Flour - Italian Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
Albion took wonderful care of our party of three. he is very personable and service orientated. We enjoyed two bottles of wine with our dinner. Diners loved their mixed greens, Tagliatelle, cavatelli with beef (special of the night), stuffed peppers and pork chop (special of the night). Portions sized that we had leftovers! The chocolate cherry ice cream was a nice way to finish the meal.
Flour never disappoints. We came for brunch, specifically I came for the Nutella French Toast. I appreciate the traditional brunch fare with a twist. Service was excellent. We were in and out in less than an hour- we asked for the check when we received our food as we had a not quite two year old in tow. Thank you Flour for an enjoyable brunch!
Loved the food as always. Hats off to the chef. Drinks were perfect as well. My only issue was our table location. It was by the front door and didn’t have the same intimate feel as being in the restaurant at one of the tables. I’ll be back for sure as this is my favorite place to dine, I’ll just ask not to sit by the door.
It was NYE and we were seated at an "extra" table. Flimsy, uncomfortable folding chairs and folding table covered in black tablecloth. Not happy with that - in hindsight we should have asked for a regular table. Great waitress and food made up for it, but don't overbook if you don't have the space and tables for everyone - I felt like I was sitting at a cheap wedding table.
I have had lunch and dinner at Flour several times. I previously held many business dinners at Flour but I won’t be back. I was a great customer for Flour until my dinner on NYE. I was given a $75.00 gift card to Flour but the manager refused to honor the gift card. He explained the restaurant left The Cleveland Group gift card program. I showed him the pamphlet that states the restaurants name. He would not honor the gift cards. I will not be returning to the restaurant.
Flour is a favorite restaurant of ours when we are back "home" after retiring to SC.
Our entire family loves going there, even our 3 year old grandson. It is such a special place and the food is amazing! I especially like the fact you can order smaller portions, or share a pizza . There is something for everyone!
We were here for Christmas Eve - sold out reservations, so they knew how many people they would have in the restaurant. The food was good and we had a nice table in the corner, but the service was bad. The waitress was friendly enough, but it felt like we were rushed. We ordered wine and an appetizer and our appetizer came before the wine - we had to wait a while to get it. She did not come back to check on us after the food was delivered; when she finally came back asking if we wanted boxes I had to ask for more ice water and a dessert menu. She only brought water for me, never asked if my mom wanted a refill. When you know it's going to be a busy night, have enough staff there to provide better service to someone paying over $125 for a meal for two. The food was good, so I'd still recommend it - maybe not on a holiday.
Food was great. My husband and I had different pizzas and both were outstanding. Our waitress on the other hand: when I asked to substitute mushrooms instead of meat on the pizza she flat out said No. I asked her to please ask the chef which she begrudgingly did and of course they could. She never asked if I'd like more coffee. She snatched away the bread plates without asking if we were through. She was curt the whole time. It was XMas eve so we did give her 20%. We overheard other wait staff who were very pleasant so we just picked the short straw.
Celebration with eight friends! The entire experience was fantastic. We were seated right on time. We had a very attentive server. The food and drinks were superlative. Even around the holidays! We were really impressed and well taken care of. Thanks for a memorable night!
I must tell you I am a strong supporter of flout.
This visit was my staff's Christmas lunch.
The restaurant was NOT crowded at all and service was most inadequate.
As a parent of children who've worked in food services, I am very supportive of the industry and always compensate more than generously.
What I felt was in very poor form, however was a lunch that was taken home.
The order was the tagliatelle with bolognese. On asking the server to box it, the request was made to add a bit of sauce to it.
On opening it later at home, a totally different sauce( similar to something in a jar) was poured all over the pasta.
Surprisingly, Flour was was bustling on a Sunday evening. Service was attentive, cocktails were great. Both the scallops and the salmon entrees were very nicely done, flavorful and well proportioned. Big disappointment was the spaghetti entree. Meatballs were ok but the pasta was dry, heavy and there was not much flavor to the sauce. Tasted like leftovers. We'll be back but not for pasta.
Fun spot for happy hour and dinner with friends. However, be prepared to spend more than anticipated when dining with a group. Pizza very average, apps and entree potions are less than expected. Strength is location and people watching.
Great appetizer selection - big A$$ meatball and grilled octopus were delicious. The Italian Wedding soup left us wondering if it was basically a salad with broth - it seems like all the ingredients are kept separately and then thrown into the broth when customer places the order, so the soup wasn't 'integrated' at all.
