Outstanding service and food
Awesome dinner especially with our waitress K, who’s been there for 7 years and made great recommendations!
Great service. It was our twins' 18th birthday. They gave each of the two a card wet-signed by all the staff, and a complimentary box of very high quality truffles.
Steak was very good. The creamed spinach and the mushrooms were delicious. The calamari was more sweet than spicy, but was OK. The service was attentive, but I do not like it when "managers" come by to the tables during meals to interrupt and inquire if things are OK. I was in the middle of a serious conversation with my friend, and we were interrupted several times, and the one that felt most awkward and out of place, was the manager. I told our very kind server that if it would be ok, I would call her over if we needed her and she was quite courteous and obliged.
Food was okay, nothing special. Drink disappointing, the rosemary in my drink was old and the drink was cloudy. Never seen a vodka tonic cloudy.
Great food, service and ambience. Terrific evening.
Waiter totally forgot to bring our appetizer course and never
poured the wine. Too busy. Too many young inexperienced employees
Just not worth the price
Celebrating a friends birthday and exceptional service and nice touches , card and little box for her
Great service and food as always!
Flemings is a great steak house experience in Walnut Creek. A clear cut above Ruth's Chris, which is a joke in Walnut Creek. Try the spicy Calamari appetizer! The sides are excellent, the meats were perfectly prepared, and the salmon my wife had was stellar. All Good.
Flemings used to be the alternative steak house with grest sauces and sides as part of your plate. Looks like they have decided to redefine themselves as Ruth Chris. Stesk is still good but now you get a big white plate with only a steak, no culinary sauces and you want a sude you get another white dish with a huge side. I will have to refiscover Forbes Mill in Danville.
The service is second to none, and the quality of food is consistently excellent. Cannot wait to return.
This was the WORST service we’ve ever had and it really made the whole experience awful. We had a large party of seven people and according to the receipt, the server was Rocio Z.
In addition to the fact that she was never around, salad was ordered with avocado. She never came back and told us that there was no avocado. Instead, we just got a salad that did not have the avocado requested. She came back after to say that there was no avocado. At that point, there was no sending the salad back.
Then, the berry dessert was attempted to be ordered by more than one person. It was asked which berries were in the desert. She stated “it’s a bowl of only blueberries“. The individuals wanted mixed berries. When my order of mixed berries came, they were very disappointed.
To add insult to injury, she never told us that the cake takes 20 minutes to make. If that’s the case, the desert should’ve been offered to us during the meal. Instead, we sat there with dessert menus for almost 20 minutes and she never took the order. Then she took the order with a horrible attitude and the bad service continued. We sat for 25 to 30 minutes before our dessert came out. The cake was actually awful. I was shocked. I love Flemings lava cake. It is my understanding that the cake probably sat in the back with while she didn’t get it. When I told her we waited a very long time for dessert, her response was “well that’s too bad. But it takes that long for the cake.“
There is so much more to be said. But suffice to say that I hope to not have to endure this experience at the Walnut Creek Flemings again. I regularly go to Flemings in Rancho Cucamonga and Pasadena, which are in Southern California. However, I travel to northern California frequently for work.
Had It not been at a business meal, I would have escalated the awful situation that we endured for about 2 1/2 hours. But I could not do so at the time.
Service was impeccable! Staff was thoughtful and swift with attention to detail. Food was Hot, and flavorful! Highly recommend this restaurant! Five stars👍
Food over priced for not having to good of taste
I am a regular here on Sundays. I was disappointed to find out prime rib is no longer served. The prices have gone up, be happy hour is not happy anymore. They have lost my business as a regular.
Good food but very expensive. Easily $200 for 2 with a glass of wine each
Had reservations for 5:15, didn't get seated until 5:35. The place was packed & service was slow (not the help, just not enough help).
The Salmon was OK, the Filet was small, no sides included, the wine is over-priced.
We had a $50. gift certificate & with the above entrees + we shared a small salad + we each had 2 glasses of wine.
Even with the gift card, the cost out the door was $120., including tip.
We dine out regularly, entree's same or similar, same wines + sides included and average "out the door" is $120. to $130., without any discount.
My Son's Birthday
My husband & I decided to celebrate our 1year wedding anniversary at Fleming’s. Using open table we set up a reservation and checked in with ease. We were sat a short time after our scheduled reservation time but it was busy so we understood. When we arrived to our table there was a sweet “happy anniversary” card signed by all the managers on shift. Our server was amazing and kept our champagne glasses full. The food was delicious & dessert was heavenly. Fleming’s is by far the best place to celebrate and special occasion. We are looking forward to the next time we can return & will recommend Fleming’s to family & friends.
Our reservations were made almost 1 month in advance for 6:30pm. We did not get seated until 7:00 pm. The hostess did not greet us nor acknowledge us until I finally said. “Hello” I have reservations....
Guests that arrived after us were being seated before us. I had to check in with her at 7:45 to make sure she actually marked the correct person. At 7:00 my husband approached her and ask how much longer and couldn’t find us. It was then they had finally seated us. She did not apologize nor explain for the wait. So frustrating! The restaurant was extremely loud. I have been there in the past and never have experienced this , this is why I decided to book at Fleming’s instead of Ruth Chris. Next time I will reconsider.
