Fleming's Steakhouse - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
I thought that things could have been much, much better. The prices were high compared to the level of service and the quality of food. The staff were friendly but not sensitive to the needs of the customer.
I thought that some of the dishes could have been better prepared. For instance, the calamari was served drenched in sweet and sour sauce, so it got soggy very quickly. Also, the bernaise sauce was cold and not very good, and the tarragon was so strong that the sauce tasted like licorice.
It will take a lot to have me back at this restaurant. I can think of at several other restaurants that are a better value.
Although the food was amazing, I was disappointed with the lack of attentive service and romantic ambiance. You can see the bar TVs and happy hour from the dinner seating area. It really took away from what I thought was going to be a romantic dinner date night.
This is was not our normal Fleming’s experience. Was disappointed with the food and service this time around. I don’t recommend dining here on busy occasions (in this case, New Year’s Eve). Our meals were undercooked and the service was much slower than usual. We waited approximately 40 minutes after our reservation time to be seated as well.
Got baked potato 15 minutes after steak was served. Ordered Crème Brulee and got fresh berries. Took so long to get dessert that we had to get it to go to get to church on time. This was dinner for Christmas Eve but also my birthday and no comment was ever given regarding a HBD. Server seemed uninterested in providing good service. Tipped accordingly.
Flemings was very busy on Christmas Eve, but our table was ready when we arrived. Service started out great then went downhill. We experienced at least 20 minutes between courses and our server did not even come by during that time. Our salads, and main courses had excellent flavor. The desserts were bland and the Butter Cake dry. Not sure if we will return.
Overall positive...the server was a bit aggressive with “pushing” drinks and dessert. It was beyond attentiveness and all about the tip. She did not read the table very well with respect to non-verbals and when to intervene.versus layback. Overall, very pleased with the quality of the drinks and the meal the table service of the food was excellent. Solid wine list and the bartender was good.
Overall, I felt pretty good about our meal here. I have had consistently solid meals, with near perfect presentations, the last two times I have been here. The value of some of the specials are often a great way to go, however please do not confuse "cheap" and "value." The PF Holiday Menu is not cheap, but for what you get, its a fantastic value. Our waitress was fantastic, pure and simple. Service can really make or break any nice dining experience and kudos to her. We had to sit at the table right by the entrance and that really was annoying. Basically because of the temperature and the ladies in the group were freezing every single time someone opened the door. Stay away from this table if you get cold easily. Our attempts to switch were very frustrating as it was not handled very well. That said we liked our waitress so much she made it hard for us to even want to leave, so that was a bandaid and she deserves a super kudos on that. I would highly recommend but watch where your table is, could be a very frustrating night.
I haven't been to Fleming's in a while and the location that we've always have gone to was the Chandler one. Trying this location was well worth the drive for us, Can't pin point why, I think maybe the atmosphere seems better than the Chandler location. I made dinner reservations on Open Table for 2 on a Friday at 7:30. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated right away, given a choice of a table or booth, we chose the booth. Our server Anthony was excellent.
We ordered cocktails while perusing the menu. We ordered appetizers: Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio and the Crab Cakes. Entrees were the Boneless Ribeye Dry Aged with a side of Shoestring French Fries and the (small plate) Seared Ahi Tuna.
All the food was delicious, cooked perfectly and made to order. Upon making the reservations, I did not specify that we were celebrating a Birthday, only upon arrival at the restaurant when asked if we were celebrating any special occasion did I speak up. With that we were given a nice little box of Birthday Truffles.
Atmosphere: excellent, Service: excellent, Food: excellent
As usual, Flemings delivered a wonderful experience. Our waitress was attentive and very well-trained. Prior to being seated we had a drink at the bar, and the bartenders were covered up, even though it was early in the evening. One was filling table orders and the other was covering the entire bar. Both were extremely professional and did an admirable job, but they needed at least one more bartender.
The food was terrific - steaks were done perfectly and veggies / salad were just right. Oh, and dessert was marvelous.
Another great experience at this very comfortable yet elegant spot! Jessica took great care of us, including seeing to it that our steaks were done exactly the way we like them - kudos to the Chef as well!! Very consistently good here - not easy to do !! Well done!
We have dined here many times and have never left unsatisfied.
Since it was Sunday, I opted for the prime rib special which included a side (pick any) and a desert (pick any). My wife and I shared a baked potato and the "loaded" part was served in individual bowls. There was plenty for both of us. My wife had the miso glazed Chilean Sea Bass and it was outstanding. Since we both enjoy sparkly wines, we had the Conundrum Sparkling wine. Our server, Javiar was outstanding.
