Came back for the Japanese fried chicken with buns, was good, slightly greasy but crispy and flavoured well. Sushi was pretty average, spicy tuna was good. Their famous s’mores were good fun also! Good selection of yummy drinks.
Flesh & Buns is probably my favourite restaurant in London, love the design of place and the service is always great. The food is absolutely incredible, the Korean wings and Japanese fried chicken are mouth-watering highlights and the beef hot stone rice is to die for ! Already counting down the days until we can go again !
Food is absolutely delicious, this was my third time going and I would go back again and again. Really nice atmosphere also.
We three friends went to Flesh & Buns for Sunday Brunch and added bottomless Prosecco to celebrate a special birthday. The food was amazing, our waitress explained what everything on the menu was and that it would be served as it was ready so that it was all freshly cooked. Our glasses were kept topped up with Prosecco and we were well looked after. As it was not extremely busy we were not hurried out and we felt very comfortable chatting over a herbal tea until we were ready to leave. I will certainly go back again.
The food was good, but quite small portions comparing to the price. I had the smallest ever orange juice glass... We sat literally squeezed in between other people at a long table. I understand space is scarce in London, but they could have left a bit more space in between plates...I didn’t particularly enjoy listening to everybody’s conversations and having to keep my elbows close to my body at all times due to the lack of space.
Myself and my partner chose this as we wanted some good Japanese food. Very good quality food and enjoyed the bao buns. The seating, on a bench, was interesting but we didn’t mind. Some minor pauses in service but often had our drinks topped up and staff were very polite. Would recommend.
Food is usually great, unfortunately this time the broccoli and the salmon were burnt, and the edamame we ordered didn't arrive with appetizers, and when we notified the staff they brought it while we were in the middle of our main dishes. Service is usually slow, but staff is always very friendly. Would come again:)
Seating arrangements awful. Felt like we were eating squished on the central line during rush hour.
Ceviche had little to none fish.
Had to send piglet belly back as it has a awful smell and taste, made us both slightly queasy. Both of us being chefs understand not everyone may like every dish but it also means we understand when a dish is not quite right, and this wasn’t.
Good food but poor service. We went as a group of five for a nice meal out on a Friday and were extremely disappointed. Very rude staff and we constantly felt like we were being rushed out the door. Wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend.
Incredible food! Much better than some
Of the high end, more expensive Asian restaurants I’ve been to.
Food was great and the service was really good ... will definitely go there again !
Really good food. Very sweet staff, although the pace is a bit slow.
The food was interesting and delicious, in an atmospheric environment. The service was prompt but not invasive.
Really nice restaurant, good service, and the bill comes in at at a reasonable price.
We went on a Sunday night, and were quite late. Ended up being the last two in there, but didn't feel rushed.
We had 5 x dim sum, 1 bao to share, 2 desserts, 3 cocktails, and 2 ciders, and it came in at c.£120 with service charge.
The Kinako Donuts are worth going on their own.
Fun and upbeat.
Could be more generous with condiments and sauces.
Service fast, but cleared plates away too quickly.
Tables far too close to each other.
Service was very slow
Great little place for good food without a stuffy setting.
Service was great, environment itself too, and we really enjoyed food. I would recommend this place.
Amazing food! It was quite crowded so it took us some time to get service
Great service, thank you!
Magnifica comida, excelente localización y magnifico servicio.
Food was average, got some chewy fatty beef which was meant to be wagyu. The wings rescued the experience. Extremely noisy and they sat us at a long table with other people on each side right next to us. The noise level got so high we had to shout at each other over the table. Not ideal and wouldn’t go back. Maybe it’s better outside of evening times.
Great experience - the waitress was lovely and provided excellent friendly service. Food was delish! Thanks everyone.
The buns are average.
Delicious food and great atmosphere. Cocktails are delicious too!
Great food and service but the tables are too close together so you can't have a conversation without the tables next to you hearing.
Delicious food for avrage price. Great service and good portion sizes.
My new favourite restaurant!
Really good place, however you can feel slightly squashed with so many tables. However the the people that work there are very friendly.
Just a wonderful experience
I took my client and her family before theatre for dinner
We let them know we need to leave at a certain time as soon as we stepped in but they couldn’t bring the dessert platter (The XL is huge btw) for a long time waiting for the fondant. They could have taken the liberty to follow up with it when it’s ready and bring the platter early - they just couldn’t even though I suggested not waiting for fondant. We had no time to eat desert but they charged us any way. Not nice.
Great overall experience! The Korean fried chicken wings are just amazing.
Whenever I am up in London, my first stop is Flesh and Buns.
They never fail on service and the mouthwatering food.
I always have the Korean chicken wings and I am never disappointed.
The service is top class.
One of the waitresses were very nice and helpful. She offered to walk us through the menu and was regularly making sure we are looked after. The rest of the staff looked like they were new starters, maybe a bit more training on fine dining could help. The food was rather disappointing. I love Japanese food, but the one served was very mediocre. Just to mention the ceviche and the salmon sashimi. 95% of the seafood ceviche was vegetables and the placement of the sashimi was ridiculous. Two poor slices were tucked in the corner of the plate and the majority of the plate was empty. It felt like we were given some leftovers. Unfortunately, only the prices were 4-5 star, the quality however was barely making it to 3. Don’t think we will go back
There should be options on table preferences when booking online. My booking was for an anniversary dinner and didn't realise that you will have to sit closely next to strangers on the same table which made it hard to hear my partner on the other side because the table is so wide wasn't that enjoyable.
Food and service was great.
We arrived early, but they managed to accommodate us and gives a table straight away. Food was very good, and service quick enough considering they were packed. There's plenty of dishes in the menu for people who are not great fans of sushi (like myself)
Despite the food being exceptional it was a bit of a sad experience, really tried to inspire some friendliness in the staff with smiles and a bit of chat but nothing we could do would incite a smile. We were then rushed off the table for another party which felt odd considering we were a big table and had a hefty cheque by the time we paid up.
Quality of the food was terrible
Fantastic restaurant, I wasn’t sure what to expect with the buns but they were amazing. The atmosphere was fantastic and the staff were great.
Amazing place definitely recommend:)
Great! Food and service were fab
