Florentine's Grill Ratings and Reviews
Florentine's is our go to Restaurant for weekend dinners. We normally bring family and friends but this last visit was just my wife and myself. The service is outstanding. We normally are attended by Silvano but all the servers are great. We have never had a bad dish here.
The food is always temperature hot and tasty. The pasta is always prepared properly and not overcooked. The Rib Eye Steak, my favorite is large and great tasting.
I guess that you can tell that I like this place.
Try it and you would be hooked.
Our server was new, a little nervous, but very attentive and provided excellent service. The food was good. But, the garlic mashed potatoes seemed processed or pureed. The vegetables were not overcooked. The veal piccata was very good and a nice portion.
I remembered Florentine's from the early 2000s and took business associates with me for dinner. The restaurant was not as well maintained as I remembered and mostly empty (Monday @ 6:30 pm). Prices were reasonable.
We just went to the Florentine Grill last Sunday for Mother's Day. I waited too long to make a reservation so all my usual spots were booked. I was able to get a reservation at the Florentine Grill which is in the area that my son lives. We all were very pleased with our meals. I got the veal piccota and it was excellent. I'm originally from the east coast and have had good veal piccota so I was very pleasantly surprised that it was so good and very reasonably priced at $17.99. My husband and son both got burgers and they said they were very good. They looked good. The atmosphere could be better. The booth we were in had a slit in the seat and the ladies restroom was dark and very old. Based on the food alone, I would go back. I would not recommend this restaurant for a special occasion that you would like a nice atmosphere but I do recommend it based on the quality of the food and price.
Went out to eat with a friend and this place was perfect. Has both man favorite dishes as well as go-to restaurant favorite for the non-adventure guest. We had drinks along with our meals and they were delicious. Quiet atmosphere was great for talking and enjoying ourselves. No rush to leave. I look forward to coming here again.
A great an friendly atmosphere with well thought out and prepared meals at a reasonable price. Very much enjoyed the Valentines meal pairings as well as the cost per person. Nice to finally find a place not trying to take advantage of a special occasion. Joe Florentine is a pleasure to talk to as he makes the rounds. Classy Joint!!!
Was fun. This is casual dining but the 'daily special' menu had a great selection. Chicken Marsala was cooked very well. Prices are excellent as well. Wine list is small but has good well thought selections. It is an open floor atmosphere that can be somewhat noisy when the bar has sporting events on TVs. So not a romantic data atmosphere unless he/she is into an active scene. Very well prepared food.
We found Florentine's online when we were looking for a place to eat before a play at the Maverick Theater. After reviewing the menu, we decided to give it a try. They offer happy hour specials every day from 4-9PM. That alone is a reason to go! They had some great appetizers so we opted for several of the small plates instead of dinner. We enjoyed the bacon-wrapped jalapenos and the habanero mango meatballs the most. Will definitely come back!
Arrived approximately 20 minutes before reservation time and we're seated immediately.
Service was very good. Recommend the Razzleberry Lemonades. Also, chicken skewers and the lobster mac were very good. I had one of the evening specials . . . veal scallopini(?). The veal was a bit overcooked and tough. However, the sauce was excellent. My friend had the chicken pesto penne -- pesto was overpowering.
Was over a barrel on an unexpected 9-person dinner party on X-mas eve. Used Open Table and found Florentine Grill. Really worked out well. It was less expensive than I had anticipated and everyone enjoyed their dishes. From burgers to filet, the food was quite well done. Appetizers... spinach dip was great, but ceviche was just so-so. Service was a little spotty as it WAS Christmas eve, but Josh did well. There seemed to be two other businesses attached, Tuscany Club and Palapa...no idea what these were. Maybe I'll check them out next time.
We had an early dinner reservation. Seated on time. Waiter was very attentive. Excellent Lobster Mac-n-Cheese appetizer and Spinach/Cheese dip & chps appetizer. Wedge salad was great and a generouse portion. The Avacodo burger was great. Generouse portions of food. Very reasonable prices.
We arrived 15 minutes before the reservation. A sign on the window said it opened at 11:30 AM. The time was 11:45 AM. The restaurant was empty, except for someone sweeping the floor. I knocked on the window. A man opened the door and said very rudely that they are closed! I said we had a reservation at 12:00. He said, they will be open at 12:00. We waited until 12:00. The restaurant never opened! We left and found a much better place down the street! We will NEVER go back again! I recommend that this place be boycotted!
We have gone here several times and each time I am pleased with the dish I ordered. THe food is pretty darn god and service is also good. It is part of the downtown Fullerton scene so can be quiet early and a hot spot later in teh evening. Also ahve multiple TVs for the sports fan but doesn't interfere with a nice dinner. Really nice date night for us and the food keeps edging up in my mind.
I went to Florentine's Grill to celebrate a friend's birthday. We were given a booth with some seeming. Our waitress, Marissa, was amazing! She truly went the extra mile. The food, service, dessert, and overall experience will be remembered for a long time.
We chose this based on the varied menu. We had a fantastic experience. The mac n cheese and wings we had for appetizers were excellent. The choices for surf and turf we fun and we had the ribs and shrimp. Ribs were great; shrimp was ok. The pork chops were huge, juicy, flavorful. The sides were very good. The burger was delicious. We had more food than we ever imagined so no room for dessert. The owner is very friendly and chatted with us for quite a while. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and look forward to bringing friends here.
We love the location and ambience of Florentine's. We were greeted by the owner Joe Florentine and he made sure we had everything we needed. The waitress was friendly and accomodating and we really enjoyed the foord. Generous portions and a glass of wine seemed like 2 glassed. Highly reccommend this restaurant hotspot!
There was a private party in the main dining room, so we had to eat at the bar next door. We had never been there before, so we don't know what the bar is like on a typical night. Perhaps because it was a rainy night, not a lot of bar traffic? Maybe that was a good thing because it was quiet, the service was very attentive, and the food was great. We will definitely go back again.
Menu has changed from our last visit; somewhat limited now. Disappointed in house wine selections; did not feel comfortable requesting replacement. Salad was nothing special and there is an additional charge for rolls or bread which was served after our salads were eaten. Entrees were hot and tasty.
