Food was excellent and service impeccable, per usual.
When you first walk in, the place itself is just beautiful. The waiter was so nice and attentive. The bartender mixing our drinks would come by himself and make sure everything was too our liking. I had the fish with assorted vegetables and it was so good and so fresh. I was honestly surprised to see that the ratings for this place on Google averaged to like a 4, because even though this place is more expensive, they quality was outstanding.
Wonderful ambience, old but modern. Have a wonderful menu, not too much, just enough to choose something different. Had the venison tartare which was amazing! I would highly recommend it.
Amazing! Our waitress was sweet, warm and attentive. The food was exceptional. My gravalax benny had crispy capers. Most places just remove capers from the jar and place them on a plate, which gives them a pickled taste. The attention to details was compliments to the chef, and is what sets them apart from other restaurants I’ve eaten. Thank you and we will be back soon!

Went to the Flour Mill to celebrate getting engaged. The ambience is set as if you were being served fine dining in a private cottage. Absolutely loved our experience. Will definitely be returning!

The music was veryy low. Was super awkward talking as everyone was quiet and could hear our whole conversation. The food was outstanding and we will come back for the service and food again!
They just changed the chief last week, we waited for one and half hour for our main courses, since “it’s the first Saturday he worked”. Not recommended.
The food was good however the service wasn't the best. I ordered the duck and wasn't given a knife to cut it with when the food came out. I had to sit and wait until we could flag someone down to eat. After the main, all our utensils and plates were cleared, dessert came with no utensils we tried to ask the gentleman who dropped it off for a spoon who just looked at us and then walked away. Again I was left sitting there trying to flag someone down so I could eat my dessert. Not what we would expect from a restaurant like this.
You should be aware the reservation was canceled. When we arrived to dine the woman told us there was a family emergency. We were surprised hear and said to the woman a phone call would have been nice
Back on September 15,2021 at 8:30 AM we visited this restaurant and We made a reservation in case things were busy, to our suprise it was not, there was only one table of two.
When we arrived (on time), it seemed as if the staff member was walking out of the kitchen towards us but when she looked up and saw us, with ZERO acknowledgment she turned around and headed back. For the next ten minutes we waited at the hostess stand while she continued to poke her head out to look at us but again not saying a word, no hello, no I’ll be with you in a moment, NOTHING. She probably did this five times. at one point she was even joined by the other employee and they both would look out. It was as if they were waiting to see if we would leave. After 10 minutes of waiting and zero acknowledgement, except the constant quick eye check, we thought maybe we were to seat our selves. As we proceed to do so the server finally spoke to us from the back curtain, and instead of saying “sorry for the wait but you are unable to seat yourself could you give me a few minutes” she reacted rudely and with plenty of attitude to say “sorry you can not do that, you can’t be seating yourselves, I am the only server here and you are going to have to wait when I’m ready to seat you”. We were shocked, and absolutely appalled at her reaction. The five minutes she took to rudely attack us for walking towards the dining area she could have actually let us know it would be a little of a wait and we would have understood. All we were looking for was an acknowledgment. Due to her lack of customer service and absolutely rude tone for something so innocent, we left.
We were really looking forward to dining at your restaurant, we were celebrating my mother’s birthday and she had seen the restaurant online. She loved the vibe and atmosphere. It was a horrible start to our day unfortunately.
Great service and quality food. Only complaint is the loud music. Maybe a total of 14 guests but still have to speak over the music.

The apple fritters shareable was amazing! Service was good in explaining everything on the menu including portions to help you make a decision on what to order.
Very poor service and okay food for the expensive price. Drinks took a long time to come- they arrived after our appetizers, which we ordered after our drinks. We also asked for a side of mustard for the duck, and it arrived when we were literally on our last bite so didn’t end up eating it. Server could not be found throughout the meal, we had to get up and find her to ask for the cheque. She credited the poor service to being busy, even though the dining room was half empty. Also, wagyu beef tartare is served in cheap STALE ice-cream cones which we didn’t end up eating - do NOT recommend.
The food here is good but very overpriced. $25-$30 for a breakfast you could get anywhere for much less. The coffee is $7 per person… our server failed to tell us the cost was per person not per French press, and he didn’t offer to refill it. So we paid $21 for one French press of coffee. Such a rip off.
I would opt for a different breakfast spot.. the bill will shock you and you’ll be left disappointed.

My only negative is the chef is trying to hard to seem high brow. The splatter of fed fruit juice on the plate looms like blood splatter at a crime scene. Go with a drizzle.

They have the best Kurosawa scones homemade jam and eggs breakfast on top of that it’s best customer service it’s my best choice of breakfast in Niagara falls
Had dinner on the patio. Food and cocktails were average, music (by a live DJ) was much too loud for the small space. Prices were astronomical for the quality of food, drink and ambience.
Good food, nice steak/duck/pork chop/seafood bowl/tuna tartare/ pork skewers. Nice presentation and good taste. Portion a bit too tiny. Salade has little carrots unchopped a bit too chewy, couscous was a bit too dry. Pinot was good; scotch had some off taste.
The patio looked great when we first sat down, the host was friendly. Do NOT order drinks off menu. I made the mistake of asking for ($17) margarita. It came rimmed with sugar, and tasted simply just like bar lime. Service took forever even through the patio was empty. The food was honestly… terrible. The seafood pasta was bland and greasy, pork chop was tough with about 5 baby carrots, 4 pieces of asparagus and a tablespoon of what was described as mashed potatoes - more like a potato purée for garnish. I don’t think the cooks used any s&p on the entire meal. No love at all in the food’s prep. When asked about coffee with dessert “we don’t serve coffee”. For a place that serves $45 entrees I would expect much better. Go make that coffee happen - I’m sure you have a beautiful machine sitting inside collecting dust. Only saving grace we had a young woman who was “training” with an apparently experienced server (he was totally disengaged) who was lovely, courteous, attentive.

Our first time at the restaurant. Limited menu (only 4 apps, mains, and desserts) but each dish looked phenomenal it was hard to decide which items you want. Very expensive but for the quality of the food, it’s definitely within reason. Would have ordered the whole menu if it didn’t break the bank. The ambiance was amazing. Quiet and private to each table. The building itself was very rustic, coupled with the dimly lit interior, made the atmosphere feel really personal.
The food is a 10 out of 10 the service was a 11 out of 10 the server had recommended the duck and the wine and she was right on . Thank you

The staff was so friendly, specially Alexis, our server; and Joe. They made us feel at home.
The warmth and antique decor of the building makes it cozy, yet beautiful. Even the washrooms were so elegant and sparkling clean. We felt very safe all along.

The dining room was very welcoming with a wood fireplace and large comfortable chairs. The app we had was delicious with a good assortment of cheese pickled veggies and meats.
