Fleming's Steakhouse - Livonia Ratings and Reviews
When we arrived, the fire alarm flashers were going off. The host stand was clearly flustered, as our welcome was less than it should have been. We were seated and greeted by our waitress, who was fine, but just fine. Fast forward 10 minutes and the fire alarm siren started going off. Thankfully, only about 5-10 seconds 2X but, nonetheless, it was alarming.
The flashers were finally disarmed after about 40 minutes of us being in the restaurant and not once was there any acknowledgement or apology of what was going on with the flashers/sirens.
Food was great, but I would expect it to be. Only disappointed in the people.
The food is exceptional. If you haven't tried the Seafood tower your missing an adventure.
Order it for less than the number in your party, it's a lot of food but it's a treat. Service is amazing, not pushy or trying to hurry you to "turn the table". All around great restaurant.
We had a wonderful dinner for our anniversary. The steak was (and always is) absolutely delicious! Melts in your mouth! The Fleming’s potatoes are to die for!!!!! Our server was excellent and they had a card on our table saying happy anniversary! She brought us our creme brule with a sparkler in it and send us home with a box of chocolate treats! Love Fleming’s!!!!!
was truly a great meal, the service was great, reservation was ready on time, they made a fuss about our anniversary. One of the best steaks I have had in years, the carrot cake desert was top 2 of all time. We plan to go back more often than just special occasions.
It’s was our 26th anniversary. Fleming’s greeted us with a “Happy Anniversary” when we arrived. We had a special table with rose petals and a card. Some one came to take our picture too and brought back a printed photo.
Service was great. We both had a rib eye steak. I took 1 star away because part of my steak was a little tough. But very tasty.
We had a wonderful time.
Thank you Fleming’s we will be back.
This was my first dining experience with Flemings. Dinner was good, albeit from limited menu choices. Dessert was delicious. Excellent drink menu with many wines, spirits and beers from which to choose. The service was outstanding - our server was on point with great meal suggestions and overall service. My only complaints - and they are relatively small - are the limited menu choices and the room temperature. Both my wife and I found it to be extremely warm, making it uncomfortable. Despite these small issues, we both found our dining experience to be a very positive one. Will definitely dine with Fleming's again.
Very nice dinner to celebrate a birthday of friend. Had the surf and turf and they have cut back, a side is no longer offered, and last year, there was also an appetizer offered with it. It is $49.99 and less food. On the positive side, did not leave feeling sick with too much food. The server was absolutely excellent. They had little celebratory coins on the table sprinkled festively, and they had a card, and truffles for the birthday guest. They take pictures at the table and frame them and give them to you. It was not too crowded which was nice, and we could actually hear each other speaking at the table. The acoustics in the large open dining area are historically a bit loud. Our friend was very happy with the celebration and making it a very special birthday. They LOVE Fleming's.
Fleming's made a wonderful effort to present a lovely dinner for our anniversary. The table was in a perfect location and the flower petals and card were a nice touch on the table top. The complimentary champagne toast was also a special surprise, and the photo to take home was nice for the memory book. Steak and seafood did not disappoint, and we will return for another memorable dinner.
Flemings's has always been my favorite place to go. Unfortunately, at Sunday's brunch I was greatly disappointed.we had 10 in our party. 3 of our omelettes had to go back. 2 were missing avacados and the blue crab omelet had whole garlic cloves in and on it. The one steak that was ordered medium rare was well done. The service, however, was impeccable!
We celebrated our friend's birthday. They were very accommodating, and even took a picture, gave her a card, had Happy Birthday sprinkles on the table. The only glitch was we ordered the prime rib Sunday meal, that was sent to us on Fleming's email and it was listed at $34.95 until the end of summer. The Manager came over and let us know that the offer expired on Labor Day. We said the end of summer is 9/21, but we just did not order another bottle of wine. The service was attentive, and a couple in our party ordered the steak and lobster tail. It was also good- but they couldn't light the butter warmers because of the air vent over the table. It was a gelatinous blob of cold butter. Our waitress was new, and trying very hard to please us. She was learning, and we were appreciative of her efforts. The birthday girl love love LOVED her meal! So it was a very nice dinner.
So we go to Fleming's on Labor Day for the prime rib special. I order mine medium rare. When my order comes, half of the meat is warm and half is cold like it was just taken out of the fridge. Our waiter is nowhere around. He never asks how our meal is. I sit there with my fork on the table waiting. A manager comes by and asks how my meal is and I tell her. She leaves with my plate and returns five minutes later. The prime rib is now cooked medium and the asparagus that I had on the plate is missing. Oh well. I'm hungry so I eat it.
Our waiter gets a table of six next to us and spends the rest of our night serving them and ignoring us. No refills of our ice tea. Nada. We finish our meal and sit and wait. A lady comes along and asks if we want to pack up what we didn't finish and she takes away our leftovers. The waiter is still concentrating on his table of six. We wait some more. He drops off the dessert menu and leaves. He's gone for ten minutes. We order a wild berry sorbet and a carrot cake to go. Ten more minutes pass. It must take a long time to find a scoop for the sorbet. His assistant drops off the sorbet. We finish our dessert and wait some more until he brings our bill. Disappointing.
There are too many quality restaurants in the area like Mitchell's and Cantoro's where the service is impeccable and the food is prepared as ordered. Maybe the regular staff took the day off and we had the second team but the prices were still the same. We don't plan to return.
Flemings made us feel so special on our 26th Anniversary! From the rose petals on our table to the complimentary champagne toast to the table side photograph, the staff did a phenomenal job. The food of course, was amazing as ever. We split the Tomahawk ribeye and a wedge and had the Creme Brûlée to top it off. Every last bite was delicious.
