   Great food Service was excellent Celebrated our Wedding Anniversary and they made us feel special through out the evening. Our table was near the bar and was sometimes a bit noisy but it didn’t take away from our everything else we enjoyed about the restaurant.

   My first dining experience here was Everything I look for in a restaurant: ambience, great service, great food and easy to get to. I love art deco style restaurants so terribly sad to see this gem go. I so wished I had gotten here sooner. Somehow it just fell off my radar. I LOVE a good burger and this was one of the best. We started with the Aaron Cheeni and the cheese platter. Both a little small for four but definitely adequate. The other three ordered the pork loin and of course I ordered the burger. We ordered the last bottle of Textbook Cabernet and it was terrific. Our waitress was charming, personable, beautiful and a great server too! So glad we got in here finally, but wish The restaurant had more time.

   The food here is consistently very good and interesting. The service is efficient and friendly. Like many fans, I'm very disappointed that they will be closing on November 10 but am hopeful that the new owner will carry forward the style, quality and uniqueness of this gem.

   Enjoyed one last meal before one of our favorite downtown oakland restaurants closes in early November. Great food, creative cocktails and excellent service always.
