We had a very enjoyable evening. The entree menu, while somewhat limited, allowed
each of us to choose very differing selections, all of which were tasty & nicely presented.
The wait staff were all very hospitable and knowledgeable about menu choices. The
entire experience made for a congenial time out.
The only negative was that my request for a quieter booth was not available when we arrived
on-time. I explained to Reception that one of us had a hearing deficit and they tried their best,
but could only offer an open table in the main dining room, which was noisy when we were seated, but did become less so as the evening progressed and others were leaving.
It is hard to beat the food at Fleming‘s. Everything we had was just perfect. They use the best quality meat, and you can tell the difference. The sides were also delicious, and a perfect addition to our steaks. The service was exceptional. Not that it’s a negative, but the ambience is a little old-fashioned. Typical darkSteakhouse.
We were greeted with good wishes and smiles plus a birthday treat, delicious truffles with a golden candle for good luck. My thanks.
Excellent steak, cooked perfectly. The service was great. Fun waiter. One couple shared their meal and was satisfied with the split portion. Our biggest problem was finding parking. Took about 15 minuets.
Fleming's had a 3-course steak & lobster dinner deal which sounded wonderful so we went for it. Appetizer was a crispy bacon wrapped scallop (intriguing combo) that really worked. We both had a nice salad and the steak/lobster dinner was excellent (we ordered sides at addt'l cost). Also went for a (shared) lovely cream brulee. All in all a very nice evening and a delicious meal.
I have been going to Fleming's for many years and always found the overall experience to be excellent. But this time I was disappointed. Their menu has changed - there are fewer choices and prices seem to be higher. The wine prices are outrageous. I was also disappointed that they no longer serve prime rib on Sundays.
They did have a 3 course special which was an excellent value. All members of my party ordered this and added some sides and dessert. However the entree was a petite filet and two of the four we got were tough and not up to their usual standards.
I will have to reevaluate whether or not Fleming's will continue to be my go to steak house.
We had a group of ten guys, so a nice steakhouse is always a good fit for that sort of crowd. If I had any criticism it is a bit noisy. However, the service was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome and appreciated. Everyone in the group had positive things to say about their respective meals. One of my friends who is a filet guy said his filet was the best he had eaten in some time.
Fleming’s was absolutely outstanding. I had heard good things about it, but it surpassed my expectation. The service was a 10
in my book! They presented me with a birthday card and chocolates for my birthday. The food was amazing and worth the price.! Can’t wait to go again in the future!
The service started out ok, then became hard to get. Had to stand and wave to get noticed.
Food was not delivered to person who ordered it several times.
Food was ok, not great. Salad had little or no dressing.
Given all the good choices in this area, would not go back.
Fleming's is a great restaurant! We alway have great food and service. This was our first time to the Rancho Mirage location, they were very accommodating with all our special requests.
Flemings is always good food and good service. Bread and water came to the table just a few minutes after we were seated. The steaks were cooked to order - we had three filets at the table and one of my daughter's had the seabass. The fish was equally delicious. For sides we had the brussel sprouts, onion rings, mashed potatoes and fries. The sprouts could have been a little larger in quantity but they were still good and the rest of the sides were delicious. Our server was prompt and friendly. Nothing to complain about.
We decided to try Fleming's on a date night recently. I must say, the service is top notch, very friendly and accommodating servers who were knowledgeable (they were available and helpful without being intrusive). While the dishes we ordered were excellent and very well executed, we were a bit shaken by the prices. This is not the place to dine at for the middle class (or like us, "lower middle"), but rather for those who enjoy a good dinner and do not mind paying exorbitant prices. My double chicken breast was perfectly cooked, but at nearly $50 for a plate of JUST chicken breasts, I was less than impressed. Add a side of Asparagus for nearly 15 bucks, and I'm a bit over $60 for a some chicken and asparagus... Ouch. Again, the food is excellent, but I've had dinners just as good as that, with more on the plate, for less than 25 bucks. I ordered this meal since it was an inexpensive choice, but my date wanted steak and seafood... and a drink. Again... ouch. Let's just say that if I had a rich friend, I would definitely recommend Fleming's.
Our server let us know about an internet special which we all ordered: Bacon-wrapped scallop appetizer, salad, 8 oz filet and lobster tail - all for $50. Great deal and the food was terrific. Without this deal, the menu is quite overpriced, but with this deal, totally worth it!
