Fleming's Steakhouse - Tyson's Corner Ratings and Reviews
One of our favorite places for steak in the area. Food and service are always top notch and the management team is exceptional - making sure everything is to your liking. We’ve found this place to be consistently better than Morton’s / Ruth’s Chris options in the area and with lower prices. They also offer a very strong selection of wines. Worth the visit.
This is the best steakhouse in Northern Virginia. The steaks are great and perfectly prepared (I am picky and they always get it right). Sara was our server and she was excellent. Dave, the manager chipped in as it was a very busy evening. The wine list is reasonably priced and they have many by-the-glass options. We couldn't have been happier.
The service was good and the food pretty good ( how can you mess up steaks?) but this restaurant is way overpriced for what you get in terms level of creativity and cooking required. It is like all others of its ilk like Morton’s and Ruth Chris- the people are nice but NOT a good value.
We were about to enjoy a fine dinner on Thanksgiving. Our salads had just arrived. Sadly, we received a call that my wife's mother had passed. As my wife left the restaurant, and our boys (age 22 & 20) followed to comfort her, the staff noticed that something was up. I explained the situation to them. In an exceptional showing of grace and hospitality, the waitstaff asked the kitchen to quickly prepare our meals. They then boxed them up for us and sent us on our way. The manager refused my payment (I left the staff a sizable tip)and only asked that we return under better circumstances. We will. For sure. I highly, highly recommend Fleming's of Tyson's Corner.
My husband and I like to hit Flemings for Happy Hour, where we can share a great meal and a few drinks; however, we also like to take the family to Flemings for special occasions - and Flemings does not disappoint. While it caters towards "adult" diners and offers fantastic food and wine, they do have a kids menu that is affordable and delicious.
We celebrated our Anniversary at Fleming and I had no regrets for picking this place. It was excellent! The food was amazing, Service was very attentive and on time. We had our table reserved with a note from a management congratulating us on the anniversary! We are definitely coming back. It was a great experience.
We arrived early and sat in the bar area. Although we have dined here often, this was our first time dining here on a Saturday night. We were shocked how packed the restaurant and bar were! A great testament to the delicious food here! Although pricey, we love the food and the service is always the best! The is one of our favorite restaurants!
The drink at the bar before dinner was the highlight - great service, good atmosphere, good conversation, friendly people.
Dinner was good - steaks were delicious; dressing on spinach salad was way too tart - yes, I recognize it was a lemon vinaigrette but it was still too tart; brussel sprouts were okay; and signature potatoes were delicious.
Service was less than I would expect at Fleming's. I've been there several times before and had great service. Our waiter was more interested in hanging out at another table. Clearly, we were an inconvenience.
Once again, we enjoyed our meal at Flemmings. It seemed to me that the prices had gone up over the last few months making them more expensive than similar restaurants in the area. They do have "small plates" which have five ounces of protein as the waitperson described it. We chose two of those, slice filet mignon and lamb chops. It was enough food especially if you eat the excellent bread and have an appetizer or salad. I enjoyed the filet but my partner said she had have better lamb chops elsewhere -- for a lower cost. The next time we go back it will be for one of their fixed priced three course specials which represent a considerable savings. Also, it pays to be a member of their loyalty club since you get periodic dollars-off deals.
4 stars overall for this visit. Went there to celebrate my birthday. The food was excellent as always. But got Dan Q. as the waiter, he did not bother to read the notes that the host left for him. And forgot to put down birthday card and did not give me the birthday truffles that they usually give out. I had to ask him for it. And he admitted that we had lots of notes on the ticket and he didn't read it. He spilled drinks while pouring at our table and doesn't ask before taking our bread and our bread plates(I guess he thought we were done with the bread???), never offered us more bread even though we were on the last slice.
I'm pointing these out, because I dine there very often and other waiter/waitress always ask before doing anything, it's the service I expect at this kind of the restaurant. He's waiting skills are ok for a place like Outback, but not acceptable here.
The food was delicious especially the creamed corn. It was so good that we requested an order to go. They don't always have it. It has a hint of spice from the jalapeño and topped with cheese. They also brought back the creamy mashed potatoes so I was pleased that they were able to oblige me with the blue cheese mashed potatoes. They are heavenly. The wagyu steak was seasoned perfectly and had a hint of butter. The cheesecake topped with blueberry sauce was over the top. I was told by our excellent server that it is made with ricotta. Our meal was even better because of our server, Tasso, who I will be requesting in the future. He was informative, upbeat and we never wanted for anything.
After 2 emails and 1 phone call prior to our arrival , our table was not ready when we arrived. Only 3 out of 5 of us were seated, but we still had to wait 10 minutes for our server to “arrive” and get our drink orders (had to ask the hostess and manager in the interim whether we cld. put in orders for drinks). Food was great. Service, after a rocky start, was flawless. We were celebrating a special occasion, so rocky start kinda ruined it.
This was my second visit back. Initially I had raved to friends and family how my well done petite filet was cooked to perfection which is often a challenge withy well done request. However, this time, the mark was missed, although still tasty much tougher and not as tender as my first experience. Disappointed.
price was a bit of the expensive side...but the food and service was fantastic...steaks were probably one of the best tasting we ever had..they even gave us a free appetizer and gift card..so overall it was excellent... our waiter was number #1..we will be back!! when I get my bonus😂😂
