Fleming's Steakhouse - San Diego Ratings and Reviews
Our dinning expierence started with a warm friendly greeting by the hostess, was exemplified my Mike, our waiter, and a table visit by the restaurant manager Chris. Our meal was 5 Star to say the least. This was my wife and my 47th anniversary and our second year in a row celebrating at Fleming’s. A tradition, now. Our dining expirence was second to none. Thank you Chris and Mike and to the Fleming’s staff for making our special night wonderful.
This was our best Anniversary experience ever. The staff was friendly, helpful,& accommodating. Our table was decorated with white rose peddles and an anniversary card signed by all the staff upon our arrival.
The manager gifted us a bowed box of truffles on our departure.
A special thank you to Patrick our server for showing a personal interest in our special evening.
Food was okay. I ordered my steak medium and it came out medium well. We then ordered a chocolate lava cake and they baked t too much and there was no chocolate lava. When we told the waiter they didn’t even recommend a new one. If I were you, I would try other steak restaurants since San Diego has so many
Outstanding and impeccable service provided by the staff, especially by our waiter. Excellent food - taste and quality - my husband's filet was cooked to perfection, and the pork chop I ordered was the best I've ever had. They were both so tender, like cutting into butter. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and when seated at our table, it was decorated with rose petals and a card signed by the staff - a nice surprise that made our celebration ever more special. The waiter also conveyed his "Congratulations" and offered us complimentary champagne. They also treated us to a gift of chocolate truffles.
I informed them it was our anniversary, when we arrived they took us to a table that had rose petals scattered across it and there was a card, signed by the staff. We were treated to a nice champagne glass to toast, and it was very good. Dinner and service was wonderful, and lastly they treated us to a take home box of housemate chocolate truffles. Our 10th anniversary was made so special by the personal touch and effort of everyone!
Not my first time at Fleming and not the first time at this location, however last saturday was a really different experience NOT an a good way.
* The waiting time for drinks was long.
* The waiting time for food was excessive.
* Had to serve the wien from the bottle myself during the entire meal.
* Dessert - the famous lava cake was a disaster - returned the cake 2 times.
Our server from London was quite delightful and personable. He provided good recommendations and apologized for items not to our liking. My only complaint would be we were seated in an area that was going to have a large party and we felt like we were being rushed out so they could setup for the next group. More consideration for the upcoming large party should have placed us in a different area to prevent having to rush us out at the end.
We've been to other Flemings restaurants for Special Occasions, so we were looking forward to coming to this Downtown location. All was going great from the moment we were seated to our excellent Master Server Patrick and then finally onto our delicious Turkey Feast!
The noise level was loud which was annoying but that was due to a large party seated next to our table. So 'Thankful' when the Manager had to ask them to leave since they were done and explained it was very busy and had customers waiting for table. The rest of our evening was wonderful except...
Main issue was that it took about 55 minutes for our first course and then another 45 minutes for our entree's. Very glad that Patrick was on top of this, as he came by to ask if we've had our soups yet? He apologized and returned to explain the Kitchen was running late.
Finally, when it arrived our plate of food was warm but we were too hungry to complain.
All in all it was fine and one of their employees came by to give us 2 Turkey only take-out.
Unexpected surprise ;D
Thanks for listening...
