Fleming's Steakhouse - The Woodlands Ratings and Reviews
I received a gift certificate to Fleming’s and had never been there before. I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. I’m a vegetarian and found plenty to eat! The service was outstanding, really up there with some of the best servers I’ve had. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a fine dining experience.
Unfortunately it was my dates first visit and he said the Filet Mignon was chargrilled and overcooked on the outside but too bloody and undercooked inside. The service was awesome but we thought the food was a bit overpriced for how it taste. Overall, a great restaurant with excellent service!
Thanksgiving dinner is highly anticipated every year and this year is no exception. I was very excited to book Fleming’s Prime for this year. After having our dinner there I have mixed feelings. The service was extraordinary brilliant.
The food was not. The biscuit and Yukon gold mashed potatoes were the best part of the meal. The turkey and filet were not so much.
The portions were d cent but not much beyond.
The value paid was the most disappointing of all. The meal was over-priced and underwhelming.
I will not be back and suggest you find somewhere as well.
All of our steaks were over cooked, which was disappointing; I suppose we could have sent them back, but that is time consuming. My biggest issue is the upkeep of the property. We sat in a booth and both seats had large rips in them. For the money being spent here, they can afford to maintain a fine dining experience.
All food was outstanding. Great steak cooked to order was spot on. Broiled lamb chops were perfect. Service could not have been better, but restaurant was somewhat empty due to World Series game, (televised at the bar), although wait staff was updating diners as the score changed!
Wines were superb and with half price special making even higher end wines affordable. We opted for a great bottle of '14 Caymus Cab instead of a couple of glasses.
I was not impressed with this steakhouse. Personally, I feel there are too many of these types of restaurants (Morton’s, Kirby’s, Bob’s, Fleming’s, etc)and they all pretty much serve the same things and for outrageous prices. Nothing differentiates this steakhouse from the many ones out there. I ordered basically a spinach salad ($12.50) and it tasted like something I would have thrown together at home- a few blueberries, packaged sliced almonds, bacon bits that were over cooked and rock hard and dressing that tasted like it came from a bottle. I didn’t even finish it, it was so mediocre. I also ordered the petite filet ($45). I ordered it medium and it came out rare, but the worse part was that it was chewy. Maybe it was the fact that it was an end piece of the filet? My husband ordered a filet too, but his was more tender and was not an end piece. He even ate most of mine and said his filet was much better. Another food item I thought was lacking was the asparagus. I’ve been to many other high end places where you get large, tender pieces and where the chef peels the ends of the stalks so can eat the whole piece. At Fleming’s you get 4 tiny stalks where 2 pieces equals one at other places and the ends are so woody you can only eat half of it. I did think one item was good and that was the scalloped potatoes. They had good flavor and a nice crust of cheese on top.
Overall, the food was not up to what I thought it should have been. The service, on the other hand, was excellent. We were well attended to and never had an empty glass.
The waitress Amanda was an awesome waitress and helped out tremendously even with a part of the meal I didn't like the salad dressing on. She got me a brand new salad. The chef Patrick is an awesome chef, came and met us on the restaurant floor to say hi. This will be our restaurant for years to come.
In town for a business meeting and decided to go to Fleming’s. So glad we did. Service was outstanding. Our server, Luke, had just the right balance of there when you needed him, not there when you didn’t. The Chef, Patrick, was on the floor and checking in with guests. We gave him excellent feedback. Scallops melt in your mouth. Ahi Tuna perfectly rare. Wedge salad amazing. Drinks were fantastic. When back In The Woodlands we will definitely be going back to Fleming’s. Had a fantastic evening.
was little disappointed. our server still trying to get experience for sure, but he was good. the food however. 4 Main filets, med rare all came out different temp. 2 rare, 1 med rare, 1 well. being its a business dinner and the food service being slow that night, we all just just what we had. oh well
One in our group new about a special $49 3 course pre-fix meal that Fleming's had advertised, but the menu or our waiter did not mention it. It was (Petite Filet and Lobster Tail, with salad and dessert )fabulous but it would have been missed altogether had she not know about it.
Everyone noted how perfectly their steaks had been cooked as well as the flavor.
Two of us split a bottle of Seven Falls Merlot (very good value) wine and the waiter was able to split the cost as well on our separate checks. This was a plus.
Our waiter, Andrew, was quite efficient.
We love Fleming's. Food is always good. Service was not where it should be, empty drinks, refills very slow. Entree's did not arrive together and it was an awkward time waiting, but not wanting your $90 steak to get cold, so 2 of the 4 started to eat without the others having their food. Hmm this is why we goto establishments like Fleming's, to get a great meal served greatly.
Another wonderful dinner at Fleming's. Our server was excellent. Everyone's steak was cooked properly and was very flavorful. The sea bass was delicious. We were celebrating our son's last family dinner before going off to college. They served his molten lava cake dessert with the words 'Good Luck' written in chocolate. Nice touch!
