Great food and service!
Normally I would give 5 stars to all categories. This Sunday night was a little off from what I usually experience in Boston a few times a year and Sarassota once last year. Batting 500 in Sarassota. I hope this was an off night. I like the idea of Sunday prime rib. It was good but cold. The fillet was not cooked to midum and medidum and need to be sent back. They were attentive but re cool is never as good as first time and is not the level of dining I expect at Flemings

Steak was medium rare despite I asked for medium well. No availability of menu item after ordering so my friend had to change his order.

Two meals had to be sent back as they were barely cooked. They essentially served us raw steaks when we had each asked for medium. Our server neglected to bring us bread and was never around so that we could ask (every other table had bread). It was one of those things where you are craning your neck looking around for your server rather than relaxing and enjoying conversation. When a server did finally appear, it was with our steaks which had to go back. So my guest and I sat around with no bread to pick at, then got our steaks, then had to wait around for an unavailable server to return our steaks. The server took our steaks back (not the whole plate) so we had to eat our sides separately which was very disappointing. When the steaks came back they were fine, but then we ate steaks with no sides. It was quite comical. To top it off, the server disappeared again and NOT ONCE did she come by to refill our drinks. I was left craning my head around trying to flag someone down to help us. When you are on a date trying to ensure that your guest is comfortable that is not a good look. I felt very guilty that my date was experiencing these problems and my whole evening was spent trying to solve them without getting up and personally grabbing someone by the shirt sleeve. When our server finally came to check on us she complained that her "helper" was sent home (whatever that means) and it took another 5 minutes to get our drinks while we watched her get drinks for two other tables. When she came back we were done eating so we basically went the entire meal with nothing to drink. The whole night was spent apologizing to my date for a $165 dinner. Our reservation was later at night so there were many free tables - I have no idea what else the server was up to aside from ignoring us. On top of everything the tables were very close together so the couple at the neighboring table had no hesitation chiming into our conversation with their complaints as well.
Very good food, formal dining. Went for Valentine’s Day and had a wonderful meal.
Made reservations well in advance. When we got to the restaurant our request was told one hour and 30 minutes before they can seat us. We had to except a lesser desirable table. When we were seated it took 20 minutes plus to have someone offer us bread. When the waiter came over and asked us to order. That we had to pay a corkage fee, we asked them to open up the wine. Never came back and did not see him until the end of the evening. Someone else came up to take our order. For the value, a restaurant that charges $13.50 for onion soup should be pretty special, it wasn’t. So therefore what we thought would be a beautiful valentines dinner turned out to be a mediocre meal at best.
Food was good but lukewarm when delivered to us. It took 50 minutes to get our entrees. Our server was polite, but spent more time with her larger tables than with our 2 top since we aren't drinking or filling the table with appetizers. It was supposed to be a special dinner that turned into just a mediocre meal....
My friend ordered salmon, (not always a good choice in a steakhouse) and it wasn’t prepared properly. Service was slow.
I love the Fleming’s in Boston. And I’ve had good luck in the past at Sarasota, but not last night.
i ordered my steak medium rare and it was medium. My two son's ordered medium and theirs was rare
I got the king crab legs and my wife got the lobster tails. I thought the value of both were very good and was cooked to perfection. The level of noise was quite loud as there was no separation in the restaurant where we were. Overall a good experience out dining
Valentine’s Day disaster! Drove an hour to get to the restaurant. My husband and I ordered salads that were fine. Both of our filets came out and they were cooked correctly. They took my husband’s filet back 3 times, and mine 4 times. The waitress and the waiter left our potatoes on the table to get cold. I had to ask for them to take them back. Finally my husband’s filet came the 3rd time and he really wasn’t pleased with it but by then he had given up and just ate it (he couldn’t finish it because it was so charred on the outside it didn’t taste good). After the 4th time that my filet came out it still wasn’t done correctly. The manager offered to get me something else, but since my husband was already almost done with his filet I declined and just ate the potatoes. All this time, the waitress NEVER came back to see how we were doing. She finally came back to ask us if we wanted dessert, and I ordered the lava cake that takes longer. It sure would have been nice if she would have asked us if we wanted that one earlier in the evening. So we waited another 15 minutes to get our dessert. She then brought our bill for $96. They had taken my filet and our desserts off. I couldn’t believe it. I flagged the manager down again, and told him that I thought it was offensive that they would give us a bill for $96 after receiving our steaks a total of 7 times between us. He said he wasn’t aware that my husbands filet was also not done correctly. Isn’t that the wait staff’s responsibility to bring this to the management team’s attention. I have been a loyal Fleming’s customer but this experience was horrendous. So disappointed. What a way to ruin a romantic evening. Unfortunately, I have two more gift certificates for Flemings that I no longer want to use.
So disappointed. My filet ordered medium was served sloppily on the plate, well done , burnt ,dried out and tasteless. Since we waited so long ( over 1 hour) for the main course, and no one checked back , I ate some of it anyway as I was so hungry by this time. Granted it was a busy night but they can do better than this at premium prices to dine here . My mistake I suppose for not sending the meal back which seems to put a damper on everything.
We enjoyed our night out. It was pricey. We were charged $38 for a top shelf Margiretta. Not sure we will go back. They also called us by another name...Not very welcoming ! Overall not sure we will go back😬
