Wonderful neighborhood spot with consistently good food and service.
Excellent NY Steak Frites! Wine list also very good.
Florio is such a warm and inviting place to meet with friends. The trattoria style of the interior makes it a fun place to be. All of the food was delicious- the crudo, the salads, the pasta, the fish and the meats were all outstanding as we sampled food from each others’ orders. There is definitely something delicious for everyone.
There is so much to like about Florio, but none of it involves the food. The personnel are very nice. The decor and ambience are wonderful. The food as it appears on the menu sounds so good, but the execution and ingredients are subpar. Caprese salad, for example, doesn't have truly fresh mozzarella. The steaks are cheap cuts. Many corners are cut. If we could blame it on Covid I would, but the same problem existed before Covid. We returned on the hope that something might have changed for the better, but we were not rewarded. We know restaurants are struggling to survive and we want to help them, but until and unless this restaurant can see fit to use higher quality ingredients, we cannot return.
After a year and a half, it was a joy to return to Florio. It was busy and energetic. The food was really extra good. The Conchinita and the Rigatoni were both outstanding. And don't forget the Olive Oil Cake for dessert. All paired well with a fine Chianti.
Our meal at Florio was good and staff was pleasant. We came back to this spot for our anniversary after our initial visit many years back and found it completely unchanged. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, but depending on what you’re looking for, it’s definitely an old-school kind of place (if not a bit dated) in regards to the menu and presentation. I regretted not getting the steak frites; the cacio e pepe was a tad bland, but the squid ink pasta and broccolini were both solid. If you are still a bit skittish of crowded places after being in isolation for so long, keep in mind that restaurants in San Francisco are now fully open, and that there are no restrictions on capacity. By the time we finished our dinner, the place was absolutely packed, and there isn’t much room between tables. They do have outdoor seating in their parklet but summer evenings are quite cold in SF so dress accordingly.
A very satisfying meal. Pleasant atmosphere, good service.
Not a whole lot to recommend here. Standard bistro fare with small portions, the charcuterie and cheese board was tiny, the steaks were made correctly and according to the diners' tastes, decent fries and grilled bread, quaffable wines. It's not an especially good value, but a cozy place to dine with friends.
Once again, Florio delivers. We had the roasted chicken and the steak (NY) frites + Caesar salad. Just delicious and great service to boot!
Cute spot. Paid $20 for pasta that was not handmade. For that price point it really should have been fresh pasta.
Great place to have amazing food. Friendly and fast service.

It’s always great and fun and yummy to be there.
Excellent food, great ambiance and overall experience.
Love this wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Food and atmosphere always great.
The food and service were both outstanding. Florio is classic italian that never disappoints
Excellent dining outdoors in the private booths in the parklet with heaters.
Great service and food. Portions are not large.
Overall a wonderful experience.
Really enjoyed sitting outside. Food and service were great
I have missed Florio and am happy to see that they survived the pandemic. The menu has changed and seems more world influenced with Mexican and Italian added to the menu. The food is still good and I will be back for more.
Great place to go on a date. dim lit and low-key atmosphere, super nice staff, easy menu, can't go wrong.
A new place for us and a delight.
Wonderful ambiance with terrific service and very good food. Not a big menu but enough choice
And a v inviting bar.
Excellent steak and frites! Our waiter Juan was great and gave great suggestions.
Great ambience : super caring service and the best burger ever .. plus cocktails of perfection .
Love this place. We’re from Texas, our daughter has a shop right down the street. We never fail to come when we’re there. Never disappoints.
We love the authenticity & consistency of Florio.
A neighborhood gem as well as fun date night or special occasion spot. So glad they’ve made it through Covid shut down struggles. Try it. You’ll love it!
PS. The French fries are terrific!
great euro vibe. Good safety standards in place, glad we got a table!
Our waiter Juan was awesome. Without him it would have been a pretty lousy experience. Manager and hostess were completely void of personality, hospitality, or even general politeness. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Again, thank you Juan for saving the evening.
The food was surprisingly delicious! We had the burrata, brown butter fish, and bucatini. It was a little chilly out so we didn't stay as long as we would have for drinks after dinner. Will definitely be back :)
We sat indoors and found the restaurant to have Excellent food, ambience, and service. It was also quiet, romantic and appropriately priced.
Mother’s day dinner. Great menu, ambiance, and service. A go-to neighborhood spot.
Nice dinner in park let. Attentive service and delicious food well prepared.
Like before Covid-19 times, I maintain that you still have the best Bouillabaisse in town!
Congrats for keeping the quality level high.
Many thanks -
Florio is one our favorite places to dine. Service is consistently high quality. Food is always delicious!
A wonderfully consistent menu, great service, with a full bar and great wine list. I have been enjoying meals at Florio for years. They never disappoint even with the added job of outdoor dinning. My favorite neighborhood restaurant.
Great food, charming service, accommodated our outdoor seating. A very nice experience.
I been dining at Florio for decades. It is one of my favorite spots with consistently excellent food. I am happy they have survived the Pandemic but I miss the ole cozy atmosphere necessitated by Covid restrictions. Happy to be at their table again.
Amazing food, great value, awesome service, good ambience
Very nice place..:food was exceptional...
