Fleming's Steakhouse - Winter Park Ratings and Reviews
It's always a wonderful dining experience at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar in Winter Park. Beckie Gaines the Operating Partner came over and made sure we were having a great meal and told us about their upcoming Thanksgiving Dinner service. Jarrett our waiter was wonderful!
Fleming's is one of my favorite "go to" restaurants, and I dine with them often. Usually they do everything right, but this time I was disappointed.
Usually the noise level is tolerable and it is easy to carry on a conversation. During this visit the noise level was very high, only made worse by noise, not music, coming from the audio system.
The waiter must have been new. when he removed the extra place settings from the table he removed the wrong pieces. Service was just not up to the level usually delivered. No big deal, but not what is expected at Flemming's
Entree was good, but the loaded baked potato was almost cold. Barely melted the butter, and definitely couldn't melt cheese.
I did not like the fact that they did not cook my food to the temp that I requested. Then did not have the decency to offer an apology for their screw up. It was treated as if I told them to bring me a raw pork chop, then changed my mind. Fix your mistakes but most importantly, apologize, especially when it spoils someone's dining experience.
For a birthday celebration, Flemings was a phenomenal restaurant experience. The ambiance was very nice, and our waiter, Jason, was amazing. Their steak was cooked perfectly, the french onion soup was the best we've ever had. The lobster tempura was somewhat under cooked. The manager offered to replace it with another or something else on the menu, or take it off the bill. Their aim was to please. Overall, the dining experience was amazing, and I would highly recommend Flemings as a special place to celebrate.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Our waiter wasn’t the best but the manager made up for it. Salads were thoroughly enjoyable with fresh, crisp veggies and evenly dressed. Mac and cheese was elevated and delish with just a lil kick of spice. Steak is fantastic steak.
Food was great but service and meal prep less than expected here. We’ve been to Fleming’s for other occasions and the food has always been amazing and still is. We had a reservation at 7:30 but still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Our server needed improvement. We ordered wine and it took a long time for it to come and what’s not exactly what I ordered. My husband asked for his vegetable as an appetizer but they brought it with the entree. The waiter cleared the bread plate before I was done without asking. Our steaks were cooked to perfection but took an hour to come out after we ordered. They compensated by bringing us french fries (would rather have had my steak on time).
Atmosphere and food were both excellent. The fillet mignon was prepared as ordered (medium rare) and very flavorful and tender. The pace of the Neal was perfect and we did not feel rushed. The only negative comment we have is that our server tried to push the most expensive items on the menu. She greeted us immediately and began telling us what items she liked. All three were the highest-priced items. She left the table and returned within five minutes and again, told us how great those items were. When she returned to take our order, she asked us if we were going to take her recommendation of one or two of these items. When we replied, “no”, she rolled her bottom lip under and looked disappointed.
Then, after we just started eating (within a few minutes of receiving our food) she returned and began to push the lava cake, explaining how it’s made and how delicious it is. She said she had to put the order in soon in order for us to get it on time. We told her we were not having dessert but as we were finishing up our meal, she once again told us we were missing out in the delicious lava cake and asked if we changed our minds. This “hard-selling” of items from the menu is extremely annoying and should be discontinued immediately.
This is my favorite restaurant! The food is delicious! I’m working my way through the menu and have enjoyed every dish! From appetizers to dessert, truly amazing! The Filet, pork chops, lamb and ahi tuna have been prepared perfectly! Treat yourself and visit Flemings. From the staff to the ambiance to the food, each leaves a memory!
We celebrated our Anniversary with a delicious meal. I had the special, a lobster tail and filet; my husband had a huge bone in rib eye. Both were great. The server and manager acknowledged our special occasion without the loud singing and fanfare. Sent us home with a box of chocolate truffles and a rose. Perfect night!
The food was great. We were disappointed that we had to ask for the Magical Dining menu. It took forever to get my salad. Service was good but our server had to be reminded by another employee to get us food. They wanted to give us a terrible table in the middle of the restaurant and we had to ask for a booth.
