Fleming's Steakhouse - West Hartford Ratings and Reviews
Baby second glass of wine that I had ordered had somebody else's lips and dirtying streaks coming down the side of it I had to bring it to my waitress' attention but should have never been sent to me to begin with nor comped off my meal since I was grossed out.
My husband and I celebrated our birthdays at Fleming's. We had an excellent waiter, Zack, and the young man who delivered our food, Dan, was also excellent. The manager stopped by our table, also. I had a delicious sea bass, and my husband had a 20 ounce steak, perfectly prepared. The asparagus that we shared was large enough that we took some home. Our dessert, chocolate lava cake served with ice cream and chantilly cream, was delightful. Our dining experience was excellent. However, excellence can be very expensive.
All 5 filets were overcooked. When asked for medium, we were all given well done. It still tasted great, but it was not cooked to our liking. Service was FANTASTIC though. Kerry in West Hartford was amazing and she was more than welcome to join us at the table.
We had a spectacular meal here on Saturday evening. We made a reservation for 7:30, but were running behind, so we called to say we were going to be arriving closer to 7:45. Well, we didn't get seated until well after 8. It was extremely busy, so it's not surprising that we probably lost our original table. However, the food was outstanding, albeit a tad on the pricier side. The sea bass was the best I've ever had. I just wish there was more of it! The portions are really small compared to some other, high-end restaurants.
The service and the food at Fleming’s is excellent. It’s a little pricey, but it was our anniversary so we didn’t mind. We both had steak which was superb and Fleming’s potatoes which were very good. The waitstaff was attentive but not intrusive. Overall a great experience.
We were pleasantly treated warmly greeted and the food was exceptional! Our wait time for a well done steak took a little longer than expected. The chef made a personal appearance was apologetic and comped our meal The wait was well worth it! The service was 5 star
The service was awful, slow, felt forgotten! Expensive won't go back anytime soon, hate al a crate menus,. We sat forever once we sat down and in between courses took forever.
Way to many other choices in blue back square and west Hartford center to waste time and money at Flemings!
We had a problem getting our entrees. The wait was unbearable, however, the staff apologized profusely and without a word from us, gave us a credit towards our bill. When the food did arrive, it was outstanding. The staff diffused a bad experience and made it into a good one! They couldn't have been nicer. I will be back.
We have been to Flemings several times. Each evening, we are assured the table is our's for the evening. You never feel rushed. We spent 3 1/2 hours talking with our friends while enjoying each part of the meal to the fullest. We love the steaks, which are delicious and tender, and also the may other options available for non-beef on entrees. Our server, Tony, was terrific, as were all the wait staff and servers. It's a special place.
Attended during Hartford's restaurant week and it was very good value. Portions were smaller but the package was very appropriate. Restaurant is in a good location. Lighting was very dim, hard to read menu. The food overall was very good but at restaurant week pricing. If ordering off the standard menu, other restaurants such as J. Gilberts in Glastonbury is a better everyday value. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend Flemings for any occasion if budget is not a concern.
Fleming's is just so I solid and strong they never let us down. Everyone had big steaks and everyone oohed and aahed how good theirs were. The appetizers were unique and the sides lived up to all expectations. Their molten lava cake is the best you will find.
They probably have the most attentive wait staff in West Hartford.
We wanted a steak dinner and Flemings got good reviews and was nearby. The service was attentive. Our bone in fillets were perfectly cooked however they could have gone a little lighter on the spices. Sides were also well cooked. We did not have wine or dessert.
Comfortable dining experience! The service and the staff were great - attentive not intrusive. Our table of 3 all had the steak special that evening which was a filet and lobster tail. The lobster tail was tender and tasty. The steak filet was not up to my expectations. For the price, it should have been more tender and juicy. Salads and desserts were very good. Nice dining experience!
From the second we walked in the door the staff treated us like we were the only people in the restaurant. We were celebrating our anniversary and there was a card signed by the entire staff on the table when we arrived and a gift of chocolate truffles. From there the service lived up to those expectations, and the food was even better. The steaks were perfectly cooked, the wine tasty, and the sides filling. Completely worth the money.
I took my team here for a business dinner, 11 of us, and we've eaten here before and has been very good. I am not sure what happened since I've been there last but this place has crashed and burned. It was embarrassing that I had a table of business partners with me and we had to wait over an hour for our meals. When we finally got meals, they were cold, improper temperature on the steaks and the sea bass was inedible. We had to send back meals which led to us staying there much longer while my peers at the table were starving and tired. The only positive was our server, she was amazing and did as much damage control as she could. What was further disappointing was that the manager didn't come over at all! For the prices this place charges it should be perfect! Spent over $1,200 and not one apology from management. Save your money and go elsewhere.
