Fleming's Steakhouse - Providence Ratings and Reviews
We went to Fleming's Providence during Restaurant Week to celebrate my birthday, and everything was perfect from beginning to end. Our server, Dylan, was friendly and attentive. Managers were circulating throughout the dining room checking on guests and keeping an eye on operations. We were visited by two managers; the second brought me an assortment of gourmet truffles for my birthday. The food was outstanding, starting with Parmesan bread served with two divine cheese spreads--smoked cheddar with chardonnay and brie with champagne. I ordered the pork chop with apple cider and Creole mustard glaze. Best. Pork. Chop. EVER. Thick, juicy. and flavorful. The usual steakhouse sides (mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, sauteed corn) were yummy and on par with those I've had at other high-end steakhouses . Flourless chocolate torte with raspberry glaze was rich and moist. One of the best offerings was Fleming's 100 wines by the glass. My husband doesn't drink wine, so it doesn't make sense to order a bottle. Most restaurants offer a limited choice of a half dozen or so wines by the glass, so if I want a particular varietal, I'm pretty much stuck with one label. At Fleming's, I was happy to have a wide variety to choose from. Stellar meal, wonderful experience. Highly recommend.
Excellent food choices and very attentive staffs!!
It was our anniversary. We received warm greetings with the anniversary card when we came in. Creme Brûlée is to die for. We also received complimentary box of chocolate from the manager afterward. Thank you!!
This was restaurant week in Providence, a great opportunity to try out places. It’s also a good way of judging how you are treated when ordering from a fixed price menu vs. the regular (expensive) menu. Fleming’s showed itself to be classy and warm in every way. The service and food were both excellent. The cocktails were perfectly made, the wine list had many good choices offered by the glass.
I also tried out the other fancy steak house across the street under the same circumstances two nights later. I wanted to compare them. We will be returning to Fleming’s. Not to the other one.
Went for restaurant week. We were not dissappointed. Drinks were spot on, Luxardo cherries in their Manhattans! Modern Caesar salad was a great take on a traditional salad. Filet was cooked to perfection. Flourless chocolate torte also excellent. Great service, highly recommended!
Went with family to celebrate 2 birthdays. Unexpectedly is was restaurant week. Selections were excellent and portions were quite adequate. 4 of us ordered filets with different degrees of doneness. Everyone enjoyed their selections. Person serving entrees knew exactly who ordered what and we all loved every bite! A lovely manager came by several times to ask about our experience. She even presented gift boxes of chocolates to people celebrating their birthdays. A very relaxing and memorable dining experience. Very happy with Jenna and her crew with serving us that night
Fleming’s was crazy overpriced! My husband and I go to a lot of different restaurants in Rhode Island. Although the food was good, it wasn’t even close to $200 worth of good. We definitely will never return considering all the really excellent restaurants in RI that cost half of the price we paid.
The server we had wasn't on his game that night , maybe because of the snow , i don't know but it was very slow service and my filet wasn't cooked correctly , my server asked never asked how everything was. I'm in the industry so i get if it was busy to make mistakes but there was only 4 tables being occupied around us. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, plus it was a birthday celebration.
The steaks were ok but for the price should have been amazing. We also wish they offered more than one green vegetable. Brussels sprouts were good but a voice of green beans broccoli or carrots would be nice. Only potato dishes. My drink was not good and not what I ordered. We have had better experiences at other steakhouses.
