Service was not as we have experienced at Fleming’s before which was disappointing.
Great service. Food was perfectly prepared. Tony is the best waiter I’ve ever had.
Was a wonderful restaurant! Great service! And amazing food! Will definitely return!
Fleming’s is great! We love going to eat there for special occasions.
Simply superb as usual!
Very wonderful restaurant with excellent service
Our waiter was awesome
Fleming’s staff made my dad’s 76th birthday amazing. From the card when we were seated to the specially made truffles for him to enjoy for dessert, every minute of our three hour dinner was excellent. The staff went above and beyond and we didn’t even need to ask for anything, as the minute a need came up, the staff was already there. A++++++
We’ve gone to Fleming’s Steakhouse, on New Years Eve, for about 20 years. Every year has been excellent, except this year. We waited about 35 Min. to be seated and 45 min., after our order was taken, to get our salads. The salads were delicious. Everything else was significantly below the quality we expect from Fleming’s.. The lobster tails were over-cooked and extremely salty, the steaks had no flavor and the coffee came cold, after being brewed twice. This is obviously a management problem!
We made a reservation for New Year’s Eve for 7:30. Didn’t get seated till 8:30 Waited till 10:00 and never got food. Ordered evening special, steak and lobster, and after waiting one and a half more hours, they told us they were out of lobster. Then waited another hour and food never came. We finally left after 10:00 pm. Several tables around us left also having not received food. We missed our New Year’s Eve party and left very hungry since we had not eaten all day, trying to have a good appetite.
Have been there on several occasions before and have always been pleased with everything . Maybe because it was New Years Eve , but was extremely disappointed in both the food and the service . We could have had the same dining experience at the local coffee shop
It was my 1st time there. We loved it. Server was great and the steak was perfect.
My wife and I decided to celebrate New Year’s Eve at Fleming’s in San Antonio. Fleming’s is one of our favorite steakhouses (3-4 visits/year) that usually doesn’t disappoint...until this visit.
Obviously NYE will bring much bigger crowds than the average Tuesday night, but from the start of our visit it just didn’t seem like the staff or kitchen was fully prepared. Our server was pleasant and attentive, but she was stretched and didn’t appear with the frequency expected from a $350 meal.
Enjoyed a couple nice cocktails at the bar before being seated in our favorite part of the dining room. My wife was excited to order their holiday 3 course special of an 8 oz. filet and a large lobster tail...only to be told “we are out of the large tails, so we’ll give you two smaller tails...which comes out to more meat anyway.” Fishy tasting, rubbery rock lobster is not the same as a big, succulent cold water tail!!! My Prime ribeye was cut thin, had a huge area of seam fat, and was not worth $65. Our Fleming’s potatoes (their version of au gratin) were just a stack of underdone sliced potatoes with some burnt cheddar on top. When it was time for the dessert course, we waited close to 30 minutes for our server to appear with a couple pieces of cake and Key lime pie. Not good!
For some positives...the mushroom truffle soup was an OUTSTANDING appetizer with hot bread and champagne butter, and we enjoyed a great Pinot from their quality wine list.
But all in all, there are too many other quality steakhouse choices available to have been so greatly disappointed on NYE. Step it up Fleming’s!
We were disappointed with our steak and Fleming’s potatoes on New Year’s Eve. When did medium well equal crispy burned? Even a butterflied steak can still be juicy. Plus, our potatoes were dried out. We will consider going elsewhere in the future.
Service was very good, except for being called for our table by mistake
Typically the food is very good except this time the Fleming’s potatoes were dry. Both my husband and I agreed that the recipe was off on NYE.
Sunday Table Special Beef Tenderloin, mashed potatoes, Fleming Salad and carrot cake. Excellent presentation of food and the meal was generous in portions and exquisite taste. House wine in tasty and served by carafe. This meal was an exceptional value and wait staff was above average , hostess was dull and a dud. Great meal! Loved it !
Took my nephews out for our second annual holiday dinner. They loved the food and were excited about their meal selections. Overall fantastic experience - service and food were excellent!
