. They add real personal warmth to a great dining product.
Everything was so excellent. A wonderful Valentines Day dinner with my wife. Wine list is substantial. Cocktails are top notch and the food was out of this world! Great service and interaction with the owner. Definitely moving to our most favorite restaurant destination list!!
Wonderful food, great ambiance and outstanding service. Signature cocktails well prepared. Will be back!
This was our 5th or 6th NYE there, always a great time. Service, food and atmosphere are perfect.
The food was delicious, service was spotty and the atmosphere for New Year’s Eve was non-existent. It was my birthday and my partner called ahead to let the restaurant know of the special occasion. My first dessert choice was out and when my goat cheese cheesecake arrived, it had one sad candle and it was dropped off with rush. I would not go back.
One of the best and most reliable fine dining "foodie" places in Newport.
Wonderful meal, inventive menu, great wine list, excellent service and nice ambience. Great location on wharf in Newport. Go!
This was a terrific dining experience; casual yet "chic" surroundings- the restaurant is on the second floor and a nice bar area on the third floor. The meal was excellent: hake and sea bass; the owner recommended a wonderful French white wine from the Loire.
Wonderfully modern and comfortable ambiance. Especially perfect for those who enjoy upscale dining frequently and can be deserning.
We had a wonderful time! We try so set time in our busy schedule for date night so we like it to feel special and Fluke does just that!
The door kept slamming and everyone would jump. Much of the food was like warm. Not worth the money.
Wonderful staff. Food was fresh, creative, lovely wine list. Will definitely be back.
I was sceptical about the skate. I’ve never seen it on a menu before. I tried it and Wow. While it’s not something to try at home, Fluke made it interesting and tasty. The combination with seasonal veggies and sauce made it a memorable taste. But then I’m a guy who has had lion and antelope filet in the same meal. Fluke is a place you don’t want to miss in Newport!
We had a lovely dinner on a weekend Christmasy getaway to Newport. Fun, delicious cocktails and all of our food was wonderful. We enjoyed and highly recommend the duck empanaditas, the fire dancer cocktail, the skate with pastrami spices, angel hair with caviar — and the goat cheese cheese cake. Staff was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time
Husband's birthday with good friends. Food is always great, and we were on the top floor in the bar area so was fun and energetic!
Menu consisted of some unique pairings of appetizers and entrees in small and large plate selections. While we both enjoyed our choices which amounted to a light food fare with drinks, we suggest a review of their menu online prior to making a reservation as their selections may not satisfy everyone. We will plan a return visit the next time we are in Newport!
I picked fluke due to the Trip Advisor reviews. This restaurant should be rated higher than what it is. The food is amazing and I am a food snob. We had a few appetizers, dinner and finished with dessert. Every mouthful was amazing. Definitely make this on your hit list.
I found this restaurant to be slightly overrated based on the cost vs. quality of the service and meals, not including the lack of friendliness of the staff. The food selections were ok, but for the price you would have expected more. They also tried to get cute when creating certain appetizer dishes and could have forgone the popcorn on the ceviche - not sure whose idea that was? Our waitress was ok but never felt she was truly engaged and present. The big disappointment was I came here with my wife for our anniversary, which was noted, but was never mentioned at anytime. We left the restaurant feeling disappointed and that are experience was less than satisfactory. I understand it was restaurant week, which I’m sure most restaurants hate, but we ate off the main menu and the perception was they were trying to move us in and out as fast as possible. Most likely would not recommend this place in the future.
Service was fantastic. Goats milk cheesecake was phenomenal!
I went with a friend for restaurant week. My meal was very good, my friend did not care for her appetizer or dessert. The biggest problem was that they significantly changed the published restaurant week menu, and we only picked Fluke because we both found things we were really excited to try. While my second choices were delicious, it was still disappointing. I will say that the portions were very generous, especially when compared to other pre-fixe menus and our server was absolutely wonderful.
We went for Restaurant week. The food was really good, however the beef cheek parpadell needed some more seasoning and there was no pumpkin creme brûlée. I was very disappointed in that.
I went with a friend to catch up and she was running a little behind schedule trying to park. While I waiting I spoke to the hostess who I believe might also be an owner, she was amazing even got us a special window table just because! The food was amazing we did the restaurant week menu however I've been here a couple times prior and always had good food as well.
Wonderful meal overlooking the wharf area. All three courses nicely prepared. Service was great and we all agreed the bartender made a delicious drink. Big fan will be back!
Service excellent, ask for Visci, Black Sea Bass the best I’ve ever had, wondeful accompaniments and dessert, goat cheese cheesecake is to die for. We’ll be back soon!