It was ok. Way too loud... food wasn’t what we had hoped
For the price, steaks could have been larger, and more seasoned/tender; sides were excellent! Overall, very good choice if u want beef
Fleming's is good as always. We invited friends to have dinner last night. They own restaurants in Bay Area. They like you foods and services.
The food and drinks are not outstanding especially given the price we paid. Everything was too salty or so icy. Cocktail drink was not tasty. Service was okay but the waiter’s approach/vocabulary was annoying. Was not worth the money.
We had a wonderful dinner with very attentive service. We will go back and have already recommended it to someone.
Food took a while to get and I asked for the sauce on the side it was poured on my filet we slay ordered Coffee which wasn’t hot
Other than that it was good
Heard about it but never had been. Went for our 50th anniversary thinking it would be more intimate. Was disappointed when we walked in. It was very noisy and far from intimate. Started with ordering a drink that I had to send back because it wasn’t made right. My wife had to ask a bus boy for more coffee. She ordered a wedge salad, the bacon wasn’t crumbled, it was two strips on the side. No crumbled blue cheese and dressing was on the side. She ordered the lamb chops that she loved. I had the bone in rib eye which was cooked perfect and tasted great. The only thing was having a steak put in front in front of you with nothing else on the plate is to me not appealing. I know everything is ordered separate but it would not take a lot to put some kind of garnish.
I might try again but not as a special occasion.
I love coming to Fleming's! Even though it has an upscale atmosphere, I feel treated like family here. Everything is always delicious and served just as we order! I can't wait to come back for our next date night.
Birthday- not acknowledged
Very accommodating and great tasting food! Lobster Mac and cheese is the best.
This will be the last time I dine here, I was here a year ago and had a similar experience with the quality of the food. To be fair, I am a pescetarian and this is not the place to order fish, But my partners all had the filet mignon and were very underwhelmed, though I believe it was better than the halibut. The halibut was fishy tasting, the sauce over powering and the greens that it was served on were almost non-existent, but that is ok because they were very salty. This entree was $46. The waitress was young and maybe that is why she did not seem to be able to intuit when was a good time to approach the table, She came so many times and she was very disruptive. The auxiliary wait staff were very professional and much better at sensing when it was appropriate to approach the table. One very strong warning. The parking garage can be confusing as it looks as if all the slots are for a specific store. I knew they were not and we parked for free maybe 50 feet from the door. Our friend was uncertain and so he paid to valet park. The fee was $10! The valet literally moved the car 10 feet. There was a ton of open parking. It was just a colossal ripoff. I generally do not write negative reviews, But as the price of our dinner was $100 a piece (included a bottle of wine, appetizers, and dessert) for a total of $400, I think people should at least be aware of what kind of experience they may have. This is a group of women that meets a few times a year for a good dinner,. WE all agreed that we won't be returning here again. Last thought, The room is nice but they chose to put us in a booth right by the food preparation area even though there were many other places available. Consequently we were subjected to kitchen noises all night.
We went there for my birthday meal. The Ambiance was great along with fantastic service. Of course I had the Rib Eye Steak and my wife had the Chilean Sea Bass; both were superb. You get what you pay for here. It's well worth the price.
Overall a great experience , The staff was very pleasant and attentive.
The night we were there, it was a hit out of the ballpark. We had a 5:45 reservation and left after 8:00 without any push to take our table. The staff was more than accomondating and certainly were working their tails off to give great service. The food is always fabulous, tonight was no exception. The petite filet is just the right size for anyone wanting to be able to enjoy wine, sides, and dessert. The mac and cheese and scalloped potatoes, along with a side of brussel sprouts with thick chunks of bacon were all excellent. Lava cake was fabulous as always. Remember to order it about 20 minutes before you want it as that's how long it takes to bake. No complaints! And, best part, I met a nice man at the bar getting there early. Now I have to go back to the bar to check out that scene!
John was very attentive and helpful. Had a quiet booth. Our favorite place to go for outstanding steak.
Just can’t compare to the steakhouse right down the street. Disappointing Valentines Day dinner, but lesson learned.
My hubby and I went for the first time on Valentine’s Day. The ambiance was typical to other steakhouses—dim, somewhat quiet with very courteous staff. The main room was definitely busy and a lot noisier, but we were lucky enough to be seated in a more intimate area that consisted of maybe 4 other couples.
We started with the crab cakes as an appetizer and they were probably in my top 3 of best crabs cakes. My husband and I both ordered the filet mignon, each paired with a steak companion—I ordered lump crab meat & he ordered baked shrimp. The shrimp was great but I could have done without the crab meat that was served atop grilled asparagus...neither were very flavorful. We also ordered macaroni & cheese and Brussel sprouts which were both AMAZING!!! (I am tempted to place a to-go order for those.)
Overall, we had a nice experience and would probably return again. I gave it 4-stars because it was just like the other local steakhouses in the area.
