Flight Restaurant & Wine Bar - Memphis Ratings and Reviews
This was an awesome place for brunch!!! We went here right before our show at the Orpheum. The waitress and valet were so incredibly kind and considerate. They weren’t even open yet and allowed us to come in and get settled. Food was excellent! The smoked salmon appetizer is a must!
Not a good weekend option unless you get there early enough to beat the crowds - service and food presentation fall apart once it gets busy and it's hard to move around the downstairs once it fills up. Concept is still fabulous though - no other restaurant like it that I know of w/ respect to tasting multiple dishes.
The best restaurant I have been too. We love this place. The food is phenomenal and the service is spot on. This restaurant has it all. Great food and great wine to pair with it. We will continue to eat here. From left to right: Bison with cheese risotto, Duck breast with sweet potato, and sea scallops with pureed potatoes. Mind blowing good! Its our number 1 spot!
We always enjoy spending our date nights at Flight. The food is always good and if you don't like what is on a flight, you can pick and choose between flights. The atmosphere is romantic and the staff goes out of their way to ensure you are well taken care of. We love Flight.
Made reservation over 2 weeks in advance and was very disappointed when we were sat on the outdoor patio. It was completely enclosed, but we sat at patio furniture. Not what you are expecting when you make a reservation at a restruatnr or This type. Our server was over ambitious and made it very difficult to enjoy any conversation. The table was so small our appetizers did not fit on the table and it too multiple server to try an arrange he plates to fit. Bar service was extremely slow and we were charged for a more expensive brand of wine than we actually ordered. The food was good, but the overall experience was disappointing, especially the patio furniture.
It was my Birthday dinner and everything was perfect, from our lovely table overlooking the dining room to our awesome waiter. We had the salad flight, the fish flight which was red snapper, grouper and halibut with an amazing mushroom risotto and "butcher's" flights which was pork tenderloin, veal scallopini and succulent lamb chops. All delicious!
Ever have trouble deciding between the steak and the fish? At flight you don’t have to! We were traveling through Memphis an enjoyed it so much we went back for our second night! Had a flight of soup, a flight of salad, a flight of meat dishes, in addition to flights of wine. My wife loved the chicken and waffles and all of the small plates (combined into flights) were terrific. Great service and super food. Definitely on our must visit list for Memphis.
We made reservations and were immediately seated upon arrival of about 10 minutes early. We had a table for two with a window view up stairs which was perfect. Our server Brandon was absolutely one of the best, very friendly, respectful and knowledgeable of the menu and pairing options. The food was cooked spot on. The pairings of sides seemed unconventional and were superb in taste. Overall it was a magnificent evening of dining in a very nice establishment. I would recommend them with no regrets.
This was a Valentines Day dinner for my wife and me. Also since it was our first time to eat here, the staff was very good at explaining the menu and helped with finding a seat to our liking. The service was very good with the exception of our food being not quite hot. I would definitely go back.
This place BLEW UP our based-on-absolutely-nothing preconceived notion that Memphis dining=BBQ.
Inviting organic design hits the mark in creating an atmosphere of comfort and elegance. Service was impeccable on a very busy night. The bar scene is clearly a destination for upscale locals.
But we came for the food, and it was GREAT. The menu is creatively sourced, entrée portions are available in small or regular portions, or choose one of the many “Flights”…chef’s choice of three on the same plate. Ditto for appetizers (including soups). Ditto for desserts. DITTO FOR
THE WINES. Best wine list we’ve seen in a long while; thoughtfully curated, wide-ranging and well-priced. Priced to enjoy, not priced to impress. How refreshing. Beautifully plated dishes and old- school service of several wait staff bringing all diners their food simultaneously.
This is not just a meal, so don’t rush. Flight provides a creative and unique dining experience that is as delicious as it is memorable.
In Memphis for only one night & checked Open Table for available restaurant options near our hotel. What luck to discover Flight Restaurant and Bar! Didn’t realize Memphis was an hour earlier time wise and we were famished, so we took a chance showing up an hour early for our reservation. We were seated immediately. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, answered our questions and made a couple of helpful suggestions. We split the “Ocean Flight” (bbq shrimp, a crab cake, and lobster ravioli). My dinner companion had the “small plate” group entree, and I had the same size snapper entree. Absolutely everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Can’t say enough good things about the food here! The drinks were also impressive. Scotch selection is varied and first rate. My dirty martini was ice cold, the way it should be, but all too often is not. Our experience was so good that we returned a second time later that evening (after the theatre) to sample the deserts and have another drink. The deserts were as delightful as our meal. We closed the place that night! We’ll definitely be back next time we are in Memphis! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
