Fleming's Steakhouse - Richmond Ratings and Reviews
I made reservations for my husband’s 40th birthday and we were seated for 30 minutes and our server never even took our drink order. He walked past us numerous times and waited on the tables around us, but never acknowledged us. The restaurant was not busy so that was not an excuse. We left after 30 mins and no one seemed to even care, including the hostess who had to get our coats from the coat check, though we told her we’d been waiting for 30 mins with no service. This was our first and last visit to Fleming’s and we will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Instead, head to Cooper’s Hawk in Short Pump. The food is phenomenal and so is the service. Don’t waste your time or money with Fleming’s.
The first table we sat at was int he overflow room which had bright lights and in the middle of the floor. It was not a very good table and was surprised with the assignment. Within minutes we also discovered the table was not level and had a great deal of movement. I requested another table and in less than a minute the manager took us to a new table in the main dinning room.
After the dust settled with the table move our server Chris made the night very enjoyable with over the top service.
We have visited Fleming's many times and continue to enjoy the wine selection, fantastic food, and outstanding service.
Food was extremely slow to come out. Prime Rib eye not worth the price. Wife’s meal was sloppily thrown on plate with no presentation. This was our go to place for date night but now it is hard to justify the price with other better options in the area at reasonable cost.
The food was very good, but the steak wasn’t piping hot, like it might have been sitting just a bit too long before delivery to the table. The Fleming’s Potatoes were left slightly too long in the oven and had some black charring around the edges. It took a little over an hour from ordering to delivery of the food - a bit too long in my book. Those issues aside, it was still a wonderful experience, including the surprise birthday gift of truffles.
My wife and I went there to celebrate our 52nd wedding anniversary. The entire evening was a very pleasant experience. The staff was very friendly and we were ushered in to a table set for two. A welcome greeting card, signed by many of the staff, perched on top of our table, which we both appreciated. Our server that evening was very accommodating. The entire evening was a very memorable experience for my wife and me. Thank you for making the celebration memorable.
Our group was here for our company Christmas dinner. We met at the bar - kinda narrow and small and very noisy! Good that we didn't have to wait long - we had reservations and they were on time. I had the lamb chops - they were quite good...and cooked med rare - perfectly. We ordered several different appetizers...shrimp cocktail - was delicious...Ahi Tuna, and lobster - that was great! The rest mostly had some form of a steak and they were all good as were the sides; creamed spinach - very tasty - Flemings Potatoes...there were okay - not a fan....and a baked potato - which was way over baked... The waiter did an excellent of keeping us with drinks and being attentive to our needs as was the rest of the helpful staff. It was a noisy place though.... We all had dessert (this seemed to take a while to be served. things got a little busy, I think) - dessert was a disappointment to me...Carrot cake was kinda sweet with too many layers of topping, my husband had that....someone had the lava cake - she said it was okay - and I had the warm butter cake...was not served warm and to me - tasted old and stale....not the best way to end the meal...at this point -no one was checking to see if we were happy as the meal was coming to a close...so we let it go with that. We were all full - and the meal was good. I think with a group, people are less apt to complain or send something back...especially if your boss is paying the bill....(If alone - I would have replaced the baked potato and the cake!) Yes - I would go back and be more selective.
Good evening but a fight broke out in the bar which occupied our waiter for most of the meal. So no refills on drinks, water etc. or checking on us until we were pretty much done. Not his fault, but the no one else checked on us in the interim either. Understandable but unfortunate.
Excellent meal at Flemings! Chris was an outstanding server with a great wine recommendation. We both had the house special - petite filet Oscar style with Fleming's potatoes on the side to share. The steaks were PERFECT. French onion soup as an appetizer was to die for. The portions are excellent. No matter the occasion, Fleming's is an outstanding location for a relaxing, incredible meal!
My husband and I celebrated our Thanksgiving Dinner here at Flemings. Our children went t their in-laws for the holiday and my husband and i decided to go out for dinner. The food was very good and our service was wonderful. It was a lovely evening and we will definitely do this again.
I was having thanksgiving on my own and this was my first time doing that meal at Flemings.
Had gone downtown previously, but that restaurant is now closed.
The food was VERY tasty and plentiful. Kim at the bar was attentive and made my feel very comfortable dining there.
Over all a great time, and I would recommend Flemings for anyone.
