There was only a few tables in the restaurant during our dinner. A lot of staff hanging around due to limited customers. Tuna Poke appetizer was good. Calamari appetizer seemed frozen and reheated. The steaks were good, but one was over cooked.
Flemings was nice but I just don't feel the food is worth the money. The chopped salad was probably the worst salad I've ever had. It was sweet, sour and bitter at the same time? They had run out of cheesecake so they subbed carrot cake. The cake was really good. The portions were small and the service was fair. The server didn't even offer us drink options once we confirmed we don't drink alcohol. We had to ask him (when he came back) if they had other drink options? Or it's wine or nothing at all? For the price of food clearly you're paying for the experience and not the food. So we just expected a level of service that we didn't get from our waiter. You're paying Ruth's Chris prices for Applebee's service. The manager who came to check on us was very nice. The ambience was nice but I won't be going back.
We went to Fleming’s for restaurant week hoping to enjoy the evening with our friends. We were most disappointed with the selection of sides (only mashed potatoes and spinach were offered) and size of the servings (they were very small servings that were to be shared between 2 people). Only 1 piece of bread came for 4 of us. The deserts were quite small, i.e. 1/2 the size of the full-size desert. The service was not up to the standards of our previous visits to Fleming’s, i.e. it took a while to get our beverages and special requests.
All that being said, we did enjoy the evening with friends, but would have enjoyed it more if these issues had not been part of our evening.
I am so disappointed in the service. It was our first visit and we had a 7:30 reservation. We were seated at 7:27 and that was the only positive experience. We waited for 45 minutes before we got our salad, and the waiter said he didn’t realize that we hadn’t gotten it yet. Then 20 minutes later when our steaks were on the way out we were told that because we hadn’t gotten our salads until late, they had to cook new steaks and we would have to wait even longer. Our beverages, tea and water were served in rocks glasses, while other tables had standard size water glasses. My grandson had a cup with a lid that was bigger than ours. The waiter did offer to box up my grandsons chicken tender meal but we declined since we still needed dinner for the rest of the family. We offered to pay for our salads and leave but were told there would be no charge. We did speak with a manager and he apologized and said that even though it was Restaurant Week, that if they signed up, they should be able to serve their customers appropriately.
Great dinner! Expensive but worth it.
Busy due to restaurant week, but food was excellent. We had a longer than normal wait between salad and entree course, for which they apologized.
Food was good, but experience was not exceptional for the price. I would rather go to one of the other steak houses in the area where they are much more attentive to their customers. Had to ask for refills on water and never got the bread basket refilled even after asking for it.
Everything was great. The only thing was the food was slow coming out. We had a reservation for 7:15 and did not get out main meal until after 8:30.
It was an Amazing Experience. Very Relaxing! The staff was very attentive and pleasant.
After having been to Fleming's in Baltimore, MD, I was glad to see a familiar name upon moving to a new locale. Restaurant Week seemed a good chance to see if the quality was consistent across state lines. I am happy to report that the experience did not disappoint. We did order several extra items a la carte, including the Lobster Mac & Cheese, which was excellent. Steaks were cooked satisfactorily. Service was top-notch. Would not hesitate to go back in the future.
Of the few times we have eaten here, this was the only disappointment and occurred on our 59th wedding anniversary. The two best things were my Ketel One martini and the Caesar salad. I ordered the 8 ounce filet mignon, done medium-specifying no bloody red center, but rather hot pink interior. It came bloody red, and was sent back only to come back again unchanged. This time it looked perfect, but was dried out. The potatoes were now cold, and the waitress had to be reminded that the extra side of mushrooms ordered never came. When they were finally delivered, we were told we would not be charged. My wife's lobster tails were ok,but nothing special.
