Service was slow, and we were not served bread until asked for. The food was mediocre, far below what one would expect at this price point. The asparagus was old and stringy, and our filet was nothing special. Overall, there is far better value at this price point out there.
Fleming's really knows how to do meat! Our waiter was there just enough without being overbearing or absent. We started with crab cakes which were moist and delicious. I had the rib eye cooked to medium rare plus which was perfect and succulent! My wife had the Chilean sea bass which was tasty and nicely done but I would admit it wasn't the best Chilean sea bass I've ever had. It was a little more tough than the ones I've been used to, but maybe they're over fished. We also had a side of Brussels sprouts caramelized with red onions to perfection. I've never enjoyed Brussels sprouts that much! Even the steak that I took home for leftovers two nights later was still tasty even microwaved. Definitely worth it for a special occasion!
We always enjoy a great steak and cocktails. This seems to be our go-to place for this. They seemed short-staffed. Service was friendly, but uneven. One of us got a cocktail before all of the drink orders were taken. Had to flag down our server a few times.
Another special occasion, this time our 55th anniversary, at Fleming's. We had a wonderful dinner and evening. I needed a 'lobster fix' and was not disappointed. This was last Friday night and the place was really jumping when we arrived. Fortunately the noise level dropped a bit about half way through our meal. Everyone was super-nice and helpful. John M. has waited on us several times and always does a great job. We look forward to returning again and again.
Steak was not as flavorful as usual and was over cooked. The manager bought us dinner and dessert, good service.
Consistent every time. Amazing service. Best steak!
The waiter was short tempered and not friendly. This may be one of the reasons the customer ratings are not consistent and all over the map.
When asked to repeat the special items for the night, he became impatient and short tempered. This is not what we expect at a restaurant like Fleming's.
The server was no where to be found most of the night.
Menu has been downgraded. No more steak rubs! Baked potato was small and the server did not put fixings on the potato. Instead there were small cups of serve-yourself fixings which were not enough. We have eaten here many times, but I doubt we will return. Very disappointing.
Great food and service. Check the website before you go as they have great special offers (such as "three course filet and lobster prix fixe menu for $50) as the waiter/waiteress won't mention the information.
Our Easter Brunch experience was superb from the food options to the attentive service. We selected the Easter Brunch pre-fix menu which was not only delicious but plentiful and good deal ($50 per person).
We went for the Easter brunch. While the food was very good and a reasonable value, the service was painfully slow.
The occasion was my wife's birthday. She had fish and I had steak. Both dishes were very well prepared. Good wine list and the Fleming potatoes are excellent. The noise level is a bit high but the service was top notch. They did screw up our bill but I caught the error and our server was very apologetic and quickly fixed the mistake.
Fleming’s does birthdays very well! Love the service.
Many others offer better quality steaks at a lower prices.
The Highs:
food was good and cook
great value for the prix fix menu
great ambiance
nice touch on birthday truffle in a box
The Lows:
waiter did not check on us (only came for ordering and collecting the check)
bus boy did not refill our bread basket when asked
Business Dinner
Steaks were all over cooked. My wife asked for her steak butterflied, but was presented not cut. My son and I asked for medium but both were over cooked - not a stitch of pink in either of them. Worst experience ever at a Fleming’s.
Totally not worth it.
The food was mediocre
It was expensive
It was way too loud - with people actually screaming at times!
Our server Anthony was most attentive and our group of six really enjoyed our experience, as well as our dinner selections. We shared sides, salads and steak entrees, and everything was prepared well and tasted delicious. The two birthday guests were tickled to receive the truffle gifts; it made their evening that much more special.
The restaurant manager came around to check on us, too. We were all very satisfied. The noise level in restaurants is often a function of the other patrons, but since we were sitting at the front of the room, it was probably the quietest .
great services and good foods,
Brian and Alan took such good care of us!!
great service and food!!!! Went for mom's 88th b day. They treated her so well!!
We can been to Fleming's two other times- My husband and I went for an early dinner on Monday (3/12), we ordered the special steak and lobster with mushrooms and mac and cheese. I ordered my steak Medium as well as my husband. My steak came out well over done! My husbands was too but he chose to eat his. I sent my steak back and they brought me another , which was cooked more than the 1st one. They sent the manager over (who was extremely nice) he told me the executive chef would be making my new steak. The steak came out and was done perfectly . However by this time, my lobster was cold and the sides were luke warm. To back things up, we ordered the ceaser salad and there was hardly any dressing on it and they didn't give us the cristini that comes with it. I asked for butter for my lobster (which they had forgotten to bring.) It really didn't matter, the butter and lobster was cold at this point. The waitress was nice and very attentive in the beginning then we never saw her again. We have loved Flemings but this visit sure left a bad taste in my mouth! I should mention they did comp my meal.
