Fleming's Steakhouse - Sandestin Ratings and Reviews
Water was dripping from the ac in the roof on to us so they moved us twice. The steak one of my friends ordered was not done correctly and they took 15 minutes to get it right. I ordered a non-alcoholic beer and he said they didn’t have any but would check. He brought me out an arnold palmer and then forgot to check on the non-alcoholic beer and guess what they did actually have it. They were supposed to bring us some bread which never arrived and overall the experience for that high of a caliber restaurant was awful.
Overall we love coming to Fleming’s, and this time it was our anniversary. They had a special booth for us that was decorated and a rose for My other half. The food was great as always but this time they mixed up our streaks (cooked hers medium rare and mine medium, when it should have been the other way around). Which wasn’t a big deal we just swapped. The price is as you would expect from any upscale restaurant, I just wish there was more portions of food for the price you pay. Service was great as always.
We went for happy hour. The flat bread was delicious but our group had ordered 3 burgers. 2 of the burgers were ordered as medium but came our rare-to medium rare. We weren’t even able to tell our server they weren’t cooked enough because they didn’t come around often enough. We weren’t very impressed with our service either.
This is our go to place for the area. They have consistently great food and excellent service. Personally I think less is better. Although others in the family love the variety of the steak rubs and sauces. The chocolate lave cake is a lovely finish to the meal.
The food was okay, the service was very good but the value for what you get is just not there. Greatly overpriced for what you get. A 9 oz. glass of wine was $26. Would have had better value for 2-6 oz. glasses. The food was equally overpriced for the quality.
Was really looking forward to taking my 6 friends to thanksgiving dinner so they would not have to cook....it was a DISASTER. I booked one month in advance for the table of seven....it took 40 minutes to be seated! Ordered lobster tail(S)...got one; asked for more biscuits which never cam, the sides came ten minutes after the entrees were served, ordered creamed spinach, got steamed;my friend said his "baked" potato was raw, cooked the day before,
ordered vodka soda twice and received vodka tonic twice;leftover bags were mixed up, it just did not work that night, something was terribly wrong....I thinked they overbooked.
I don't like to complain because I know how hard it is to please people, but when you are prepared to spend $500 on a holiday meal, it should be somewhat memorable! It was memorable all right, just not the way you would want....Fleming's tries very hard to be superb in every way, I guess they'll just have to try harder. They should have comped the whole meal.
I was so embarrassed, the next morning I felt I should call and apologize to each of them.
We booked this for the set thanksgiving menu it’s close and seemed reasonable . .
We were seated very late after reservation, but tried to be understanding of the Holiday rush .
The set dinner had turkey sweet potato and mashed potato ?? And green beans ..odd
Our starter was lobster bisque that came with SKIN on top and was room temperature... very gross
We waited 45 min from starter to main course with no waiter asking if we need anything or a drink refill !
When our main course finally came the runners brought 3 bowls of the sides and placed them on the Corner of the table , the turkey was pink hard dry on corners - bland no taste
We moved the sides to the center / the green beans had a lonnnnng hair under the first layer ! !
Which was it! At this point we had enough was extremely hungry and irritated!
It took 25 min for anyone to come over in fact we stopped another waiter - no one asked was our food ok did we need anything etc our drinks were empty for a long time also !
The manger comped the meal which rightly so we had to go eat after ! The elderly gentleman who we had taken for a treat then asked her could i please have a drink !
At this point no dessert not that we anticipated anything worth eating - we left !
Will not return ever ! We live 6 miles from here think they are used to tourists!
I’m usually the good reviewer but this time no way
Jesica our waitress was fantastic. The food was great. Even the hostess came over and took a picture of my wife for her birthday. Not to mention the table was set for a birthday with my wife’s name on a card. Very good food. An awesome evening. My wife was very happy
We eat at flemmings a lot, we have never had a bad experience. The staff is awesome and Laura (the manager) will make sure your dining experience is everything you want it to be. We had our Christmas party there this year and when we walked into the room we were astonished by how great the room looked, the table set up, the flowers, the extra lighting and the little touch of decorations, they went way beyond what was expected. I don't want to just brag about what a great job Maks does because the whole waiting staff does a excellent job, the food is one more reason why we go so often, its always delicious. Just want to give them a big shout out to a job well done
Fleming’s is an over-rated chain steakhouse. They serve acceptable food, at prices that leaves guests expecting more, a lot more. Anyone accustom to steakhouse dining will likely be let down. Everything about it was OK, but not great. We wouldn’t return. There are so many better choices in the area.
Our friends arrived early and told them it was my birthday. When we arrived there was confetti on the table and a birthday card! Wonderful food and service. I was even presented with a gift box of truffles from the restaurant! We will definitely return for special occasions and dinners!