It took an hour to get our salads, the steak was just ok. Usually, the steak melts in your mouth. This time it was just ok
This was our first visit to Flemings as we were visiting the Raleigh area. The salad was excellent, the bread along with butter/cheese spreads were excellent, the sides: Brussel sprouts & loaded baked potato were also excellent. We each ordered the 8oz. filet mignon medium well knowing they would come out slightly pink. We were both underwhelmed with our filets. They were cooked ok, however they were NOT hot, and were NOT juicy at all, and little to no flavor. We were pretty disappointed because we chose to pay more by each getting filets vs. the Sunday special which was beef tenderloin. Although the service was very good (Kaylee) the steaks were quite disappointing.
Always a lovely experience with a kind and knowledgeable staff and excellent food service.
Service is always great here, but tonight was extra special!
We started my birthday celebration with a heart made out of tiny silver stars on the table cloth . Our appetizer was a marvelous seafood tower for two. Sparkling wine and a nice time. My only complaint was that my filet was tough and over cooked. Not normal for this restaurant, but I wasn't in a mood to complain. The ribeye was excellent however.
Since we live in the Greensboro area we normally go to the Flemings in Greensboro, but when we are in Raleigh we go to this location. Both of us ordered our filet medium rare...one of us got medium rare the other got probably a medium rare plus to medium doneness. It was exceptable and still tasted good, but not quite what I had asked for. The server was nice and friendly, but it took a while to get our check and everything settled when we were ready to go since we had some place we needed to be. Most of the time at Fleming’s a manager has come by to see how everything was going and they did not do that on this occasion.
Overall a good experience, but not as good as I have had at Fleming’s before.
Best steak I’ve ever had! Great for special occasions.
We typically come to Fleming’s 4-5 times a year for special occasions. I always enjoy the food and service.
Wonderful service, delicious food and Jessica, our waitress was a pure delight. It’s our favorite place to go for special occasions and We have never been disappointed.
Noise level and dress of many patrons was deplorable.
For such a nice restaurant and the prices patrons pay, there should be an expectation that men and women dress to a level of at least business casual.
Many patrons had on ball caps, t-shirts, baggy pants, etc.
This was not the atmosphere I wish to visit and continue to pay $279.00 for a meal for two.
Set a dress code!!!
Loved the Berry Mimosa's for Mother's Day! My husband enjoyed the filet mignon, my daughter enjoyed the lobster, my brother found vegiterian options on the menu, Mom and I shared the sea bass which was perfectly cooked! This is a special occasion restaurant . . . a once a year indulgance.
Everything was amazing! Kendra was a great server, everyone that came to the table wished us a Happy Anniversary. Food and ambiance were perfect. This is one of our favorite places and we keep coming back!
My wife and I dined there on May 4th, 2019 to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We were sat at our table which had rose petals in the center of the table. We also had two complimentary glasses of champagne. Our server Sarah was outstanding, and she did a fantastic job. I will definitely be going back.
Great night all around at Flemings. We had an anniversary dinner, and they properly honored it without "crossing the line". I'll definitely remember Flemings for special occasions.
It was awesome as always!
Loved the atmosphere and the table we were seated at. Food and service was awesome
Service was a little rushed, even though I asked not to be rushed. I was surprised with such an extensive wine list there was no French Rose. But overall it was a good evening.
We really enjoyed celebrating our anniversary at flemings. Service and food great.
The service was outstanding.
Great meal, attentive but not obtrusive service. A very nice overall experience.
Our server made our first experience not a good one. Not sure why she had a sour attitude; however we were not going to let her ruin our outing. The other wait staff picked up where she fell short.
Lovely , attentive service. We were not at all rushed despite it being Easter Sunday.
The lobster tails are delicious! Very nice sophisticated restaurant. I would go again and again.
Food was quite good, but the service was not indicative of the price
15th wedding anniversary
They were awesome!
Great food, great service. We will definitely go back next time we are in town!
Fleming's was an amazing experience. The food, staff and service is TOP notch. A bit pricey but I expected it. We will definitely be back.
Not to the normal standards I come to expect from Flemings. The service was great but the execution of the food was poor.