We have not been to Fleming's for a couple years, and we were disappointed on this trip. Our favorite menu item was the Prime Rib Special available on Sunday. As of last month, that has been removed from the menu. Prime Rib by itself is not even a choice for an entree. Everything is a la carte. If you order a steak, piece of fish, or chicken, that is what you get. Everything else is extra. My son who ordered the New York steak said it was bland and a bit dry.
I am a vegetarian, and there was no main course that I could eat. I ordered a baked potato which was alright but very much over done.
All four of us agreed that we didn't need to go back there again.
Went for a birthday dinner. The food was above average and they gave a box of chocolates for the occasion.
I’ve always gone to Fleming’s In Walnut Creek, this was a nice change. My boyfriend ordered the 28oz Australian Lobster and it was ok...too much for two people
Our waiter, Steve was outstanding. Very attentive but not overbearing. The steaks and sides were perfect. Very good wine list
Fleming’s reduced there menu and we were really disappointed with the lack of choices. We loved there choices of Rubs n Sauces which they removed from the menu. It will be a long while before we return.
Excellent night out!
Awesome French onion soup! Perfection! Great offerings of wines by the glass!
The $96 dollar king crab we sent back. Discolored, smelled fishy. They did comp us, hoevee
Excellent service, prompt and very friendly wait staff. Prime rib was offered only on Sundays so was denied my first choice but the food was very nice. The side dishes were generous. A bit disappointed in the French onion soup though, a little too mild in flavor but filled with onions.
It seems there may be new management at Flemings in the Stanford Shopping Center. The service when we had dinner there 2/25/2018 was abysmal and the manager, while they tried, still failed to rectify the numerous problems.
We have eaten here a ton of times, and never had an experience like this. I do not write a lot of negative reviews. I am usually not a complainer.
Service was exceedingly poor. Took 45 minutes before we got any food from the time we sat down. They screwed up my wife's order and brought her entree when they brought everyone else's salads. They omitted half the toppings from my mother-in-law's Fleming salad. Think they would know how to make the salad that is their signature.
Forgot the sparkling water. Didn't ask if we wanted another glass of wine. Didn't bring one person's Sprite until we asked 3 times.
My "rare side of medium rare" bone in filet was cooked to the point of being charcoal. Server screwed it up, put the order for someone else's very well done ribeye on my filet. They took theirs back and cooked it more. I didn't want to waste a $65 cut of steak so I just ate it. We ordered 2 steaks and they messed them both up.
Manager took off one of the two steaks that they messed up, which is better than nothing.
There are better steak places in PA. Seriously first world problems, I know, but i just wanted a relaxing dinner out with my family, not this. At a low tier restaurant maybe you would just put up with it, but at this price point you have to wonder why you are dropping a fortune to be treated like an afterthought. Will not be back.
Great location for my husbands birthday. We loved the atmosphere and the food is always delicious!
Fleming's has a wonderful Sunday Brunch that we enjoyed. Excellent food...but... now they have stopped the complimentary carafe of mango champagne served with Brunch that made going there special. So disappointed! Felt like just another Brunch place. Even took away the delicious Hash. We were so disappointed. Little 'extra touches' do make a good Restaurant better.
Fleming’s is one of our favorite date spots. We were a tad disappointed with our steaks, but the manager immediately corrected the problem by apologizing and comping one of our meals. Thank you Fleming’s for making it right. Your service is like no other and we will continue being loyal customers! Always a great experience. Filet mignon was great, creamed spinach, Fleming’s special potatoes, Sephora champagne, poke appetizer... all great!
5pm reservation and arrival. Service started out excellent and deteriorated as the night progressed and the room filled. Ended on a low/substandard service note. Food was average. I ordered King Crabs Legs at market price $80. There were only 1.5 legs delivered and split, and they were overcooked and rubbery. I sent them back. $80 is excessive for 1.5 King Crab legs, and even at that severely inflated price, they should have been cooked appropriately. Check, for two covers, even without the crab legs was $300!
We will probably not return to this location, which is unfortunate since we have enjoyed dining at many other Flemings locations.
The filet was not the best cut I have had. It was OK.
