Normally a very good meal with properly cooked steaks and fresh seafood. However this was a bit of a disappointment. We each had the 8oz filet and 12oz lob tail. The steaks were cooked to a good med rare. The lob tails however were overcooked. In fact one was crispy on the outside and jerky in texture. Flemings replaced the crispy one, yet the replacement was also overcooked (rubber in texture). We suspect they were originally frozen due to the texture and color, although Flemings said they arrive fresh every other day. These were Australian lobster tails.
For desert we had a lava cake and butter cake with poached pears. While the cakes were good, there was not much lava in the chocolate and the pears were not poached, but rather torched. They were browned on the outside yet hard inside. This was a Wednesday night so perhaps they did not have there A team in the kitchen, but it was apparent they staff on hand does not know how to properly broil a lobster tail or poach pears. We will return, but no more lobster tail.
We celebrated a big anniversary with dinner at Fleming's last weekend. What an outstanding choice! The food was great, the ambiance was very nice and the service (from Ann and the team) was perfection. She was there to answer our questions, make excellent recommendations and really helped to make our anniversary dinner one to remember.
By the way, we'd had dinner at another well-known steakhouse just south of Fleming's the month before, and its easy to give Fleming's the better review in every category. Thanks Fleming's! We'll definitely be back!
The restaurant accommodated our group of 17, as well as allowing half of our group to be seated early. We especially appreciated the restaurants very unexpected generous recognition of our 4 graduating sailors! It made the evening extra special for them. A great ending to a much anticipated day.
Loved it -- all around! The bar area is friendly and they have a nice happy hour menu. My petite file mignon was perfectly cooked. The staff is gracious. It was my birthday, so there was a birthday card at our table plus a delightful treat at the end of the evening! I'm not telling.... you'll have to go there and experience it yourself! They really go out of they way for their clientele!
My husband and I dined at Flemings for our anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better experience.The food, service and wine were superb.Even the managers checked in with us on several occasions to make sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend Flemings.You won't be disappointed!
Our server (Gurnee gal) was great. Super friendly and took care of us and kept us loaded with those insanely good biscuits with the pumpkin butter and honey.
We all had the Thanksgiving courses and they were perfect. That Wine List IPad is a fantastic idea.
We were celebrating my sons navy graduation plus thanksgiving at Fleming’s and I can’t say enough about the wonderful owner, hosts, waitress! it was a memorable experience and food was DELICIOUS!! Very accommodating and pleasant dinner it was! Thank you Fleming’s! We’ll be back!
We had a wonderful pre-holiday dinner on a Sunday. Our waiter, Julian was wonderful. My husband had the prime rib and I had the small bites sliced filet with risotto. Both were wonderful. We were celebrating our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised when the manager stopped by with truffles and a $25 gift card for our anniversary. What a nice touch.
Everything was good but the lobster was a little over done. The Fillet was cooked perfectly.
Jose is the best server I️ have ever had. Polite, professional, friendly and always remembers what we like.
The even was wonderful and we highly recommend this restaurant.
Flemings is having operations & management issues. I have been going to this local for 3-4 years, over 50 visits in that time. SO lets just agree I know the place and what to expect.
This weekend, my wife and I took a couple to Flemings and well they were less than impressed. the server was no where to be found, I had to beg for a glass of water 3 times. Needless to say I purchased a bottle of wine, no cheap, the stand ask if we wanted it decanted, we said yes, they them pour 3 glasses of wine from the bottle smiling the entire time. I was thinking perhaps the staff got into the wine earlier that day! Th service was slow, with many issues, as I watched around the room, it was the same, super busy, but nothing really happening...again poor management.
When you are paying $100 a person for dinner you expect real service, Not Tonight
I will call the location after being embarrassed that night for bring my friend to the restaurant,
lets hope someone reads these comments and takes action