Our meal was on Christmas Day. Our experience was a mixed bag. While my steak was great, my sister’s filet was fatty. The manager was very apologetic and comped the steak and offered an extra side. We had great sides and enjoyed them all. Our server was scarce; however, the water server was Johnny On The Spot. All in all, we would dine at Fleming’s again. Perhaps this was just an off night.
Excellent service. food was delicious and the ambiance and service was top notch.
Great Christmas Eve dinner. We had the pre-fixed 3 course dinner. I also had the $100 a glass 100 point wine special offering.. Dinner was great. Everything was cooked to perfection. We each had the crab louis wedge salad, filet with lobster tail and drawn butter, and dessert. We also had a side of mashed potatoes. The crab Louis salad was scrumptious with large shrimp and tasty crab meat. That was my favorite aside from the wine of course. The wine was extraordinary. 100 point! It isn’t often that you can treat yourself to such a beautiful wine. For $100 you get the glass of 2012 Vérite La Joie Cabernet and two Ridel performance wine glasses to take home. Well worth it if you can appreciate the wine.
The usual Flemings ambience hampered by a the louder than usual noise level and there a lot of people in the restaurant. It was down right overcrowded. But it was Christmas Eve so that is expected.
One for the books! We had heard that Fleming's was wonderful, and the food WAS wonderful. But they were shorthanded in the kitchen (we counted 4 people working there) with probably 200 patrons seated at table and another 100 or so waiting in every nook and cranny. The service was unbelievably horrible, and took over 3 hours to serve the 6 of us, including a toddler. It was a holiday week, and we felt sorry for our waitress and assistant waitress, but it was at least 30 minutes between each section of our meal. They tried their best, but reported back to us 3 times that our dessert was not yet plated over about a 40 minute wait. Great food but the poorest of service. Not heading back there!
Fleming’s is one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio, and my favorite steakhouse. I’ve been many times and have always had a great experience. Wonderful food and fantastic service every time.
College friend and I do this every Christmas. Our favorite place. The staff was very attentive.
As indicated to the home office, we were not served Ribeyes, but rather top sirloin. This was a big disappointment since we always had counted on Flemings for delivering quality, USDA prime steaks.
The pork belly appetizer was not very good. It took a while for the main course to come out. The steaks we ordered came out burnt. We were celebrating an anniversary but the restaurant didn't acknowledge it at all.
The evening was a perfect mixture of delicious dining and wonderful company. The staff is always on point and the food is perfection.
We had a wonderful time!
Fleming's salad is always a favorite of mine. I love that they have seasonal specials. Unfortunately, it was the end of the fall season, so we missed out on the sweet potato frites. The acorn squash, however, was unique. The roasted brussel sprouts are always a treat. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and gracious. All in all, it was a lovely experience.
The food was excellent. Service was a little slow, but otherwise we really enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Flemings. The staff was great, attentive to your needs and explained what to expect with our choices.
Celebrated Thanksgiving with family and friends., five of us. The pre-set menu was delicious, option of turkey or filet mignon was excellent only complaint is that one side of mashed potato for four who ordered the holiday special was ot well planned, two people ordering would get on side, four should have been doubled . Will definitely continue to return!!
It was my parents 50th anniversary, I made note of that on the reservation request Not mentioned nor congratulated. Disappointing
An absolutely wonderful dining experience. The service was was fantastic and the food was perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Great service as always. Food was little disappointed this time but not the normal. Love this place !
What we had was great but they were missing several
Items which can be a challenge when the menu is already limited. Our waiter provided excellent service
Wonderful and the best.
Everything was delicious! The food is superb!
My steak was delicious but my husband’s steak was charred on one end. He had ordered it medium rare. He sent it back and it took about 25 minutes to get a replacement. This was a longer time than for the original steak. I was finished eating by the time my husband’s steak was replaced. It kind of ruined the fun. He watched me eat and then I watched him. The manager came by and apologized and comped my husband’s steak. We have eaten at Flemings many times and never had bad food before. We will eat there again.
Always nice for special occasions
We shared the evening celebrating our son's 19th Birthday and everyone was wonderful.