Food was excellent but very, very expensive. Service was excellent. Will save $ for a few years then return for special occasion.
Celebrating our son Home from college on Easter Break!
Always fantastic at Fleming’s!
Incredibly disorganized and completely unable to accommodate a food allergy despite advertising that they cater to diners with food allergies.
It was our wedding anniversary . Last year the restaurant made a big deal of it for us. I guess they forget about it. Oh well dinner was good.
Food is over priced and several non steak items were flavorless or over cooked (scallops, baked potato). I’d put this a ways down the list of good steak houses in the area.
This Flemings at The River in Rancho Mirage is consistently excellent. Great service, wonderful food, friendly staff. We appreciated the card and birthday bon bons!
This was a first time dining at this location. The food was good and the service great. The staff was very attentive and polite. It was a bit too noisy for a nice relaxing dinner but quite a nice place.
We were in the desert attending a wedding and decided to opt out of the wedding reception in favor of enjoying our dinner at Flemings. This particular restaurant is so much better all around then the Flemings close to our residence.
Little pricey, but great food and good service. Nice birthday gesture with signed card and box of candy.
Flemings in Rancho Mirage, the best place to go for ambience, well prepared food, and professional service. Definitely consider Flemings for your special occasions.
Amazingly wonderful evening. The staff, from the young man at the door as we approached, to our last goodbye, were superbly trained and professional. The "manager" overseeing the dining area was very attentive to his customers. We are not as important as we were treated.
The food was cooked and spiced to perfection. Sea Scallop Special and Chilean Sea Bass entrees were fantastic. Wine List; one of the best we've seen. The onion ring side could have been my entree. The Turtle Pie was just spectacular. We are normally hard to please and critical of restaurants. This one won the gold medal. I cannot suggest a single improvement.
For an appetizer we had Amazing Crab Cakes. They were the best we ever had. We had a filet and a 14oz Rib eye steak, both steaks were extremely tasty along with the Fleming potatoes. Definitely will go back on our next visit to the desert.
Took great of us on a busy Saint Patty's day evening. Better then expected.
Always enjoy our dinner experience at Fleming’s, great food and wonderful service.
Food delicious! A little on the noisy side...
Excellent server!!! But 2 dogs???
We had a $50gift card we got in the mail. We also got an email saying their 3 course price fixe dinner was good seven nights of the week rather than just Monday as originally announced. When we got to the restaurant we were told it was only good for an appetizer, not dessert. However the email said nothing about tat. A manager finally agreed to the substitution. The food was excellent.
There were a few mistakes howver, the flavor and quality of the food made up for it.
Flemings is a fine restaurant with good food and service. Their wine list is extensive and many bottles worth the price. Even though it is a steak house their other offerings are very good as well. My guest had the pork chop and he said it was the best he ever had.
Great food, service and we are always welcomed by the Manager Pat and Ast Manager Doug! Loyalty keeps me coming back! Pat and Doug understand what support and service to their staff and customers and it shows!
Everything was amazing!! One of our favorite places to eat when we visit!!
Amazing experience great service and excellent flavor!
Birthday dinner- great food! Service friendly.
Restaurant denied a reservation was made. A previous phone call confirmed the menu. The waitress informed us our selection was no longer on the menu. The manager was summoned and he said he would check on the misinformation and return. We never saw him again. An unpleasant evening. We won't be returning to what used to be one of our favorite restaurants.
OK steak and nice atmosphere. The service was poor--we had to wait 15-20 minutes for even the waitress to take a drink order. After that things moved along quicker, but the waitress seemed to be very uninterested in service--just going thru the motions.
One note- the French onion soup was the worst I have ever had. I don't believe that one could even call it soup and at $15 it was a poor joke.
If you want a good steak go to Ruth Chris or Mortons--never Flemings at the same price
My special occasion was my birthday with my fiancé.
The server did not even once nor the hostess acknowledge that it was my birthday. One of the reasons we picked flemings was because of there attention to detail and service sadly this was not the case.
After ordering drinks and finishing them before the food came out not once did the server ask would you like another drink nor did he suggestive sell items off the menu. For a high caliber steakhouse this was disappointing. The food was OK but the service was unpleasant. We ordered the tomahawk steak to share which was filling so we wanted to take some Togo asking the server to please save the bone for our dog. Sadly when we came home only the steak was present and the bone no where to be found. I will not be going back to this steakhouse as it was a disappointment!
