The service provided by James Jones was exceptional, particularly as a single diner
My wife and I went there tonight for our anniversary dinner and they went above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined staff delightful, welcoming, helpful and very knowledgeable. One of the few restaurants I have been to and the MANAGER was very visible and helpful as well. He came to out table at least 3 times to check on us. We will definitely go again everything was OUTSTANDING!!!!!
I've already told a bunch of my friends how much my Wife and I enjoyed the experience at Flemings. Best food I've eaten in Virginia thus far! We already made a reservation to return on our 20th wedding anniversary (May 20th). It was a bit pricey, but well worth it. Dinner for two + 2 cocktails each $285 + tip.
Very nice experience.
We took our son there for his 18th birthday. Everyone was great.
Really nice dinner. Nathan took great care of us. Food was excellent.
Sorry Fleming’s, your steak is crazy expensive,
As always a great meal. A birthday evening with my husband.
Food is priced very high, but every single piece of food we were served was excellent. Service was a bit slow on refills and service in general but everyone was very pleasant. Our appetizer was taking a long time to come out so they took it off our bill. Great place for anniversaries and special occasions.
I had never been to Flemming's and probably won't be back. Nothing was horrible but nothing was very good. I would have something critical to say about every course but it isn't worth typing. Simply put, a 100.00+ per person meal should be better than just any other dinner.
While this place’s a-la-carte prices are famously high, the mood and ambience was great, and the service (from Greg Scammahorn) was top notch!
Our server, Will (William) helped make it a most enjoyable eve...great service and knowledge of menu and wines....
The food is scrumptious and everyone is very attentive and nice. Always a fabulous meal. Have never had a bad meal. Would recommend Fleming's to everyone!!
Outstanding service from James, the waiter. Food was excellent, service timely, and overall experience was very good. However, with 2 bottles of very moderately priced wine the total tab, with tax and tip, was $130 per person for the 6 of us. That's pretty steep for 4 table appetizers, 6 entrees, and no dessert. All except the final tab was outstanding.
Food was good. The service was quite slow. The house salad was disappointing— much smaller than on our last visit.
The service and ambiance were great. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff did all they could to make it special. Thanks.
Great restaurant! Can't wait to return. Wine list is to die for!
The service was fantastic! Jose did a wonderful job of bringing our food out piping hot and keeping our drink glasses filled! A perfect evening to celebrate! Thanks
Three steak orders not cooked to proper temp. After two attemps two steaks taken off bill. Ordered egg rolls then waiter returned to report they were sold out. Carrot side order never brought to table. Asked manager to take off bill and just before dessert carrots sent to table. Manager was professional and brought over several desserts on the house which we appreciated. Overall, for nine of us and spending over $900, the entree preparation was disappointing. I won't be going back.
When we first arrived the receptionist was very polite and it seemed like our experience was getting off to a great start, however; things turned for the worse very quickly. Our server took quite a while to come to our table and greet us and when he did he seemed flustered. Our drinks took 15 to 20 minutes to come, we asked for bread and we never received it, ordered an appetizer and it was brought to us not as we ordered it, my filet was ordered medium well and it came medium rare and burnt on the outside, the asparagus was not edible as it was drenched with olive oil and over cooked, etc.
After all of this happened to us, my girlfriend and I decided to not let this ruin our evening so we didn’t share any concerns with the management. We did feel the need for Fleming’s management, corporate and patrons to know about our experience, as it was underwhelming and especially for a restraunt of this price point.
I ate at Fleming’s in la in the end of December. The steak to me tasted better in LA then the Richmond location. Everything else was fantastic.
Thanks, Fleming’s! Always a great experience!
Husband & I went for an early Valentines dinner... and it was Tomahawk Tuesday. The steak was huge (35 ozs). We upgraded the salad to soup- lobster bisque for me and French onion for hubby. We indulged and chose the lobster Mac & cheese and mashed potatoes as our sides. For dessert we went with the lava cake and the key lime pie. There was so much food that we took about 1/3 of steak home along with left over sides ..,, we shared the lava cake and took the hey lime to go as well. We loved our meal and our waitress was wonderful - she even corked the unfinished wine!!! This was a great deal and we will definitely be back.
Love this place!
We waited 15 minutes to be seated for our 7 p.m. reservation, okay that happens. Our waitress was prompt and attentive. Our drinks were prompt but we waited 40 min. after finishing our appetizer for our entree a true appetite killing experience. This is a very high priced restaurant for Richmond and we expected more.
We decided to have an early Valentine's dinner at Flemings. We did not select a location ahead of time but figured out what was available when we wished to eat. Greg, our server was phenomenal and attentive. We enjoyed the seafood tower appetizer and steaks. Really liked the family style sides. The restaurant was quiet although busy and we were able to have great conversation without yelling or having to hear everyone else. Fabulous experience.
Always enjoy going to Fleming's. We go each year for my husband's birthday and they never disappoint. The ribeye is to fire for and the crab legs are amazing. We'll be back!
We always enjoy our evenings at Fleming’s. Our favorite waiter was no longer there but the new waiter did a great job of taking care of us.
This is our 6th visit and it was as terrific as anticipated. Wonderful experience, friendly knowledgeable staff, great food. Food is expensive but good for those special occassions.
Great dinner! We enjoyed it very much. Tad pricey, so may want to save it for a special occasion.
First time but not last.
First time there. The food was good and the atmosphere was great. Quiet because they wasn’t busy.
Flemings is doing much better, seems they forgot who they were for awhile
We did the tomahawk Tuesday deal which is delicious! We had such a great meal, amazing service (Nancy is awesome!), and even have left overs for tomorrow. Flemings has long been a favorite but this Tuesday deal is by far the best priced special menu I have seen. 2 salads, 2 sides, 2 desserts and the largest steak ever to split.
My steak had a pool of butter on top. Too much butter seeped throughout the steak. Caused an uncomfortable feeling. Dessert was dry. Complained, but not taken off bill.
Asked about happy hour. Was told only if you sat at bar. Didn’t know that included seating area beside bar.
Warm and inviting; a highly enjoyable experience and great for a special occasion. However, the wine and steak prices don't reflect the quality I'm used to at an upscale steakhouse. The cocktails and appetizers were excellent, and overall, a fine restaurant. Just be prepared to drop some $. Still, it's one of the best places to eat in the area.
Ate there on New Years Eve, had a nice evening. It was loud which was to be expected considering. The waiter was attentive but we did have to ask for pepper and salt, had a wobbly table which he fixed by putting something under the base. Overall good experience nothing really wowed me but would probably try it again, kind of what you come to expect of a national restaurant.
New Year’s Eve. It was an excellent experience as usual! Plan to return soon
Awesome, as usual.
Our steaks were awful. And service was poor. But it was Christmas Eve.
It was Christmas Eve. I expected to be crowded so I thought reservation would be the right way to go. We were seated after a thirty minute wait from the time our reservation was made. The waitstaff was extremely busy. We had to wait a number of times for the initial greeting, bread, extra drinks. The food was excellent. However, based on the price if dinner, my expectation was that everything should be great which it wasn’t. Have been there before on Christmas Eve and had no service issues
