Fleming's Steakhouse - Newport Beach Ratings and Reviews
Very disappointed in our meal tonight. Since we were seated at 645 I wouldn't think you wouldnt run out of things on the menu that early. No Moscato, Prime Rib Pre Fix special was only available a la carte and the bone in Steak wss also unavailable. Server had an annoying habit of reaching across someone to clear plates from another. Why not go around to the other side amd remove plates. Food runners would come to the table and ask who had what. We had to pass the plates around to the proper person . I thought we were at Flemings not Dennys. Dirty decanter brought to the table. No bread plates. This is the third time we were attempted to be seated at the table right in front of the door. I asked to be reseated. Servers would knock my chair while walking by at least three times. Not a pleasant experience.
Generally nice experience, but our party all agreed that the quality of the prime ribeye was subpar. One especially was thin, in three sections, grisly and over cooked to medium (ordered medium rare) I can't believe it was really prime grade. I'd probably go elsewhere for a premium steak in the future.
We frequently go for Flemings because we like their specials and food. We had the steak and lobster special, but the butter never got hot. Lisa tried to bring us hot butter in ramekins, but it was not hot either. So we were disappointed we didn't have hot butter for our lobster.
Flemings is a special place. The new outdoor dining is beautiful. Must-have for an appetizer the crabcakes. The salmon salad for lunch was Fresh and tasty. The food was perfectly paired with the award winning Chateau Montelena Chardonnay. Our server, Berta was personable knowledgeable and professional. What a great girlfriend lunch today.
From the moment we arrived The experience was wonderful. We had a reservation and were given a choice of two tables. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. Our food was delicious. I had the chicken and it was excellent. Always an amazing experience. Although I liked the old school vibe before the renovation, I have to admit the new open feel of the restaurant and patio were a welcome transformation
Recently renovated and tastefully decorated.Food was delicious. The New York steak was done just right.Brussel sprouts were well roasted and crisply. The French onion soup although was brought in steaming hot got cold very quickly due to the direct draft of air condition.
Service and attention by Megan was impeccable !Although the place was crowded she did not make us feel rushed through the meal as generally happens during Holiday season.Noticed the Manager checking with all the guests to make sure of their needs
Highly recommend and will return!
Our steaks were great; however the side dishes were extremely small (compared to Mastro’s, Morton’s, etc). We had six people in our group, and we got two potatoe dishes, and two vegetables. There was not enough to go around. With the prices on the side dishes, they should give you more for the money. As such, for future celebrations, we will go to Mastro’s.
If you are looking for a fabulous steak, look no further! Wonderful service and a perfect spot for a special date. I prefer sitting in their booths near the kitchen, as this last time we tried downstairs and they are not finished renovating it, so the atmosphere was lacking. I was kicking myself for not waiting for the next available booth, as I had made my reservation through Open Table with this request. Excellent food, top notch service - the manager comes around to ensure you are enjoying your experience. My favorite date and family night spot!
This was the only less than average visit I've ever had at Flemmings. It's usually fantastic. The service was just as good as it always is, but the meal was not good. It was Thanksgiving and I chose the Thanksgiving pre-fixed menu which was my mistake. I should have stuck with what I know and love (Filet and lots of delicious sides). But like I said, the service was fantastic from the moment we were greeted, to the bar-tending staff, to the servers.
Moses did a great job and made sure we had anything we wanted!
Was just a little disappointed in the Thanksgiving Dinner, thought the turkey was a little dry and luke warm, as was the gravy!
The renovations are fantastic and looking forward to returning for what we normally get, steaks!
Food was good and staff was attentive. Seems like they jacked up their prices a bit hence a lower rating on value.
The wine pour seemed a bit light and the waiter explained how their measure it so it wasnt him, rather restaurant rules. I paid $19 for a glass of wine and it was a rip off.
If you are going to undergo a major renovation why not let your prospective diners know through Open Table? When we got to the restaurant where we have dined many times we were very disappointed in the condition and ambience of the restaurant. Our server did her best to make us comfortable but looking to the front of the restaurant seeing the dirty, construction dusty front window took away the feeling of a wonderful place serving a wonderful meal.
Had they notified us through this venue that they were undergoing major renovation, we would have had the option to try another restaurant or at least recognize that this was the case with Fleming's and adapt ourself to the situation ahead of time.
Service was really excellent n special touches of a fabulous not just cheap desert and truffles complimentary as we celebrated r birthdays
The food was good not fabulous for $50 an entree I️ prefer my food served hot not lukewarm the steak was nice not fabulous tasting
But they changed the decor it’s horible it looks like a cheap place now and it’s so open no longer intimate and doesn’t feel like a high end steakhouse sadly
