This evening started with a distraction. The receptionist had several people lining up in the dining area, near our table, to wait to get into the bar which was full. We did not think this was appropriate for a fine dining establishment.
Other than that, we enjoyed our dinner of Filet Mignon and Lobster Tail x’s4. Each steak was prepared beautifully, the lobster was a little overcooked but edible. Dessert consisted of carrot cake x’s 2, a vanilla sundae, and creme brûlée, all of which were delicious.
CONS: I was disappointed in the estaurant. This was a celebration of our 45th anniversary. We were seated in main dining room next a family of little children. The kids were well behaved but this was not a romantic dinner I planned.! We didn’t receive anything’ special . On other anniversaries Capital Grill sat us in a corner at a quiet table decorated with rose petals and took our picture. Morton’s sent over a free dessert. We received nothing at your restaurant.
Our bill with tip was 280.00. I expected my crab legs would have been a little bit sweeter being the price I paid for them.
PROS: My husband steak was delicious and melted like butter.
Would I return? Probably not. Would I recommend it? Probably only for the steak with reservations if not expecting too much more
Flemings never lets you down. If your looking for some of the best steaks or seafood in town then Flemings is where you need to go. Be sure to save room as the deserts are amazing. Service is usually great, really makes you feel like they are there to help with any of your dining needs.
Very loud dining room. Ordered salmon oscar style, and received only a few little clumps of crab meat and 4 stringy asparagus. This compared to Ramsey Steak and Ruth's Chris using full pieces of leg meat. Didn't even pour the sauce on top but brought it in a small ramekin not to temperature. Truly underwhelmed, but the rest of the table seemed to enjoy their meals. I'll not be returning though.
Flemings is always a great meal, great service and great wine list. Our meal left everyone completely over the moon. Petite Filet, Ribeye, potatoes, wedge salad and more. They executed flawlessly. Logan is one of the best servers we have experienced in a long time.
This is a place of great substance and service; it's definitely for diners favoring beef, pork, foul, lamb & seafod. All of which are magnificently prepared and plated.
The gluten-free menu is diverse and as wonderful as it is wondrous.
If you get the pleasure of attaining Jenny from New Jersey as your server, you'll be in for delightful service!
The entire evening was wonderful. It was my husbands birthday and we were greeted by name and his special day was acknowledged ....the food was amazing and service couldn't have been better. The manager came by to introduce herself and make sure we were happy. Our server, Jennifer Sauberan was the best and most knowledgable we have ever had...It made our night extra special to be treated so nicely. We WILL be back very soon Thank you again, Ruth Roth
I've been to dozens of fine steakhouses. This was my first time at Flemings and I felt although it was good - it's definitely overrated.
I liked that we were able to sit in the bar area where it wasn't so fancy and the service was very good.
Calamari was way too sweet for either of our likings. Crab cakes were the highlight of the evening- mostly crab. Ribeye was cooked perfect but not better than what I can make at home - so not worth $56.
Sides were shoestring potatoes which were pretty good and "crunchy" Brussels sprouts that, like the calamari, was too sweet and also not really crunchy.
I'd go back for Happy Hour, but Ruth's and Mortons are way better for steak.
I'd definitely recommend Echo and Rigg in Tivoli Village over this place - better steak and better prices - less than a mile away.
A very good deal are the price fix items on the Sunday brunch menu -- the crab omelet was nice.
The service was excellent. I recommend highly servers Tiffany and Logan ... they are friendly, helpful, efficient, and pleasant. The free mimosa or bloody mary at brunch is a nice touch. It is just a nice place to spend time at for brunch.
It was my wife's birthday so we thought we would try the Fleming's here. We made a good choice. Everything was excellent. Landon, our server was very attentive and his attention to detail provided us with wonderful experience. The entire staff did a great job. The food was prepared to order. The atmosphere was warm and congegenal. We will be back soon.
The bar area was really loud but it was happy hour. It was hard to grab the attention of waiters/servers/etc because it was so loud and they were moving really fast. My waiter although really sweet was VERY slow but it was busy, I waited 7-15 minutes each time she came to my table to receive anything. I specifically came for the dessert, although I did order food and it took the longest to come out! I ordered that first, then I ordered food after. She took my info for my rewards ten minutes later she came back with the bill. I told her I had 50% (up to $20) off coupon/reward. I don't think it was taken off she mentioned $10 off. It too 10 minutes to come back to get the bill/payment, which my card was already out and ready for her to take when she dropped it off. Then she came back but it took about 7 minutes to bring the receipt and card back. All and all I was done with my meal and ready to leave by about 650-700p but I didn't leave the building until 746. BUT when I did catch someone they were VERY attentive and polite with helping. My flatbread was greasy where the meat was sitting. My fries were slightly under cooked. I'm not a fan of Dijon mustard but there wasn't an option of yellow mustard for my burger. The small ketchup wasn't enough for my burger and fries but it'd take too long to get some so I didn't even bother. My cake was a lot smaller than the last time I had it. It didn't taste as 'fresh' as the last time either. It was still good, maybe sit it under the warmer for a few minutes. I LOVE the cream though, that's the best part! I am allergic to seafood so I wish there was more non-seafood items on the happy hour menu.
This second visit to Flemings proved to be the charm! We were amazed that the entire dining experience from the moment we entered until our departure was exemplary. Our first experience was so disappointing that when we returned for a second visit we couldn't believe we were in the same Flemings. The manager Jackie promised us a better outcome if we would give Flemings another chance and how right she was! We had professional and friendly service from our experienced waiter Rory Deering, smiling hostesses seating us at a lovely table out of traffic, a delicious fish dinner cooked to perfection and manager Jackie overseeing all to make sure we were totally satisfied. The restaurant was quiet and pleasant, allowing for conversation. I learned that our prior visit was a wine pairing event which took place on a Saturday night and may have contributed to the chaotic atmosphere at that time, but that was all in the distant past this second visit. We were so pleased with this visit to Flemings in every aspect and will be sure to return soon.
