Fleming's Steakhouse - West Hartford Ratings and Reviews
Steak is better during normal evenings. My fiancé steak and mine were mixed up. Also we didn’t get a table decoration like every other table had. Besides that it was fine. I probably won’t go there for another holiday but I will for a non holiday evening when the staff is more diligent.
This was our first time at Fleming’s. The experience was excellent. Our waiter Zach was over the top and attentive. The dinner was cooked to perfection. The drinks were delicious. We also met the manager Michael. He was very pleasant. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. I will be returning very soon.
My wife and I went back for the first time following our wedding in July. The staff was extremely courteous and the food was outstanding. Obviously, the price is higher than your normal restaurant but the food quality is about as good as it gets, this steak house is real deal. I highly recommend heading over to Fleming’s for a top notch meal.
Granted the restaurant was busy. Quite a few 10 tops near us, but the service, although polite was very slow. Quite frankly the shrimp cocktail was not very fresh at all, then it took 80 minutes to get entrees. My wife and I had the same prime sirloins, hers was hot with butter freshly applied and mine was overcooked and dry.
We frequently buy prime steaks from Lobels in NY. No comparison. We think you compare more closely to Outback at 4 times the cost. $400.00 for 3 people with a $135.00 bottle of wine.
Food and Service excellent. Not cheap, but well worth it. Kona crusted ribeye was cooked to perfection, as was the Prime Rib.
There was a loud, noisy large group in the room we were in(>16 people) doing shots, yelling, partying loudly, and generally decreasing the ambiance of an otherwise very enjoyable meal. Management made no obvious effort to reign them in. This is the only reason for the less than the 5-star rating in all categories.
It was a busy night in the restaurant, but our waiter took 30 minutes to bring us bread.
After his initial greeting, he disappeared until I flagged him over...not good, when
your spending $300 on a meal! The prime rib was very fatty and I felt sick the next day.
Don't think we will be returning.
Baby second glass of wine that I had ordered had somebody else's lips and dirtying streaks coming down the side of it I had to bring it to my waitress' attention but should have never been sent to me to begin with nor comped off my meal since I was grossed out.
My husband and I celebrated our birthdays at Fleming's. We had an excellent waiter, Zack, and the young man who delivered our food, Dan, was also excellent. The manager stopped by our table, also. I had a delicious sea bass, and my husband had a 20 ounce steak, perfectly prepared. The asparagus that we shared was large enough that we took some home. Our dessert, chocolate lava cake served with ice cream and chantilly cream, was delightful. Our dining experience was excellent. However, excellence can be very expensive.
All 5 filets were overcooked. When asked for medium, we were all given well done. It still tasted great, but it was not cooked to our liking. Service was FANTASTIC though. Kerry in West Hartford was amazing and she was more than welcome to join us at the table.
We had a spectacular meal here on Saturday evening. We made a reservation for 7:30, but were running behind, so we called to say we were going to be arriving closer to 7:45. Well, we didn't get seated until well after 8. It was extremely busy, so it's not surprising that we probably lost our original table. However, the food was outstanding, albeit a tad on the pricier side. The sea bass was the best I've ever had. I just wish there was more of it! The portions are really small compared to some other, high-end restaurants.
The service and the food at Fleming’s is excellent. It’s a little pricey, but it was our anniversary so we didn’t mind. We both had steak which was superb and Fleming’s potatoes which were very good. The waitstaff was attentive but not intrusive. Overall a great experience.
